View Full Version : ALTERNATIVE...(army(ies)) blog

Greetings and welcome to my little, but expanding, corner on this forum!

First some facts to introduce myself: My name is Jonnie (read Johnny) Gebka, I'm 18 and live in Germany at the mo. I still go to school and have a few passions of which fantasy is the biggest of course. Not Warhammer Fantasy but any Fantasy. From LOTR, HP, Narnia, His Dark Materials over the Warcraft, Confrontation and Warhammer universes to some not so known worlds, like the old Kingdom, Cornelia Funkes world or Zamonien.

I started this blog for two reasons. First of all to show my works, my figures and tell their story. I buy Blisters, boxes and co. for only one reason: The miniature itself....no other reason! I don't play any known system (NONE!) and I'm actually not interested. Not a tad.

In my blog you will get to see many miniatures ranging from whole armys to many individuals. I hope you will be able to help me improve and give me many ideas when help is needed.
Me and my friend David collect minis since 3 years approximatley (?) for our roleplaying games. We play with own rules and figures. He's the master, I'm the player :). Our collection includes all kinds of miniatures. We've got WH beastmen, next to Reaper elves and Rackham Undead. Celtos, Grenadier, Partha, Wargods and other known & unknown producers.

I'll start my blog with some pictures of my older works.
This is a beastman army I painted in four days on and off in January. Bear in mind that I'm not a gamer so I didn't have rules in mind when I/ my friend bought them.

This is the main army in a very natural theme. Beastmen aren't baddies in our world, rather some sort of barbarians living in the mountains and forests who interact with humans rather peacefully. Of course they prefer living on their own. =P

Some closer pictures on some conversions:

And the bulk of the army, the warriors. Note the chief stretching aout his hand and the miserable freehand on the banner...-.-

Okay now for the magic users. Two tribal shamans. One, a slightly converted GW beastman and another smaller one from Fenryll. The funny angle seems to make the big one shortleged!

An Oger created from scratch with lots of bits glued on. I made the mistake of putting on a smaller hand (the right one if you couldn't tell ^^) and noticed it only when I was ready painting...sh** happens!

And some elite troopers for my gang: Bestigors.

Here are some converted gors. As they are rather human sized I decided to make them smaller beastmen who can be hired as Dogs of War. That's the reason for the different equipment and so forth:

10-04-2007, 17:39
And last but not least some rare beastmen. A Ladyfox with a bow. A Hog warrior and big Deerman. All of them are produced by reaper and are not painted yet to my current standart::p

We understand beastmen as half-men half-animals....any sort of animal. So we've got some different sorts of figures in this group. Next to those there are Fishmen, Birdmen, Elefantmen, Crocs, Squidmen and of course Lizardmen. But as we have a bigger number of them we decided to make them an own army.

So now I presented my first army (of course not first painted one^^) and I hope you don't dislike our way of approaching the hobby. If you feel like seeing more ( and believe me I've got a lot more) just comment or ask questions. C&C are very much appreciated.

Here's some more tasty stuff you can chose from. Tell me what you would like to see next ( if anything) and I'll pick the one with the most votes. Of course from time to time I might put up some pics of WIPS and started armys:

- Undead (half-done, rather Rackham figures, zombies, skelletons, Eijhin de Vanth, ghouls...)
- Lizardmen (GW, Wargods and a self-made Slann)
- or an Empire army with old figs and a very unique colourscheme (very dark blue, yellow, gold, silver ^^)

It's up to you!

Zombies show us zombies. I like the free hand on the banner it looks very nice.

bert n ernie
11-04-2007, 00:51
2nd vote for Zombies!

Your free hand is far better than you think. I think its quite impressive.

11-04-2007, 08:19
oh well....I can show you zombies it's just that the zombies of my undead army still have the old paintjob:( sry
But if you want to see the finished skelleton regiment, the ghouls ( which eventually are zombies) and an evil necromancer you can get that! =D

11-04-2007, 10:22
Anything undead-ish will do :D

Really like your painting...

11-04-2007, 11:48
Looking good, I like look you have with your Beasts and it is good to see someone not afraid to use non-GW models in an army.

Also here is another vote for seeing some Undead, always good to see another corpse general!

11-04-2007, 12:20
So be it!:o
The undead hordes of Netherland awaken once again to walk the living kingdoms and bring death and destruction to those they once called friends, foes and family.

Await an update in a few hours time. Some part of the army is already done: The first Necromancer and until now the only leader for my undead gang, Eijhin de Vanth (Rackham), some nice and bloody Reaper ghouls, and ten skelleton warriors (Rackham)!

The mist had risen a few hours ago but although a stormy wind was blowing in from the shore the dense clouds had not left Innsmouth. The villagers hadn't done anything but wonder and bring in their washings until now...

The cry pierced the chilling ears of every man and woman in the village. The dogs began to whine and hid under tables and beds. The horses and cattle in their barns got nervous and the last light of day disapeared.
Suddenly the church bells started to sound. A slow melancholic melody filled the electric atmosphere of Innsmouth. A dozen men left their houses and came together on the marketplace in front of the church and townhall.
The church doors were ajar and the mist had cleared from the market. A terrible view lay in front of the men: Hanging on the cord of the bells the corpses of the priest and three choir boys hung and sounding the bell was a shadowy figure, clad in red and with horns of Darkness.

They tried to run. They tried to hide. But they got caught. They got found. All of them.

Tada! Ejhin's band of undead before attacking Innsmouth.
Ejhin herself in all her undead glory:

The ten skelletons are the remains of ancient men from Innsmouth burried in the cemetry centuries ago.

And the three ghouls are a birthday present from her loving father and her personal bodguard:evilgrin:

If you want to see more of Ejhin and her band click number
1ONE1: -See Ejhins band evolve. In Innsmouth she found three horsemen who accompany her now and she has evoked two mighty beings. Either ethereal wizards or Shadows of time you choose!

or pick something completely different:
2TWO2: -maybe the Empire troops, dutiful fighters for justice..blah blah blah...and their Emperor Maximilian III, that are exposed to the undead scourge and have to find a way to fight it

or suggest something different.

11-04-2007, 16:18
One! Oneoneone!

11-04-2007, 18:38

Also, really dig those beastmen, nice conversions and painting. I especially dig the banner ;) Kudos on the reaper half-beasties!

11-04-2007, 19:12
Small update here:p

First of all thanks for all your kind comments. Don't hesitate to criticise, too. Well it is kind of funny that I'm posting more replies myself then you are, but oh well.....:cries:

Await two ethereal magicians joining Ejhins ranks. I see that you guys seem to like the undead or undead in general but if you don't mind I might move on to another project soon...exept if enough of you ask me not to!

So do you wish to see ghostly beings, Shadows of time and space and Zombays (riding and on foot) join in the fun? Then post:D
And now off to see Heroes.

12-04-2007, 00:10
One! Undead rule!

P.S. I like your Skeletons, they look very frail and old. (That is a compliment btw)

12-04-2007, 08:53

Withering lights filled the ancient crypt. At first the olden grave was bathed in a cold, unatural and haunting brightness then it was swallowed up by a darkness even Ejhin had never seen. Her puppets of bone had stayed outside, fearing without brains and heart the evil lurking underground. Only the three ghouls had followed her but now they lay howling behind their mistress.
A few minutes nothing happened. Then all at once a noise filled the crypt. Stone scratching on stone. And again the unholy light showed up in two cracks getting bigger and bigger. A sudden rush of frosty air blew Ejhins bloody coat up and her servants retreated further back.
Then the cry of a hundred lost souls filled the grave and two shades appeared in the shadows. Ejhin smiled and started to recite the second incantation. She had resurrected her new servants, now they just needed binding.

When Ejhin left the crypt and threw aside her lower footmen she couldn't resist to feel the pride. Following her were two mighty warlocks, awakened from their Grave to serve in the world of the living once again. Undead wizards thirsting for blood as she did and able to call the raging souls of the fallen back.

Here we are then. After sending her undead horsemen to scout for further victims Ejhin decided to have a liitle fun. And her it is::evilgrin:

Hope sou see the miserable lightning effects on their faces. Generally I'm quite happy because I thought I wouldn't be able to get anything nice out of them, but now they are acceptable next to Ejhin.

Next time you can either see the two ghosts Ejhin finds in an ancient castle or her Horsemen coming back from scouting. The first one getting three votes will be done. :p

12-04-2007, 09:35
horsemen horsemen horsemen... there, 3 votes :)

12-04-2007, 10:09
 mkay so be it!
But come on guys a few more criticisms and comments are necessary to keep me going...I mean I will keep going either way but perhaps not posting!:eyebrows:

Cheers anyways

12-04-2007, 15:08
Unfortuantly you will find that not many of the project logs get regular comments. Most of the time people come in and look at what you do and leave. Rather than getting loads of "Nice work, keep it up" posts.

Don't let it discourage you however, as long as people are viewing your thread it means they are interested.

I like the copper verdiris effect you have going on in your last 2 pictures. I do the same thing with my own undead's armour.

I however want to vote to see some ghosts, I like ghosts!

13-04-2007, 11:13
Thanks a lot spikedog for your comments and all the other ones that commented. You made my day.:D

So. The undead scavangers are beeing done and the two ghosts are on my working bench, too. But here I want to show you another wip of mine. It's Irix teh second incarnation. I painted her in a very wolfish theme and I'll try to stick with it with all my other wolfen. I've got twelve of those beasts and I love them, so expect to see them poke in and out from time to time.

