They came out with a Jump Pack chaplain for COD. What about a Jump Pack Librarian for Apocalypse. What do you think the odds are for this happening, espically since we havent heard of much for SMs other than Drop Pods

It's possible, but why would you take one?

I've never fielded any psykers other than Rune Priests, so I'm just wondering what the benefit to having a Jump Pack Librarian in a Codex SM list would be.

Gets yer brainy boy where he needs to be faster.

Using Veil of time to reroll everything is pretty darn nice, and could be that effective combat you need. A jump pack could get you there phenomenally faster.

Exactly, getting that force weapon or powerful cc monstor where you want fast is a great advantage

All-Plastic Vindicator perhaps?

Though I guess it doesn't sound too unreasonable for them to release a jump pack libby.
And while their add it; they can release a libby&chappy on bike as well. (with the chappy replacing the old chappy on bike)

Just used a jump packed BA codicier with a familiar this last weekend in a tourny. 6 S5 Force Weapon attacks with I7 on a charge with the ability to take down any one foe isn't to be sniffed at. The Jump Pack certainly helps getting that charge.

The new Librarian with the plasma pistol and force axe is nicely sculpted for adding a jump pack. Just add either the jp chaplain or shrikes jump pack.

I added one to a GK to make my librarian. Jump Pack + Hellfire = evil.

Another good reason for Jump Packing Librarians are the Fury of the Ancients or Fear of the Dark powers. Get the Libby to where he will be able to maximise the effects of those abilities.

Id expect to see a selection of Jump Pack characters with the Blood Angels, since that's their preferred means of transport.

Personally Id actually go a bike if you want a Librarian zooming around to get of the fear or fury, or a transport of some sort (Drop Pod + Fear = really nasty for some armies).

Yes the Libby coming out with the BA would make alot of sense.

As for the plastic vindicator that is indeed overdue, I love the FW one myself

I used a justicar with a Chaos Reaver jumppack. It looks great, but required a LOT of grinding to get the iconography off.

I have killed a whole squad of necrons with my libby. Also Hive Tyrants have gone down in one CC phase. With Might of Heroes and Veil of Time you get an average of 8 attacks hitting mostly on 3+ rerollable. After that you get rerolls to wound and lastly you don't even give them saves (+ force weapon !)

Jump Pack Librarian model would be nice.

Sounds like you're mixing powers, Librarians can only cast once per turn you know, right?

Brilliant idea - shame I play as Chaos now, might have to have a go at doing a DA Jump Pack equipped Librarian though, might make me start using my 3000pt+ DA army again.
