On the SG website I can find the dog scenario, but not the rules for dogs themselves... could someone post a link?

No probs. There is a link on the right hand side of the Spec. Games main page for Fanatic Online Back Issues. A lot of people miss it because the text is really small. It may be handy for any future questions though.