Irix smelled them before seeing the rotten bodies enter the woods. The ill and deathly stench of the undead was something she couldn't stand. Nothing was as opposed to nature as corpses brought back to life.
Grabbing her holy weapon tighter she started her silent hunt. She could hear three horses. Smell three rotting corpses. They were riding westwards in an unnatural hurry, bits of flesh and bone falling from the terrible mounts and their riders. Seeing undead in such a hurry and so purposeful ment only one thing. They had been resurrected by a necromancer not too long ago and had been send out to a mission.
Deciding to follow her prey to their master, Irix retreated to the shadows and started to whisper an incantation. Perhaps she'd need help from her sisters. At the end of the day her blade would be soaked with the blood of the necromancer and her henchmen would be brought back underground, where they belonged!

What do you all think?
Should I paint some text on the paperscrolls enveloping her body?
The staff isn't finished yet but feel free to give me advice on the rest of the fig.

14-04-2007, 14:36
"Mishtrez...Mishtrez?" whispered the ghoul in a terrified voice.
"Mishtrez our zcouts. Dey retzurned. We saw them from de cliffs. In momantz dey will come mishtrez!"

Well here are the beginnings of the three horsemen (excellent sculpts). Plese give me some feedback. Shall I make the other three like this, too? Muscles? Skin? Bone?

14-04-2007, 14:49
Excellent. They had not come too early. Ejhin had discovered from a reliable source, namely the last words of a tortured mercenary, that she and her band had had caused a stir. The Duke of Meihn had assembled two battalions of soldiers who were supposed to hunt the undead down and kill them.
The menace would be coming her way from the north, but her troops would not be enough to fight and win against the imperial soldiers. A dozen puppets, her three ghouls and two warlocks. No she would need to gather more fighters.
Hoping that the scavengers were bringing good news from the south Ejhin send for one of the wizards. The lit, hollow eyes stared at her when she gave him the orders. He was supposed to find an old tower that was rumored to lie in the dark woods to the east. There he would find friends Ejhin needed in the upcoming battle. Nodding the being left Ejhin and started his way to the east.

Here one of the two ghosts who Ejhin send for. This is the smaller one of the two so expect the second one!

15-04-2007, 01:00
I love the remains of that horse, did you scupt it yourself? its a jolly good idea

15-04-2007, 11:30
Oh god how I wish I could sculpt like that! I would be sculpting day and night!
All those miniatures we simply miss. Tons and tons of civilians, animals and people in daily situations!:cries:

But I can't. Thats a Rackham horse. The best dead horse EVER.
Soon there will be his two friends, too. So come back to see later on!

16-04-2007, 01:46
and how big is the actual horse would it be big enough for a warhammer miniature to ride, or would it look like an undead pony :edit: its ok I actually found rackhams website and I'm having a good look at what they offer

17-04-2007, 17:43

So here are some more horse riding zombies for your enjoyment!:)

Please tell me what you think.
Come back for more undead goodness and a new army after that!

18-04-2007, 00:58
I love it!

These sculpts look so much cooler than what GW are doing at the moment. Your
paint scheme does them justice, especially the red to emphasis which bits are the innards. Keep going and well done

20-04-2007, 15:38
Some new stuff...expect me to be ready soon with my undead and I'll start putting up better fotos instead of the old ones!:(

I'll either start my ALTERNATIVE Woodeleves or an odd Bretonnian army.

23-04-2007, 19:59
A lot has happened in the last few days. My friend git a nasty shopping fit and bought a beastmen charot a giant and the Battle for Skull Pass. A lot to do for me! :(

But I'll stay strong. So atm I'm finishing the giant (great model!). Until the end of the week you'll get to see him and the finished undead cavalry. You'll even get to see a before after shot and the story around Ejhin will evolve. Expect a new Undead groupshot. And in further future some bretonnian knights, BfSP goblins, Beastmen charriot, finished empire army from Ehrengrad under Maximilian the first and a dwarf army (mixed dwarves).:o

23-04-2007, 20:12
Oh just a small update.

The Hobgoblins had seen her from their mountain caves. They had been send here by the filthy redbloods, clad in blue and yellow to spy on her. They had been paid well, for their reputation was known far beyond the borders of their home-country Huzoku.
Takeshi the Rat and his gang had taken their share of the money and they would give their buyers the needed information....for a little more money of course. It wasn't an undangerous task to follow their prey, especially since she didn't seem to have only one hunter. They had seen the howling Wolf four days ago in the dark forests of Dur-Hain, dwarf territory. She had seen them, too but was gone before they could react. Such a pretty head would have been nice for his kitchen at home, Takeshi thought. Oh well the Wolf seemed to have found some friends, for they had seen her with two other Vestals on the prior eve. Three heads were even better than one!
And the undead would make their share to fill Takeshis pockets...

25-04-2007, 07:40
Okay my fifth post in a row!:p
First of all I've got a question: How can I edit my thread title? please leave me a short message if you know how to do it!

So another collossal project:
He would suit her perfectly. Ejhin knew that it wouldn't be a problem to win him over to her cause, the only problem would be getting rid of those stenching Greenskins.
The undead warband had found the small Orc camp at dawn. Mybe a hundred greenskins had come together. Ejhin didn't know why but it was a miracle it had happened because it could be exactly the right deisturbance to get rid of her petty hunters. Her magical wards had identified three different groups approaching her from the West, North and the East. The human imperial soldiers, a small group of Hobgoblins, probably headhunters, and a big shadow she couldn't identify. The encampment was perfect and if the imperials didn't attack the orcs and fight Ejhin would rely on plan B....the Giant!

25-04-2007, 14:56
Ahh ye olde giant

I tried a new technique for me on my giant, I painted the flesh with oil paints starting with a burnt sienna and slowly adding more and more white to get a very natural looking skin tone. looks like your off to a good start with yours though.

25-04-2007, 21:42
I really like the colour scheme on the hobgoblins, very bright and cartoony to go with some very cartoony models. Really liking the story based nature of the thead, though a giants a bit out of left field!

26-04-2007, 17:59
First of all thanks for your comments. I appreciate that...and I need it to keep working. So come on guys tell me something, anything. Oh and I guess a giant is really a bnit out of place but.....Who cares, it's a great model!:p

So Some projects finished first of all The Huntresses:
Irix had rendevued with Laika in the Forest of blossoms a few hours ago. Seeing the wicked acts comitted to the victims strewn on the ground made them howl in sadness and anger. A village of minotaurs devasted and burned to the ground. Children and elders slain in their sleep. But at least she had not gotten their force. In the middle of the village the strange ward still glowed in a subtle light and cast unnatural shadows on the floor. The shaman must have led the dead souls safely to the Otherworld and out of reach of her necromantic sorcery.
Laika and Irix looked one last time at the corpses, fuelled their anger and started of in a wild hunt for their prey. Irix would cut off her head personally and destroy her soul once and for all. Ejhin would never again kill her beloved.

The finished Irix, please comment:

26-04-2007, 18:02
Laika (named after me dog:evilgrin: ):

Tomorrow you can expect some pics of the finished giant (yes finished!) and maybe some more undead.

26-04-2007, 21:13
Yeah I know 3 posts one after the other are pretty sad but I#ll just keep going!:p

So soon you'll see pics of the completed giant project and hopfully the scavengers in the weekend. But I've got tons of other minis finished and I would love to share so just pick one and the first one to select one will get it....the other figs will come to of course at some point!

So my "completed" Alternative Armies are:
- Rainforest Lizardmen (blue-Gw) with a mighty slann and indigenous warrior servants
- The holy imperial armies of Meihn
- Orcs and gobs and oger mercs
- or the wip Bretonnian army with as good as no gw mini

So cheers

26-04-2007, 21:26
love them to bits!

26-04-2007, 22:49
Have a look at the Brets as it's nice to see some alternatives to the GW models

27-04-2007, 11:57
"WHARAHA" the giant roared in the ice cold night!
The celebrations had started four hours ago and the monstre had been drinking seince then. Now the barrels the orcs had robbed were empty and he was angry. Panicking Goblins ran through the camo and tried as good as they could to get out of his way. Hiding in bushes, under wagons or on one of their bigger brothers they screeched for the life. Meanwhile the orcs were laughing and dancing around the gigantoc campfire they had litten. In all the confusion no one noticed the stealthy shadows drifting into the camp and making their way to the biggest greenskin, the Warboss.
the feast had burnt down as had the fire and most of the orcs were asleep allready, snoring and breathing hard. The Shadows started to shape in proper forms and then Ejhin and the two Warlocks stood in the middle of a big mass of dirrty green bodies. In front of them was the biggest. The warboss was lying on the ground, around him his twenty goblin servants. He hadn't even taken off his armour or weapons but the object they were looking for was visible all the same. Hidden under dense boarfur a small stone shed its red light. Ejhin snarled and bent over to reach for it. Soon she would be ready. Soon she would be strong. Soon she would be free...

The giant:

27-04-2007, 12:42
Love the giant, very well done. I really like the stubble and the red drunken nose!

Looking forward to seeing some Lizardmen in here as well. Always fancied doing an army of them myself.

As for the title, you can't change it so you need to PM a mod and get them to do it for you. Also your signature shouldn't really be longer than 7 lines including spaces. Just so you know. ;)

Anyway keep up with the nice work and don't let the lack of replies deter you from posting such wonderful minis.

28-04-2007, 10:10
NOOOOOO...sorry Nkicik, I'm really sorry but I just started renewing my brets...so I'm afraid no pictures there. Sorry :(

BUt well anyways I've got some pictures of our Lizardmen army. It is not completed yet, as there are still few individuals missing but all in all it's quite ready.

