View Full Version : What online stores stock Specialist Games?

Particularly in North America. I have an itching to add some IG to my collection. I know GC:M does it with 25% off on Canadian prices, but often enough the with GW prices it is cheaper to buy from the States if they have 20% off, and then shipping+customs from the States often is comparable to shipping and taxes in Canada.

Also suggestions for any 2nd hand stores that do it would be appreciated, like ChaosOrc and so on. I guess Forgeworld is only orderable through FW as well, eh?

Sorry, I've never found a site or store that sells new specialist games' product. As far as I know the only way to get SG stuff is directly through GW. Sucks and sad but true.

I would not say it sucks and is sad that GW is the primary source from the online GW store. I am of the opinion that if the model is available from GW (or FW) then purchasing it there is the best thing you can do for Epic - if people are purchasing Epic Armies (and I mean Armies, as in 3000 pts + for multiple forces). Now if you are looking for models that are no longer available getting stuff from Ebay or another store is fine.

So my suggestion is to get your Epic from GW/FW (FW vehicles are cheaper) if they have what you are looking for - it is not horribly, grossly, more expensive to get an army from GW for Epic. There has been math done that you can get a 2000 pt army for 100 USD from GW!

I think you misunderstood my post. What I meant by it being sad that you have to buy it from GW directly is that you can no longer walk into an independant retailer and pick up a few blister packs of epic. I mean that is how I got into it playing with toy soldiers in the first place way back during the Titan Legion era. If I hadn't seen all the cool artwork and models up close I would be spending my money on other things. I suspect alot of people are that way.

Ok... I did misread your post, but it is still true.

While I concede the point, I really doubt my spending will affect the way GW will handle the entire SG games range. But it is a fair point, and for new minis, particularly Marines, I would go there if nothing else presented itself.

What else is there like ChaosOrc with 2nd hand stuff? The E40k models had so much more variety - that is, they actually had variety.
