This friday night, EST, my friend and myself are starting up the largest game of Warhammer that we've ever played, 20,000+ points per side of PAINTED dudes. I play good, he plays evil. I'd like to share this with everyone via uploading images as the game goes on into Saturday...

In order for it to work I have to learn to post pictures, so here goes...

if you can see this, then you should be in for one hell of a treat.

Please let me know if you can see the picture

Can't wait, so what armies are gonna make up the battle royale?

He has Orcs and Gobbos, Hordes of Chaos, Beasts of Chaos (like 30 minotaurs!!!!!!), skaven, Dogs of War, and some traitorous white wolves!!
I estimate his forces to be over 20,000 points

I have Empire 8-9,000, High Elves 6,000+, Dogs of War 2500, and Ogre Kingdoms at close to 3,000

we're going to play on a 4' by 12' table

after scenery is setup, we reveal the exact size of our forces to each other, and if the underdog is severely outnumbered, then he may setup defensive terrain at our discretion

each army will have a deployment area, and may not setup intermingled with other allied armies, in other words, Ogres setup with Ogres, and 'umies setup with 'umies

reserves are allowed, may freely arrive starting 2nd turn, and arrive in the specific army deployment zone

each sides nominates one supreme general, that follows the rules provided for in the general's compendium

we play for 8 turns!!!

going to play friday after work, and go until saturday

I run the risk of drinking too much beer though and impaling my nose on my pikemen

I will be taking plenty of pics and posting them as much as possible during the event. with 20,000 points worth of **** on the table, there will be some downtime (necessary downtime)

Instead of using the url tags for your photo links, try using the image tags to display them here. Thats the mountain icon next to the balloon icon for quoting.

trust me a 4 foot by 12 foot table is no way big enough unless you use some kind of reserves rule!

we played a 20000 point per side game at warhammer world 2 years ago and needed over 30 feet of table, even then it was a squeeze and we regretted not using the 6th table we reserved!

it will be an utter bloodbath, enjoy!

I wonder how much it's all worth? Must be at least £1000 bought new.

but yeah I look forward to seeing it too, even if he doesn't field any dark elves.

1000 pounds doesn't even come close i guess..

Anyway.. i really like to see that.

Years ago during 4th and 5th edition Fantasy (more 4th) one LGS ran a semi annual tournament/Fantasy convention and when we finished the tournament at around 7 or 8 pm we usually took our armies, cobbled together a few tables and just played.

6-8 players with 2000 points each.. just a huge bash and much fun. There were stories in these games.. i could talk endlessly about it.

Have fun and give us the pictures.;)

Been building up for years, but during the last 2, ebay has been a great help to me

I would get some insane deals as dudes sold off their collections

Basically, I have no less that 10,000 more points unpainted

You have one life to live, so live it up

Test passed!

Can't wait to see the battlefield with the armies deployed. Best of luck with your game.

Be careful not to run out of beer in the middle of the game ;)

Several months ago, to celebrate the ending of a WFB Campaign, the players (10) in the group all tossed in 2,000 pts each, and we did a huge battle, 2 6' x 4' tables, the standard "Good" vrs "Evil". Naturally enough, we faced off on a one to one basis, and I ended up facing my Empire vrs the Skaven. I was winning the local fight, but the Ogre/Vampire Count forces broke the Wood/High elves center, and we called the game. 20,000 pts of troops on a table was pretty impressive through.
Good luck on your battle

That would be incredibly boring to watch.

Not if they use multiple cameras and then edit it on their computer and add effects, and makeing the movie ~5-10 minutes.

And I think I'll steal that HE colour scheme.

As per the rules suggestions in The Genral's Compendium, we will be setting up 1 ARMY at a time, I figure thqat it will take about an hour or so

The real trick would be to use stop motion cinematogrophy with closeups on battles and everything, to turn it into an animated short showing the whole battle. :D

The battle will be posted under "The Battle for Bogenhafen"

"Battle for Bögenhafen"?

If I weren't mature, I would laugh more then I normaly do, since I more or less laugh almost all the time.