"My children our time has come. Ther ancients have givem us the power to rule this world a thousand years ago...and now the time has come to wake from our slumber and emerge from the steaming jungles. The warmbloods' cities will be destroyed. The warmbloods will be destroyed. Forever!"

So the army:

Some detail shots will follow so be patient my three regular posters. Thanksfor your comments and you, yeah you who are watching and not commenting, get a hang on...I'm doing this so you see somethin' so just tell me what you think!

Cheers a lot

28-04-2007, 14:14
Whoa! That's a huge Slan-Mage!

28-04-2007, 23:21
Whats with -6666?
I don't get it!

29-04-2007, 08:16
more pics of the slann please.

29-04-2007, 10:29
The tribal magic was useless against the elder powers that circulated in the veins of the Slann. Not one of the tibes that had tried to oppose him had managed to even hurt him or his army. The monstrous Magician had been right. Rebellion was senseless. The future belonged to the Cold ones and if the indigo tribes were to gain a place in that future, no matter how small and unimportant, then the time had come to secure it now.
Send out by the mighty Slann priests the Indigos had been used as scouts and warriors to fill up the already big ranks of Lizardmen fighters. Together with the Saurus warriors, Skink spotters, Skasik Spearmen and the mighty Lizards from Icoat the hord from the jungles would be unstoppable.

This is a scratch build Slann. I did it three years ago and I now see a lot of things I should have done different but oh well. The headress is an earring I found and the skink on his shoulder is of course a normal, converted skink. The slann is made out of clay.

The Saurus warriors. Not many but enough for our roleplaying games:

29-04-2007, 10:30
Normal Skinks:

Army general atm on cold one:

Skasik Spearmen:

29-04-2007, 10:30
Indigos (yeah nice name he?)

29-04-2007, 17:48
Just a nice size comparison. From left to right:
GW giant, Rackham wolfen, GW ogre, GW beastmen, Reaper nymph, Rackham goblin, GW gnoblar, Hasslefree girl

30-04-2007, 01:35
Great stuff, I love Jabba the Slaan! Very nice sculpt and full of character. The rest of the Lizardmen are nice as well. I like the bases they really set of the models.

Man that Hasselfree girl is tiny! I have a pack of the Reaper Nymphs awaiting painting as well as a load of other bits from them so it's cool to see someone else doing their models.

Once again top knotch work there Janos!

P.S, Thanks for the comment on my thread. :D

30-04-2007, 17:54
Oh I guess to get more comments you have to have a 40k thread...we Fantasy players are a sad folk!;)

Okay another ready army. The empire. 20 old spearmen and 20 musketeers. Everyone of them is converted slightly so that no one is exactly the same. Mostly headswaps and minor greenstuff work. I added a lot of purity seals and scropts. They are all very rank and file which me and my friend find great. I bought a box of new state troops and buil them to make swordmen. The will be the lite of this army. The army consists of:
-Duke Leopold of Meihn
-20 Spearmen
-20 Musketeers
-10 Swordmen
-2 Engineers/Sharpshooters (Conversions)
-4 priests (Ral Partha)
-1 cannon with crew (old toy painted and converted slightly)
-Musician and Flagbearer

The stench had gotten unbearable a few minutes ago. The Dukes mare was nervous and twitchy so the Duke decided to walk. His loyal battalions had marched sonce a few days and were tired. This damned Undead had fled from them and would soon pass the border to the Frontierkingdoms. Leopold could not follow them there if he didn't want to break the instable armistice.
But the Necromancer had caused enough damage already. Three imperial villages had been plundered and burned. If he estimated properly the horde would count about 200 corpses already. "The longer they run the more they become" Leopold thought anxiously. He wanted to kill the Necro and bring back her head to his father so that he could finally be proud of him. And he would do it. "If I let my men walk just one mile more per hour we will encounter them at sunset, and th-.....Holy Emperor!" Leopold had just arrived at the top of a hill and could see before him the most terrible and grotesque scene he had ever seen or imagined. The men that followed and stod behind him in shock. Some couldn't stand the view andgot sick.

Cannon and sharpshooters:

30-04-2007, 17:56

30-04-2007, 20:22
The lizardmen look really really good, I like all the conversions throughout. Jabba The Slaan's little skink, the skinkgors and the amazons are all very different and very cool. Nice work :D

Size comp is cool too, and hell, all of your stuff is very impressive. On the Empire, where's that cannon from?

- Salvage

01-05-2007, 17:06
Ejhin had been running since weeks now. After killing every single orc of the tribal camp she had tried awakening their bodies but the masses of corpses were overrwhelming. Her powers couldn't manage. A breakdown was inevitable. Her arcane powers had been increasing since months but this challenge had been to much.
Now she was fleeing desperately with the remnants of her undead force. A dozen puppets her ghouls and the scavengers were the only ones left. The Warlocks had grasped the oppertunity of her weakness and had fled back to their graves. She had not been able to keep her invoked Shadows. Now all the energy she had was used to move as fast as she could. Ejhin knew that if she passed the border the imperial battalions could not follow. In the borderkingdoms she had friends, mighty freinds that could help her but safety was still far away. Time was the only factor now.

Ejhins force before her breakdown. This will be all of the undead for a while. I'm am very satisfied with them and I hope you are, too. When the time is right more will follow.

The scavengers:

So thats it for the undead. Sometime you will see this:
- 2 undead centaurs (Rackham conversions)
- 3 Banshees (Rackham)
- 10 Zomies from all over the miniature world
- 2 skeletal leaders
- and many many ghosts

01-05-2007, 17:09
Oh and my friend bought the Battle for Skull pass box. I'm in ove with the gobbos and I think that with some conveting it was well worth the buy. So in far future expect an green hord and a dwarven army.

Here our very, very first game of warhammer. No big terrain (that building is self made- pics coming soon) because it would have been too hard for the first game!^^

And a better shot of the cannon for you. It's just a plastic toy I found in an old box:D

02-05-2007, 08:01
Any comments guys?

02-05-2007, 08:09
it seems that anything you put your brush to turns into heavy metal, this is fantastic work.

02-05-2007, 11:10
So here is the start of a new Project: The Battle for Skull pass- Goblins for now!

This is my colour scheme test Goblin. I think he looks quite nice with those muted colours. I plan on painting about half the gobbos with cold highlighted cloaks and the other half with warm highlighted. What do you think? The Mushrooms that sprout everywhere will be made glowing blue. Some Osl where it's necessary. The bosses and leaders or shamans will get some partially chequers, too.

And here is the troll. I think he looks fine for his money. The base isn't done yet abd the troll isn't completely finished, too.

Oh and I plan on convertzing every single goblin slightly so that no one looks exactly the same! :D

No comments on this pic:
NO minis from me for the next few days/weeks :eyebrows:

Well the critiques weren't coming anyways:rolleyes:

Jaybles, oh and thanks a lot Nanktank for your kind words! =D

How did you do that??

His Master's Voice

How did you do that??

Easy. You take a hammer and... I do something like that every two months or so.

I really like those Rackham Undead. When the time comes to wake them up I'll be looking forward to see a Cerberus (http://www.rackham-store.com/boutique_us/fiche_produit.cfm?type=486&ref=UKMVCR06&code_lg=lg_us&pag=1&num=3) or some Black Paladins (http://www.rackham-store.com/boutique_us/fiche_produit.cfm?type=415&ref=UKMVSP06&code_lg=lg_us&pag=1&num=3) and/or Zombies (http://www.rackham-store.com/boutique_us/fiche_produit.cfm?type=425&ref=FRMVRAG1&code_lg=lg_us&pag=1&num=3) added to the retinue.

As for the gobbo, I think he would benefit from some detailing on the robe like a check or triangle pattern. Though when you have a hundred gobbos to paint I can understand why you skip the extra detail:D

03-05-2007, 12:21
Hey thanks to you both...my hand is recovering...slowly!:cries:
But I'll keep on painting I guess. There needs to be more from stopping me from that.

I've got some Zombies, though not the new Rackham ones, they will be painted someday. A cerberus would be nice but I guess I'm getting out of the rackham phas...the models are awsome, the Background, too, but somehow it's loosing its grip on me...Oh well!

And that goblin is just a VERY normal one. The more important ones will have chequers on'em or other fancy designs, but not too much I mean they are gobs, come on what do you expect!

I've got 11 finished now. Pics following soon. The troll is finished, too.

03-05-2007, 16:50
I only just found this thread, you should ask a mod to move it to the fantasy forum. ;)

Your painting is very nice, and I like your conversions. Any pics of that Beastman Chariot?

03-05-2007, 17:56

Very cool rusted spear heads. I was really tired of those clean, "stright from the forge" gobbo weapons. Your's will probably be more dangerous because of the involved risk on infection rather than any serious injury. As it should be with gobbos

04-05-2007, 16:04
I'm finishing the bases on the last nine goblins of the unit. so twenty are done in about three hours, I guess thats okay. 40 to go!^^
Pictures tonight or tomorrow:D

05-05-2007, 09:03
So The Waagh assembles:
Sgakko the rednosed was feeling very ill today. He had walked for over a dozen miles in the last few days and his goblins were as tired as he was. But the worst was what they would expect when they arrived at their Destination. The Waaaaghboss Kossag the Blackeyed had orderes a few regiments from every goblin tribe in the surrounding and had threatened with doing things far worse than kill if the goblins refused. Always the same. The poor goblins had to do the dirty job for them orcs. Well if they didn't flee before! The Waaagh was assembling in the Darkforest valley to the north. Sgakko hoped the Forestgoblins were not coming. He didn't like those damned spiders, creeping all over the place and eating his goblins. Na, those foresters were a real pain.

