No price tag. I should assume these were for retailers/GW stores to hang blister racks on walls in shops. It might have been easier for them to put those in a blister than in a ziplock bag. Just a thought.

That looks like someone put the screws into an old blister and glued it together again.

Gaebriel

I guess someone skillfully used an exacto-knife and some glue ;)

What does the auction say, and how much do they want?

thats what he writes up on ebay - that they were sent to retailers/shops for there stands, seems madness that they would even hope some loon would want em....

if i knew how id post the link to the auction.

Nice find.

I don't see how you can blame the guy for trying to make a few quid off of old stuff he's got lying around. It's not like he's put up a high opening bid or anything.

And like Bloodknight, I'd get it for the novelty value. It looks great, I love how there's a piece of foam in it for no apparent reason. I wonder if they come with bases.

grg3d
09-04-2007, 21:31
HI , I'm not blaming him for selling them...I think its the funniest thing seen in quite a while :p

I just want to know which codex is going to get this over powered, undered costed unit?

Beacuse if they get screws I want some nuts

Bloodknight
09-04-2007, 21:35
I´d bid on it if I hadn´t overstretched my financial budget for stupid things from England (like limited minis) for this month already ;).

I think I'd rather have the wall screws than that "professionally painted" model.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Putting "professionally painted" in your ebay auction is like putting "curvy" in your personal ad. We all know what it means.

That's not even a bret- its one of the older WE models, between the 5th ed ending and the 6th ed revision. You got 8 for a fiver!

I'd buy 'em just so I could take them to a tourney as grots and when the managers come up and say that its not a tournament legal model I can turn around and say "Oh Reeeaaaalllllyyyy?":D

QUOTE]

No need for an exacto-knife a lot of those old blister packs just pulled neatly off the cardboard backing, I had loads of the plastic bits and I used them as mixing trays for painting.

Maybe GW are diversifying :p :D

I mean really, selling off the screws that hold GW HQ together, that just sucks!

now this one works if you are familiar with the Father Ted episode where he teaches Dougal about the difference between "small" and "faraway"

If not, then you won't laugh as much as I did.

Luckly, I am very familiar with the excellent Father Ted (and then some), so I had a proper little chuckle at that last one.

Honestly, why call them far away models? Why not smaller ones? I just hope the eBayer in question is a Father Ted fan, otherwise, it's just scary.

As for that Wood Elf......."A professionally well painted warhammer that's worth having." Is it just me, or is there a distinct lack of any Warhammers on that model? Why do people who dont play the games always refer to them as "a warhammer". I went to school with someone who did, and it always bugged me like crazy. He also called them "figurines". Why not models??

The Cawdor "Golden Demon" auction:
Have you seen the feedback the seller left for the winning bidder (winning amount: £0.01)?
I'm guessing the "winner" is the guy who owns the figure, and his mate (the seller) was extracting the urine.

lol these are great. They remind me of another topic on here a few months ago that had a link to a "wraithlord" on sale.

For 2$.

The thing was like a 2 foot tall popsicle stick replica of a wraithlord with cotton balls for the head. It could not even stand by it self and the person claims it was "tournament legal" and "amazingly high quality material".

lol it didn't even look like a wraithlord, more like a 4-pronged cotton kabob.
:p

Edit: someone on this board got it for 5$ dollars I just remembered Imao