"Ah the ogres excellent. Tell them they will get their supplies and their gold later on. They shall reside in the south next to the giants sleeping place. And don't let them get near to the beer barrels. If they are gone the giant will fall into a frenzy." Kossag said pleased. The troops were coming along well. Soon the army would be complete. a hundred night goblins and the troll were missing. But the time hadn't come yet. Soon.

05-05-2007, 12:42
Yeah its me again. I'm starting work on my spiderriders and I've got a few questions. Shall I paint the spiders in a venom sort of way you know with many acid colours and poisonous fangs and so on or shall I paint them in a tarantula sort of way. Brown, black gray?

I'm tending to option number two with very bright red eyes and the goblins on top in contrast to them wth colourful feathers and bodypaint.

So, opinions?

Oh and here's a converted spider for my riders. Minor conversions on every one btw.:D

05-05-2007, 15:53
I like your goblins so far, very subtle but nice. I would be tempted to stay subtle with the spiders. Nothing wrong with adding some colour to them but make it muted and dark so they blend with the rest of the army. I also like the conversion. It makes the spider look much more dynamic.

Also just out of interest, why are your Ogres on what look like 25mm bases?

His Master's Voice
05-05-2007, 16:17
Go with Tarantula patterns but, like Spikedog said, keep the colors dull and muted (listen to the man, he knows what he says). Will you be using orginal riders or Night Goblins?

05-05-2007, 17:36
Thanks to you two. Well to tell the truth I've already done 5 of the ten spiders. As soon as I had posted I started, couln't resist!:D

I'm going to use the forest goblins, but trust me they are going to be special, and yeah I'll keep themuted theme running.

My ogres are on small bases because of the rpg games they are used in. The gigantic bases they come with would fill the whole room in the game so...

Thanks again to both of you and the other regular ?commentators? keep the input coming.;)

05-05-2007, 19:44
So another update. I'm quick ha! :D Well the minis are a pleasure to paint although ten ae really many and I ruched them a little but thats okay. The first Spider theme. Brown shades, red eyes, bone mandibles.

The other five have also brown shades but rather yellow, red eyes and slimy black mandibles. Oh and black dots on their backs!

So cheers, I trust that you His Master's Voice and Spikedog will comment again!

05-05-2007, 21:18
That spider's nice! :D The goblins look great, but they look a little too dark to me. It might be the lighting, but regardless, everything is looking awesome so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing the other spiders. Nice work. ;)

06-05-2007, 02:09
I normally like to wait for at least 2 updates before I comment again so that there is a lot for me to talk about but seeing as how you asked so nicely. ;)

Spider is looking good, I like the scheme it looks very natural. Also the eyes are very well painted and really stand out. Good job now lets see the rest!

06-05-2007, 19:01
"Ah Barkuggl the Porcupine. Finally you have come and I hope you have brought with you your most venomous spiderz. They will be a worthy addition to our force!" Kossag said satisfied.
"Of course master. Only de best for you!" Barkuggl answered submissively. "But I wonder why you asked dem for help. De cave goblins are not worty to be your followers, dose stinking, cowardly, rednosed ..." he couldn't continue his talk as Kossag had taken his neck in a tight grip. Barkuggl's men tightened their grip on the spears and came a few inches forward but stopped when they saw their bigger brethren armed with mighty weapons approach. They did love their chief, but the love had limits.
"It's still me filzzy ratz to decide whom I call to arms. Yo undreztand?"

So here they are in all their glory. The spiderriders. And I must say I'm impressed by what you can do with the BfSP box. So how do you like them. The bonecoloured warpaint (no its not highlights:D )? The coloured feathers?
The tarantulas? At first I HATED the skullspiders and was thinking about cutting away the design but now I'm quite happy with them. I also converted them all to be a tad more dinamic. Especially the boss-spider.

So here is the unit. Like it or don't!

06-05-2007, 19:04
And the two ranks its made of.

Closeups of the chief:

06-05-2007, 19:06
The standart bearer:

And finally the rival Gargboss of the Cavegoblins (read nightgoblins):
His weapon isn't as dark in real life!

07-05-2007, 15:38
Other stuff I'm working on/finished.

A Cadwallon (rackham) civilian. She will be quite useful in our rpg's. Like her?

07-05-2007, 16:05
I like both the girl and the spider riders, good work!

07-05-2007, 19:00
GREAT spider riders - warpaint, color scheme, deathsheads and the whole lot! Very nice. The civilian gal is quite nice too ;)

- Salvage

07-05-2007, 19:00
Those orges look the business! Great conversions on the spider riders, how long does a normal conversion take you?

07-05-2007, 20:07
Well if I've got a nice sharp knife and some good glue the spiderconversion took about 2 minutes on each one. You basically cut the legs apart where they are connected and then reposition them by bending. Not too rough though. They could break!
If they do just glue them on. They will be perfectly okay!:D

09-05-2007, 14:07
Hey guys. I'm sorry to tell you there won't be any news for the next week or longer. Today during driving classes we were hit by afast car by behind. It was not my fault, which is a sort of relief and no one was really hurt. It's just a really stupid thing to have a car crash at the driving school. And its even the third I was in in the last year, one of which could have ended deadly!(the other two weren't during classes)

BUT nothing has happened, it's just that my neck hurts and my back so I'm not supposed to bend too much, which I do when painting. So excuse me and please tell me I'm not the only one with so much bad luck!

So cheers folks

11-05-2007, 15:03
You're the only one with bad luck. ;)

That's bad to hear, :( maybe you should visit a chiropractor, to check it out. I crashed a go-cart a year ago, and my chiropractor said that I could have had permanent effects if I hadn't come to him. :eyebrows:

11-05-2007, 15:54
Well the remaining question is if he said the truth or if he wanted to cause panic so that next time you come back and warn other people to do the same. Go to chiropractors! GO NOW! :D

I'm feeling quite fine now actually. Still got some aches but if tey aren't away til next week I guess I'll have to go. So cheers guys!

12-05-2007, 09:23
So. The horde is expanding.
"Massa, we bring you our bows and arrows and are honoured to be here and serve you. De goblins of the rednose tribe are at your command."

So here is the new unit. The bowmen, done in one week on and of working. I started them befor my accident and just had to finish them of so I decided I'd do that quickly.
So my friends orc army has now got the following units: (green=finished, yellow=old paintjob, red=not ready)

2 Orc warbosses (mounted and on foot)
1 Orc shaman
1 Goblin shaman
1Goblin warboss
16 Orc warriors
1 Orc charriot
20 nightgoblins with spears
20 nightgoblins with spears
20 nightgoblins with bows
1 troll
1 giant
and maybe soon 10 Black orcs:D

How do you like them? I won't have a lot left to do, just the charriot, spear goblins and the shaman so when I'm done with them I'll either start on the dwarfs (with a lot of conversion work, cause those BfSP dwarfs are really ugly) or my woodelves. They basically are one gladeguard box from GW and a lot of other companies minis as heroes and special allies.

13-05-2007, 10:20
So some new minis. Those are Rackham figures and are part of my Celtic army. They are basically barbarians (well they have got a slanneshy look) and the first part of the army. The second is about ten scantily clad fiannas (female barbarians). I've also got a leader, a musician and a standart bearer. But they have old paintjobs on so no pics of them!:D

Enjoy and COMMENT!

13-05-2007, 10:23
Can't say anything more than "good work!", as usual. ;)

13-05-2007, 10:57
Hey thanks a lot!
I must say I enjoy your beastmen, too! I like the yellow, abit more of shading would none the less make it even better. Your wood work is great too and I love your centigors. Well I basically love the models as such (they are really eypensive though) and your striped ones really make them unique and great.

thanks a lot again!

13-05-2007, 18:17
Oh, oh just those damn 20 nightgoblin spearmen to do! Only them and the rest will be a pleasure to paint but after forty of those guys I'm getting sick AND distracted...but I must not! Today I sat down and started painting the boars for the charriot and those goblin buggers were staring at me demanding a paintjob...

Help me stay focused come on. Only these 20 and then you will never ever (ever, ever felt so low;) ) have to comment again!:cries:

14-05-2007, 03:22
I really thought I commented here before, guess not...

Love your painting and all of your models, especially the Lizardmen. You've done everything in your varied assortment great justice, so I'll keep following this and looking forward to updates. Keep it up! :D

16-05-2007, 14:22
Oooo! Really cool idea with the red toned noses! Your painting style is great, good job!

16-05-2007, 18:31
Wow am I looking forward to the Fianna if these man-celts are so damn awesome!

Great stuff as usual, now bring on the ladies!

18-05-2007, 21:18
Some works of mine...please comment and tell me what I could change to make them better. They are wips so yeah keep that in mind!:D

19-05-2007, 02:40
Goblins are looking very good, I think they will be great as a whole army together.

Your WiPs are very good as well. I see you decided to stick with the original style of the giant for your own sculpt. So I guess you are making this one from the bits left over from another?

20-05-2007, 18:22
Thanks a lot spikedog. Yeah the giant isn't supposed to be too different from the other one (earlier in my blog). But He will be a mutated bady giant, with all sorts of stuff hanging from his body and tatoos and so forth. Expect a rather spectacular one!

So first of all my wonderful, thermodynamic doggy: (a she)

Second my Ork and goblins charriot. What shall I do about the banner? Show me some designs. I'm open to everything, cause I'm planning on giving our orks some background finally! So hit me with it!

Jaybles...btw check out my GUO

20-05-2007, 18:23

sorry for double post!

25-05-2007, 17:20
So, tommorrow morning I'll be gone..................for two weeks only! :D
I'll be spending my time at a nioce beach in greece and have a lot of fun, hopefully. But before I go I want to show you what I managed to do. It was my aim to finish the waagh until the holidays and it worked, sort of.
Nearly everything is done and I'm proud of them. The orcs are an old paintjob I'll touch up or renew when time is free.
Enjoy and feel free to comment. Also think about a nice banner symbol for them and maybe a nice name, the names me and my friend came up with weren't very original so throw them at me. Sorry I won't be able to answere next few days but yeah I'd love to see some comments on here when I come back!

Lets start of with a group shot of my goblins:

25-05-2007, 17:26
Then the whole Waagh in all its glory:

Now for a new project...our dwarfs. Our small army will consist of two units of warriors (2 x 15), a dwarf thain on foot and on a mammut, ten shooters, eight miners and one cannon. The most part of them being BfSP dwarfs.
Lets start of with the two warrior units. One of them is a normal regiment box with an old and stinking paintjob:

Then the thain (he definatly needs a remake...less bling bling and nicer paintjob):

The CONVERTED unit of BfSP dwarfs:

25-05-2007, 17:30
Some clos ups of converted unit members:

And the scratchbuilt dwarf thain...like it?
The mammut is a cheap plastic toy + some bits and a lot of greenstuff/plasticcard.

Sorry for the bad fotos, and excuse me now...I'm off to greece!

25-05-2007, 17:38
Love the goblins, they look really wonderful. Dig the source lighting on the shaman (right?) and those are the best checks I've seen this side of Rackham (and I mean that!) :D

The dwarfs are cute too, especially the big wooly. Have fun in Greece!

- Salvage

26-05-2007, 06:47
Oh ****, that scratch built Dwarf is epic! and the mammuth is amazing! I just read trough this thread and I must say, you are one good converter/painter. My favourites are the Slann magepriest and your amazing Undead. Please keep up the good work, when you return from Greece that is ;)

27-05-2007, 00:17
Been a while since Ive seen this blog, looking very good, I like the dirty look of the goblin skin, I am painting up these very same miniatures at the moment and I would like to do a similar scheme, but that would put them all at odds with the rest of my orcs.

27-05-2007, 02:22
Well dude the Goblin army looks fantastic altogether. They have a really dirty underground feeling to them. Outstanding!

The Dwarf Thane is also wicked, I love seeing cheap models and toys being turned into something of beauty. I look forward to seeing more of this army. If the goblins are anything to go by we have a treat in store!

13-06-2007, 18:01
Hey peoples!
How are you all doing? Everything alright?

Great! =D

I'm back, as I promised and I've brought a goodie: My second giant. The body is made of clay (a few pages back you'll see him) and there are lots of bits added. I just hope it's not to crowded. What do you guys think?

New pics following soon!

13-06-2007, 18:02
Oh and something to get jealous...

Cheers Jaybles

15-06-2007, 05:39
Good golly, that's a lot of nice models!!!

Great paint job! Great conversion! Great sculpting! Great stories! I love your blog janos!

Your Night Goblins just gorgeous!!! Their cloaks are very well done! Especially the Characters' with the little embellishments. I'm doing something similar with my BfSP Night Goblins, and its so great finding another take on the models!

If this were in the Fantasy Thread, I would have been an active poster here months ago! :p

There's gotta be more!!!

15-06-2007, 09:36
Great log. Nice to see so much work taken to completion.

I love the natural feel your night goblis have got.

Can you talk me through the rusty metal effects you have used on them.

Thanks in advance.

Oh and come and join in the Tale of four painters thread. (In this section of general logs).

20-09-2007, 20:56
Well hello there. I am back...
Well as good as!^^:)
The last few months have beenan up and down world for me and I'm sorrry I didn't post as much as I wanted and could. I had a lot of schollwork to do, the holidays were spent outside and healthissues in our family and espeially my doggie kept me from finishing my minis and this blog.

But if you like you are invited to come back in a 2 weeks time...when my camera who was stolen in a terrible act of madness by my dear brother is back and I'll be able to do some pics again. I have a aot of stuff to show, especially ma chaos giant and my great unclean one with a horde...well actually six sexy demonettes and a ot more so come back soon and thanks for posting

Cheers :chrome:

16-10-2007, 18:27
He y'all!
I am back with some new miniatures, pictures and storys. I do have a lot of news for you!:D
First of all sorry for the pics in an extra post, I actually wanted them with this text and was going to edit them but it doesn't seem to work...=(
Oh well!
These are some nice dmeons for our chaos army which consists of quite a lot already. We have got 10 chaos warriors (current sprue) already painted and with them a leader and a magician/standart bearer. The are painted since quite a while so I'm not going to put them on here, because they are definately *****. Then we have some Lords and stuff and now some new additions. So the army is fleshed out as follows:
painted not painted wip

6 demonettes
10 knights (normal warriors)
6 Lords
20 warriors (converted imperial fanatics)
Bloody Great Unclean One
Chaos Giant
Lower demons

So quite a bit actually. Furthermore I'm working on my woodelves which are also very special as every one of them is converted in a very subtle way. Who can guess how?^^

And now after the woodelves what shall I do:

1ONE1 The Chaos conversions
2TWO2 Black orcs
3THREE3 Tigerfolk

Vote and be happy!

16-10-2007, 18:41
I love the Daemonettes. Great pink colour!

16-10-2007, 19:51
I got to say that is probably my favorite Great Unclean One I've seen to date. I love the cartoony look mixed with its grotesque appearance, it's so Nurgle. The eyes, the teeth, the tongue, amazing work!

Paragon Belial
16-10-2007, 20:26
Hey Janos, I just went through the entire log. I have to say I loved it. I love the tone of color your work has,the goblins in particular. Great job. I hope to see more from you.

floyd pinkerton
16-10-2007, 20:38
that's gruesome!

but i like it:D

17-10-2007, 15:31
So another update for you all. This is my very own Chaos giant I scratchbuilt aut of clay and several giant bits. It definately is nice to know the giant box cost only half if you get this one out of the bits remaining. The body is made of clay and you can see some wip pictures further up in the thread if you all like.

Please leave some comments on this one as I'm very proud of the outcome and would like to hear some neutral critics by y'all. He is part of our Chaos army and a very nice centerpiece next to the fat demon (unclean one)

17-10-2007, 19:43
Nice new stuff! I especially like the daemonettes.
The giant looks nice. It's a bit rough down the back though. I also think that you could used the occasion to try to sculpt the legs to look more like goat/beastmen legs. The ones you have look a bit blocky. The torso is nice.

17-10-2007, 19:49
Great Giant!

17-10-2007, 20:02
Hey you guys, thanks a lot for your comments.
I definately regret not going even more crazy on the giant, e.g, more spikes comming out of skin and funkier legs, but keep in mind that the torso and the lags are made of clay, which is a lot harder to work with wor details as GS is.
But I agree that the legs are a bit static!:D

Cheers to all of you

PS: Soon some new pics for our Empire army will follow. An Ogre merc, some Swordfighters and 4 priests. so expect some goodies.;)

18-10-2007, 13:09
Ok another update. And guys, I know you can do better than this in commenting other peoples work. Perhaps I really should move this topic to the fantasy forum...

Oh well. Here are some new Imperial minis. They fit nicely with the rest of our imperial army, led by Emperor Maximilian III. (No mini for him though)

So lets start of with my Imperial Ogre: Beautiful Mini by Rackham. He is painted as an Ogre merc with imperial colours making up his garments.

18-10-2007, 13:13
And some new Imperial Swordfighters. They are the elite unit of our army and contain an army general (the one with the long sword). I do like these sculpts and painted in the same colours they fit in wonderfully with the old spearmen!

And finally our priests! They are the healers and "magicians" of our army and are okay sculpts by RalPartha and Grenadier I suppose.

Cheers folks

21-10-2007, 11:03
Hey ho guys

I realised that it doesn't make sense to stay here with ma log tha problem is I've got no idea how to contact a mod to move it to the fantasy forum. I hope I'll get somne more feedback there.:)

Here are some new pics of a campaign my friend and I are playing. The name of the campaign is "The war of the Seven Gems". It starts off with the prologue in which I am a spy and cleric that is send to Lustria (just the name not really GW'S Lustria) with a battalion of imperial troopers to protect a bishop of the church on a missionary mission. The bishop has been told to have some contacts with chaotic sects and so my character is supposed to make sure everything goes fine in the jungles.

The jungle gaming board:

So then we are ambushed by Lizardmen that want to protect their Homeland and the first fight starts. We win (tada^^) and the bishop leads us to a temple where more guards have to be fought. We enter the temple and go deeper underground until we arrive in the halls of heaven where a miniature world rotates on altar. Here more guards protect the anciaent artifact but before they even manage to scratch the bishop who is leading the way now, they are burned alife by chaotic magic. It is now that I realise what he is planning...open the gates to hell! :D
So I try to fight him although it is clear I can't win. The bishop catapults me in to the air in small "video" and lying on the floor I see what happens next. out of the aether of hell demonettes apppear and make a deathly dance around the imperial soldiers. They are lulled into death and the bishop pronounces the words of power and brings the Chaos back on earth!

The temple:

Hundreds of years later I play another short character: A descendant of the bishop. I am a student at an imperial university and after aveing an enlightening dream one night about the deeds of my ancestor I decide to visit the secret part of the library. Of course there are guards patrolling the corridors at night so that the students don't make too much nonsense. So this mission is a stealth mission and was a lot of fun!

Another timejump. 50 years later th descendant of the evil bishop returns to the hall of heavens to repeat what his father did with a battalion of imperial soldiers and 7 mercenarys. While plundering the hall and stealing precious diamonds from the altar in secret the mercenaries don't notice the purtrid smell around them. Suddenly the bones of the imperial battalion that died here thousands of years ago rise again and a fight starts. I play the chief of the imperial battalion and am the only one apart of the seven mercenarys to flee. The bishops son dies.

A year later I arrive to the emperors court and report what happened. Now the real campaign starts. Each of the 7 mercenaries has one of the seven gems of mioght. If they fall into the hands of chaos the world will end. So a war begins with between the forces of evil and good, who will get hold of the seven gems first?

21-10-2007, 11:20
Could we have some more angles on the jungle gaming board? It looks pretty good!

21-10-2007, 11:34
yeah sure. These board aren't fixed so after each session we have to "destroy" them. But I madce some more pics. I'm sure you noticed that I photoshopped that pic. The background is a picture of a jungle!:D
Come back for more pics soon!

21-10-2007, 14:15

OK, now I'm mad....I just went through the whole thread and it's fantastic! I truly believe that many people are missing this one because it's posted in the general forum (where there are mostly 40K logs...)

Oh, now that the rant is over: great job, I like the details of your miniatures, especially the empire and goblin ones..
Keep this thread up and running, janos!

Good crap! that took a while to thoroughly read trough! so much niceness and greatness!

I really love the feel of your models! Specially the goblins and undead. Got the Same rackham skelletons for my Mordheim battles, but seeing those dead horses of your's I feel another visit to the store is mandatory :)
The more I read, the more I feel like driving off to germany and join in on these rpg's of yours! :D

Keep up the good and inspiring work!

So another gaming nicht is over and the story of the seven gems develops.

So last night we had another chapter which deals with the first gem:The Amethyst. The mercenary who got hold of this gem was a brettonian noble from the kingdom of Julemont. He returned from Lustria with an exotic fever and died on the arms of his son. His sonPierre de Julemont has to take over his fathers land and people and decides to escort an enchantress of the Lady of the Lake to the Capital of Bretonnia. On their journey the pass a fishermen village and find the poulation brutally murdered.
The do not know it is an ambush by a mercenary group hired by the chaos to get the amethyst hanging around puerres neck. The goal of this mission was to save pierre and get him from the gaming board.
The evil gang was led by a brutal barbarian and a Lustrin Necromancer. And here is the village:

I do manage to flee and the scene changes. An imperial Cohort led by the Venrable Ambrosius is on its was to the Julemont castle to get the Amethyst and protect it. On their way they are ambushed by the same mercenary group that tried to steal the gem. Ma friend wa quite tricky in this scenario. At frist he told me I was gonna be the mercenary group and that I should build a trap. So I did. Holes in the ground and a Stoneavalange were the stars of the plan. But then the story got a twist and he told me I was actually going to be playing the imperials. So....Here thy are. The drummer was actually the first to fall and die!^^

So then I do eventually flee with three of the men and Ambrosius. We meet up with the wounded Pierre and manage to retreat in his castle. What we don't know is that this castle is occupied by a nother mercenary group send by the chaos. So we have fight our way out again and flee to the only imperial city in Bretonnia. We manage eventually and secure the amethyst.
One Gem down for the good'uns. Six to go!

I hit the report button and told the mods you wanted it moved. They moved it like lightning.

I'm still following your log. :)

31-10-2007, 23:31
wow thanks a lot mrtn!
Finally the log is were it belongs. I hope you guys over here appreciate it as much or even more as the guys in the general project logs did. ;)

So let a new era begin!:D

01-11-2007, 10:18

Just stumbled across your blog.

Love it.

Love the way you go with your own background and aren't held back by GW.

Your painting and ideas are inspiring.

I have a holiday today so I am going to finish sticking together my Dogs of War Legion.

Have one unit completed -- Satyrs -- half beastmen- half man. Civilised enough to live with human society and highly valued as warriors.

Next three units are mercenary foot knights, barbarians and a mixed race unit of sell-swords.

These guys are supported by mounted dwarfs and ogres and Satyr crewed cannon. They fight with Empire detachment tactics.

So, off I go. Keep posting!

I was wondering how on earth had I managed to miss this log, but now I know.

Awesome stuff. I love how you've done those Rackham minis in a GW army style - they fit much better alongside GW minis that way. And the meat cleaver on the Great Unclean One.:D

01-11-2007, 16:20
looks like nice stuff here, i my favourite models are the undead necromancer, the skellies with scythes and spears, and the goblin banners.i like the idea of a gamming board set inside a temple(might do something similar.)

The thing i cant get over is how much the slaan mage preist looks like jabba da hut! anyone else see this?

03-11-2007, 16:27
these armies all have a beautiful, gothic feel to them, quite unlike most GW stuff. Kudos!

04-11-2007, 03:16
Just read through the whole thing.

I am inspired. Your creativity puts a whole new spin on miniatures that may have been lacking flair. You create backstories, backgrounds, and new conversions for these familiar faces. I love the unique armies you're creating and the twists that you're giving the old ones.

My favorites... thus far, I love your 2nd giant. I also love the converted boar chariots. They look much more fierce than their original counterparts.

Keep up the great work!

04-11-2007, 04:57
Dude, you are so creative with your hobby man. Seriously, the custom sculpted Jabba the Slan, small-handed Nurgle demon (my favourite) and the custom body for the giant ... zomg bro. You've got my thumbs up and respects.

04-11-2007, 18:57

A small terrain update before I post my Woodelves, who are certainly going to be a surprise!:D

These are some modular house fassades which are glued on flat pieces of wood. The bits and pices on them are made of clay by myself and my friend david. Enjoy!

05-11-2007, 21:38
Hi there guys!
So I did rusha bit my core troops of the woodelves army. Here hey are. 17 wood elf archers with command group. They are as I said my core troops and did not get as much attention as the rest will get. I did though convert them. Can you see how???

Lets start of with a small story:
Ashan had started the hunt at dawn. The prey he and his fellows were hunting had left the Narrow woods a few hours ago and had entered deeper into the magical realm of Loredain.
Evil had eneterd the forest before but the spirits of nature had never asked the elves for help as thorough as now. Drems of steel and fire had awakened the elven slumber and forshadwoed the near future of the forest if they did not react.
The council of elders had sent 3 partys of hunters into the wild to track down the intruders and stop them from fullfilling their quest. For Loredain was not only a home for the woodelves it was also a prison. A prison built aeons ago before the giant trees had seen their first summer. And the prisoner captured behind the wooden bars was so unbeliveably terrible that he had become a legend.A myth. A dream.
But his followers had returned, and with them the memories of long lost storys.

Command group with Ashan. See the conversions?

05-11-2007, 21:40
And the hunters:

05-11-2007, 21:41

Comments and criticism are very welcome!^^

06-11-2007, 17:35
So after the core units what shall i do?
Shall I continue with the woodelves?

Here is a small list of stuff I've still got pending so choose wisely:

1ONE1: Black orcs (10)
2TWO2: Centaurs (3)
3THREE3: Wild Beastmen (3)
4FOUR4: Woodelf Heroes (3)
5FIVE5: Major ally of woodelves

First one to get three votes or more will be done! =D

06-11-2007, 17:44
I'd like to see some heroes to support the woodelves

Ezekiel Celes
07-11-2007, 07:52
Centaurs! we need Centaurs!

07-11-2007, 09:55
I second Centaurs!

07-11-2007, 15:35
oh well you guys.
I have actually finished one woodelf hero already...actually its rather a queen.
She isn't as martial as the other army fughters but hey, she is the queen and not supposed to fight! =)
Next I'll do the centaurs. Here are the pics of the unpainted models from the reaper website

I know what you are thinking...:wtf:...that they look a bit ugly at first sight but I do like them. At the moment they are not as nicely painted as my current standarts so I'll repaint them and another conbverted centaur. The question is what colour to give them.
I wanted to either give them all natural browns and grys or blacks but then I thought I could paint the lady with the staff as a champion and mybe a white horse and her with very pale skin and very, very blond hair?

Ideas, comments?

07-11-2007, 16:49
Those are some cool Centaur models! I think your idea for the lady is a good one, I'd say go for it!

08-11-2007, 19:03
Sorry adam at college for not having any fotos of my ready hero...but just look at the centaur and regard her as a hero too, because she surely is one.
I wanted to portray purity here and as you can see she is a complete wip.:eyebrows:

Please please please give me comments cause I can change her now not later. I know that the green leaves have to be toned down a bit and the fur and staff are not ready yet. I do also have to go over the fur again as it got dirty while painting the rest. What colour shall I do the fur? Brown or grey or maybe white, too?

Come on give it to me!

08-11-2007, 19:09
Sorry for the double post but I forgot to put the pics in and somehow I am never allowed to edit ma post...:(

Oh well...Here they are:

08-11-2007, 19:41
I like it. Something looks kinda weird with her eyes, though, like they're hollow. I don't know what to do about it, but she looks like a zombie or something, just in the face. The horse body, though, is very nice.

08-11-2007, 19:53

Forgot to mention that her eyes aren't ready either!

10-11-2007, 10:24
This is some amazing work you've done here, all your models look very good. Looking forward to seeing the finished wood elves.

11-11-2007, 21:03
Hey guys!
Sorry for the lacking updates but I left my cam at a friends place and couldn't do pics. The Centaur lady is as good as finished and just needs basing. I am furthermore working on 10 black orcs and other stuff but I MUST NOT SUCCUMB too much. I'd really like to finish the woodelves first.

Oh and here I've got a pic that might interest you. Remember I asked if you could name the conversion on the woodelves...well here it is. No one guessed?
I rather like the elves to be tall and lets be honest. The GW woodelves are very disproportionate: gigantic heads for the bodies and so forth, so I converted them all. I know its not the best but good enough for gaming =D

Cheers folks and check in soon for more and more minis!:D

16-11-2007, 11:59
Hi ther guys? Whats's up?

Well I've got a lot of news for you. I actually have done some work in the last week and am quite proud to present it to you now! =D

First of all the finished (-base) centaur maiden I started a week ago:
I am quite satisfied with her, especially the staff, fur and hair. But I don't like her face and eyes, thats why you can't see it! =P

Second a scratch built Treeman. He is in his first stage of construction and inspired by a treeman on CMON, I can't find anymore! =/
he is very big and made of clay (about ten times bigger than a woodelf). I'm going to do a lot with him in the next few days so check back to see more soon....Can you guess what the holes are going to be for?

I hope you recognise where his face is supposed to be?=P

For more see the next post...

16-11-2007, 12:11
So the second part...

Here is the latest memebr of the Waaargh. He is actuall ythe biggest Boss possible. My freind built him and as you see didn't dare not to overdo it. At first I was really about to throwing it down the table and at least leave the GIGANTIC banner pole of but then I thought twice and painted it up and now I actually like him. I think the trick was to paint him in a subduead colortheme, like this the detail of the bits remain but he doesn't seem to "overbitsed"!
His nine followers are being painted in the same theme at the mo...

And a small sneak peak of the chaos flagellants:

So bye for now and see you on sunday on my next update...
COmments appreciated

16-11-2007, 15:33
That Treeman looks great! Really menacing and powerful. I suppose that the holes in the back will be filled with branches and foliage?

You also really brought that Centaur maiden to life. I didn't like the unpainted version of the mini and your paintjob certainly changed my mind. It looks very fey.

Damn that Warboss is a monster. What size base is he on? Also, any chance of getting a closer pic of the banner, the design looks interesting? I'm certainly not having difficulty imagining the Boyz following that beast :)

17-11-2007, 07:23
Hey and thanks a lot!

He is actually on a wolfensized base from COnfrontation which is comparable to the Ogre bases of GW. His boyz are on normal bases though (25mm)!:D

Th design is taken from the warcraft 2 design book and belongs to the blackrock clan. I liked it a lot and we needed a banner design so I just took the main design and added some orcish runes!=)

Happy saturday!
Jonnie out.

PS: thanks for the nice comment and yes you are right. Branches and foliage! =D

18-11-2007, 15:29
Oh it is so sad when I'm the only one commenting...;)

Oh well, I guess and hope you guys at least enjoy the blog. Here is my treeman before painting of which I am very VERY proud of. I really like him and the quite natural theme. He will be painted in a very natural theme to with a lot of loss and other smaller plants but without leaves on teh branches (that would be blasphemy....Madness!)

I guess I'll start a new thread for him to get some feedback...and yeah I AM quite pissed.......But the show must go on and I'll just keep posting for you!

Next update Tuesday

18-11-2007, 18:11
beautiful, i love the eye like knot on the face

23-11-2007, 17:13
Looking forward to those chaos flaggelants. ;)

27-11-2007, 10:37
your painting skills amaze me, and your scratchbuilds are awesome. I really like the treeman, he actually looks like he'd blend into a forest quite nicely!

again great work, don't stop just from lack of comments!

2 December:

Daramegh rode down the stony path. The first leaves of autumn had already covered the white marble way that led from the woods. The trees around her started to thin out and the sun broke through the now uneven canopy. She had been alone so far but now she noticed the presence of others, other beings, not animal, not human. The elves had always been a lonely folk who rarely accepted strangers in their part of the wood, and especially on their holy clearing in middle of Alatrel.
Suddenly Elathriel emerged form the forest and found herself confronted with two immobile, lean elves. They stood in her way without being threateing but in a very dominant manner. The maiden knew that diplomacy was the crucial factor in her task. If the elves refuted the treaty the alliance would brake and the eternal woods would loose their magical protection. The faerie magic would only hold if the descendants of Titania, the faeries, of Raghulos, the centaurs, and of Merelvin and Lorathel, the elves, teamed up with the followers of Wolerolf the Werewolf. And it was Daramegh's task to convince the elven folk... which would certainly not be easy.

happy day!

03-12-2007, 15:45
3 December:

Daramegh had been gone for far too long already. Centaurs were never late if something as important as their task was threatened. Bralogh knew something had gone wrong but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Yesterday the stars had been taciturn. "When the first leaves fall to the uneven ground, a new reign will commence!" They had said. Finally the alliance the elders had thought and send for a reunion of the forestfolk. But what if the reign that starts in fall was the reign of death, chaos, winter?
Bralogh couldn't wait any longer. Praying to the stars to guide his way he intruded the holy woods of the children of Merelvin and Lorathel.

04-12-2007, 17:01
4 December:

Enjoy my little critters that are great for roleplaying games!:D

04-12-2007, 19:07
Nice, I like the small ones.

05-12-2007, 15:30
5 December:

The music was nauseatingly beautiful. Kossag the Blackeyed had never in his life heard such a melodious tune, such a peacful symphony, such a hermonious sound yet the gaian music was cracking his sensitive ears and orcish skull.
The orks had entered Alatrel at dusk and had been walking in circles since then. Somehow the forest seemed to walk with them. The orcish hordes had respect for the forest but were determined to find The Elf and gain vengeance for what he had done, yet the misty wood was making their hatred and fury ebb down. The few goblins that had followed the Waaagh boss were positivley frightened and kept as near as possible to their bigger brethren.
Little did they know that the music they were following was luring them into a trap none of them would survive!

05-12-2007, 20:41
Most impressive ... I look forward to seeing more Lizardman conversions.
If you cant tell from my sig I'm working on a Lizardman army. :D

06-12-2007, 16:00
6 December::p

Aria awakened at dusk. Voices from the bank had found their way to the nymph's ears. She hadn't had visitors at her river since two centuries. The elves had left her in peace and the fairies were always quiet when bringing her food. The voices she heard also had a very different sound to them. They were neither humaniod or elvish.
A dark shadow rose from the riverbed and made its way to the bank. Chasing through the algae and the small fish Aria felt the rage of the water grow around her. The intruders had malign feelings towards her gaian mother and they would be punished for entering the woods.

06-12-2007, 18:18
Nice, keep up the good work. Ill be following with interest.

06-12-2007, 20:45
Nice.. ummm Shells? :D LOL

06-12-2007, 21:56
Yeah right shells!
Thanks for the comments guys and see you tommorrow:)

07-12-2007, 13:06
7 December:

"When Titania and Astoria enchanted these woods they also enchanted the creatures living in them and laid their protecting wing over them. We are the descendents of the fairy Queen and her King. We will protect you from harm. Let a new age begin. An age of reckoning. The age of Gaia, our Godmother!"

Have fun!

08-12-2007, 09:16
8 December:

Wolerolfs children had arrived a few hours ago. The scene they encountered made them howl. Atop of four orcish spears the heads of four maidens of the moon were stuck on. Their bloody trail had infested the gaian earth and the eyes were shadowy.
These maidens were as holy for the wolves as the moon itself. The maidens of the moon were the only ones in the Fae caste to accept the werewolves and somet8imes they even past time with them in lonely wnter nights. Only a dozen of them were still alive as they had been created by gaia long ago without the possibilty of descendants. The werewolves rallied and howled at the full moon primising to hunt the orcs and kill them all and asking their goddess to grant them the gift of frenzy.

08-12-2007, 11:36
Now thats cool :). He looks like hes about to jump someone.

08-12-2007, 13:17
Nice Werewolf! It´s awesome:)

11-12-2007, 02:37

11 December:

A nice update for you all guys! Enjoy December and leave me a comment if you pass by.
These are the nine remaining black orcs with their uberboss. They are painted in the same style and with many chequer decos. Don't ask me why the snow is reddish. I have painted over it with white THOUSAND of times and it doesn't come off.

A Bummer!

11-12-2007, 15:31
Really nice black orc, but how can a black orc be nice? And who wants to play chess?

11-12-2007, 18:51

11-12-2007, 19:34
Those are really cool orcs, but one little question, can you rank them, coz then dont look like it ;p, very nice paint job tough

11-12-2007, 20:56
Awesome orks,
Love the checked drum.

Ezekiel Celes
12-12-2007, 08:46
Great looking orcs I especially love the drum! looks reaaaaaly sweet! you did all this just yesterday?
keep up the good work!

12-12-2007, 13:55
I just found your blog and must say I can see your painting progress. You definately look like you are improveing and I love all your undead stuff. I'm not overly fond of the ghouls in comparison to the other minis but their paint job may be my favorite in the whole lot of minis.

12-12-2007, 14:32
12 December:

Wow thanks a lot to you guys!
I finished the orks yesterday but had been doing them since a week perhaps. I am a quick painter but thats just too quick!:p
Thanks a lot again, I see you like Orcs!

And here some new stuff fpr the woodelves. He is one of three smaller Treemen and is maybe twice as big as the elves!

PS: HiveTrygon I LOVE L O V E your green stuff work and am very happy to see you commenting here! Thanks a lot. I really enjoyed your Dirz stuff and the rest is just gorgeous!

12-12-2007, 15:53
Well, credit is due, your painting is great. I can't believe how fantastic the skin tones are, and so smooth. When I paint things seem to look chalky. I use real cheap craft store paint most of the time but it is probably me anyway.

12-12-2007, 16:39
the treemen both look amazing

13-12-2007, 15:48
13 December:

So thanks again guys for your comments. I really appreciate them and I try to get back to you all!^^

Here is another treeman. He is as big as the one from the 12 of december and a lot smaller than the white one I posted a while back. I really like them all and they didn't cost a penny, so yeah, they are great for theit cost!
By the way sorry for the HORRIBLE pics. I didn't realise how bad they were. Some new ones soon enough!

Have fun!

13-12-2007, 16:04
wow, the two smaller treemen look amazing!

14-12-2007, 14:35
14 December:

And the last of the three treemen. Their big brother following on christmas!

Some old paintjobs. Sorry but the weekend wasn't very relaxing, and I didn't really have time for painting!

17-12-2007, 06:15
Nice orcs :)

18 December:

Boy, sorry this one is old again. Tomorrow my moms workshop will be free again and I'll be able to roam! =D

18-12-2007, 21:24
I love all of it!

But please, do continue with the narrative, it gives extra depth to the models!
I like what you're doing, i wish I had similar models back in my role-playing days (usually goblins were represented by dice or by rough sketches...)

Keep up the good work, Janos, and don't get disheartened by the lack of comments, I for one check your thread every day. ;)

19-12-2007, 18:37
19 December:

Hey thanks a lot! I am very happy to announce you gave me my 200th comment. YAY...so there are people out there comming back for me =D....and the vampire pics but I mean hey, everybody loves warseer for the roumors section and the creative corner!:D

SO some more. I wrote my last exam today (englisch translation of some short story) and I'll have holidays soon so expect some rush of models soon! =D

Some rackham Cynwall elves we used for high elves, but they aren't stereotype enough for our roleplaying games so they sadly sad on the shelf for far too long. I wonder what I'll do with them...

19-12-2007, 19:24
Those are just plain magnificent!! really they rock janos.

I really like the high elf look a likes with the swords, their armor really looks good with the blue robes, really good job on those.

19-12-2007, 20:10
Woah outstanding.

20-12-2007, 20:17
Very cool and vibrant colors.

21-12-2007, 12:06
20 & 21 December

Sorry guys, had to go to a funeral yesterday and some guests were over from poland, so I couldn't get to the compi. I hope you'll excuse my missing post but I'lll try to make up for it.

Group shot:

22-12-2007, 21:30
Of course you should go to the funeral, we can wait however long it takes. :)

Those Cynwall elves look nice, though you're right that they don't look very "high". Have you thought about using them as dark elves?

23-12-2007, 08:17
22 & 23 December

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the kinds words (thanks mrtn=). The funeral was very nice and peaceful. Here in Germany it was about -10 degrees (very cold) but the sun was shining beautuifully and the grave was in a acementery that is surrounded and part of some very nice woods so the sun was breaking through the many trees and it was very nice.

Here some new Minis, a whole bucketful for your christmas pleasure. Actually I only finished the Medusa this weekend, so sorry to the guys that are waiting for the boar. He is definatley coming together!

The desert was its home, its holy sanctuary and its greatest protection form the outer world. In middle of the great dunes lay the city of Hadeel, the capital of the golden califat and not only the biggest and richest city of the southern continents but also the most populated, dirtiest and noisiest. In this behemoth a dozen races lived in unison and tried to overcome the daily problems of a city so big. The city was governed by the great Sultan Nasreddin ibn Seth, a southern elf. He was the first non-human to become Sultan and had been forced to use very brutal methods to gain control over the great sultanate of Rasulla.
Opposed to the Sultan and his gigantic palace were the rich merchant families. The five heads of houses came together in meetings every full moon to decide what interests they shared and how they could force their governor to fulfill their wishes.
The third instance of Hadeel was the church of Akram, the only god. Represented by holy incarnations of his seven sides the only god had as big an influance on the city as the sultan himself. He had to be crowned by Akram yet in secret the subtle elf had been planning on destroying the one and only god. A plan that was supported by the rich families and many smaller sects in Hadeel. Of course the seven demigods and their legons will try to prevent the sultans plans but the the start and the outcome of this groundshattering war lies in the misty future were the fog of time is so dense that not even Arias seers, the biggest and most famous Prophet of the known world, can see anything.

23-12-2007, 08:22
Some more for ya'll

Demons that we use as lower minions of chaos. Those sculpts are very vintage but great nonetheless.

cheers and come back tomorrow for the biggest self sculpted treeman EVER!

23-12-2007, 14:17
Big treeman huuu. Can not wait to see him.

24-12-2007, 08:22
24 December

Merry Christmas!
Have a very nice time, eat a lot, take as many presents as you can and just have fun with your family and friends!

And here my finished treeman. I hope you like him =)

Have a nice year with lots of nice minis, paints but most of all happiness.
I really wish you a very very good start of this new year, cause it'll certainly rock. I am afraid my log will find its ending throughout 2008 as I'll finish school and minis are losing the flair they had a few years back for me. I still enjoy painting and certainly won't stop updating once in while just for fun and the sake of it! :)

I am really sorry that this hobby won't get as much affection as it should next year, but nearly all my creative ideas and hours of freetime will be put in making me a über portfolio for an academy of art (hope I'll get out of Germany to london or at the least England!)

And tomorrow please come back, because my small farewell will come with a mighty big bang. I'll just say....bad ones with many arrows as a symbol....blonde !girls! with bows....and maybe some stunties

SO see you tommorow and now I'm off to PARTY!
ENJOY 2008!

Hey there...I'm back! =D

The Hordes of Chaos
Rising from the pits of Hehl itself, the city of the damned, the infernal pitlords have started to rally their forces in order to lauch the biggest attack on mankind and its virtues yet.
Recruiting their henchmen with mental and physical warfare, their numbers grow rapidly. Demonic Virtuosos join these armies every day and the pitlords gain more and more power, not only in the underworld. The Hordes of Chaos are the enemies of all creation and they have come to end the reign of justice and order.

The Orcish Packs
Leaving the mountains of Ice to the north of the Empire, the greenskins have started to roll over the country like a giant tsunami, taking the goods and often lives of those that are unfortunate enough to get in their way. After passing the Bretonnian Baronies the orcs and their brethren, the goblins, have arrived in the Empire and errected their first encampments. Their plans are unknown yet the evil eye of chaos has started to flirt with the brutish Green Ones.

The Children of Gaja
Emerging from their holy woods for the first time in centurys, the Woodelves and their allies, the fays, beast- and treemen, have started to rally their few troops in order to gain control of the forests of the olden world. Gajas reign is nearing and it is their task to defend the birthplace of their mother from the corruption of mankind and their foes. The Children of Gaja believe that when the war between the forces of Light and Darkness have ended, the world will start anew and be reborn from the ashes of the past, and that they are going to be the inhabitants of this new world.

Whew Nice Armies. :)

The Pride of the Woods
Sharing the wish of harmony, the pride of the woods are very close to the children of gaja...yet they do not see themselves as the offspring of mother earth. They had been banished from her womb when she saw their ugly faces and bodies so they swore to leave their mother behind and start anew, in the Highlands of the Empire. Living in nomdaic settlements in the ancient woods of Ruderthal, the number of actual beastmen is very small. Yet they are the only ones who have been known to be able to call upon the mightiest beings of the known world, of which only a handful exists today: The Wolven.
When the clanchiefs of the Goatmen finally manage to decide on an Everking, their force will have to be reconned with in the upcoming war, that will change th countenance of earth itself.

The Host of Tupac-Hualpa
Emerging from the steamy jungles of the new world, the lizardmen and their Taraque slaves have started to attack the colonies of the Empire and its ally, in this dense, green hell: The Highkings.
The clustered pyramids of the blue threat have started to come to a new life since the ritual of life, in which Taraque shamans called upon the aid of the ancients to protect their lands from the white invaders, in exchange for their souls.
Now thousands of new lizardmen emerge from the warm breeding pools and make their way to the new battlefields of earth to destroy the petty invaders and start a new rule of the Ancients.

The Imperial Legions
The empire is the stronghold of mankind in these dark hours. The Orcish threat from the north, the reptilian threat in the south and infernal threats from the deepest chasms and Hehl, directly beneath the country of the Empire, let people search help and strangth in the faith for god. The Almighty and his earthly followers feed upon the blind faith and have started to get corrupted by power and money, the very means of chaotic influence. Only few brave Lords and the Emperor Maximilian himself still stand between freedom for humanity and the destruction of the oldest and strongest empire in the known world.

Like them?....More to come.

Chaotic greetings from germany!

Our chaos militia is a very special project for us. They are going to be the core units of aur chaos ALTERNATIVE ARMY.
The scheme was to create a mixed up llook of many different humans forced to serve the dark pantheon with brutal means and making them insane. Most of the guys here are blinded (for real) and follow the dark gods without hesitation, even killing their beloved ones.

The Big boss of our chaos militia. I was undecided to paint the fames in blue tones but then thought chais was just too chaos to not have gore and flames all over. They still are unique though, don't you think?

The Heavy Hitters. I built the second one and am extremly proud of him. The other one is as great, especially his blind hand searching for his next victim.

The normal Infantry. They are all very nice models, anmd we had a lot of fun combining different sprues as you see. With the colour scheme I tried to pull it all together a bit.

Ewwwwwwuuuuu.... Yuk.
You definitely have the gore down.

Big update. I hope you like them and I hope the big pics don't detract. I just wanted to show them with all their flaws, which in this unit isn't as bad as in, say, an imperial one.

Have fun looking at them and bye!
