It feels kind of strange doing this right after, Portent's "death" for lack of a better term. Is there anyone out there who would like to start a Warmaster tactics thread?

Ah warmaster...

Thats the one game i'm still considering playing. I guess there's nobody around london who plays?

I loved warmaster, it was at one point my favorite game but no one around here plays so my chaos are just sitting gathering dust. It would be nice to get into the game again.

I am. Warmaster is my favourite GW game. I have quite limited time to get to play games so I don't have that many under my belt yet (less than 10) so honing tactics sound like a good idea.

I've got an orc army in various states of completion, I just lack someone to play against. Hell, I have two rulebooks, I'll give the other one away if I can get a regular opponant. Of course, I've never actually played a game of warmaster against a 'real' player.

Playing with yourself gets tedious after a while...

I built up quite a reasonable force of Undead, but after playing a climactic game against a similarly sized High Elf army, my interest waned. One of the nicest GW games around though; straightforward rules and loads of troops is a winner!

I think I suffer from the "various armies in various states of completion". I am currently building HE, DE, Chaos Khorne Mortals and Tzeentch Mortals; all under 1K. It's sad that no one plays WM in NYC. It's really one of GW's best products.

i am building my 3rd (dwarves) after undead and kislev

my new format will be a 2.5k force with max for 2k and min for 3
a 1k core
a 0.5k defense detachment
a 0.5k offense detachment
a 0.5k reserve
my friend and i have decided to play at 2k and roll to see who will be defender and who will be attacker depending on scenario. reserve arrives as reserved.

would The Battle of 5 Armies fit in here as well as its the same rules?, also, i wonder how the BO5A stuff would match up agains the Warmaster stuff in a game?

I had the rulebook (it's back in NZ unfortunately), but it's always a game I wanted to give a good try with!

Warmaster is a fantastic game. I've given away two rulebooks and some blisters in hopes of sparking an interest in my area. Alas, none has been sparked.

I've got two painted armies and three more that need to be completed. Perhaps someday. Any Warmaster gamers in Eastern Washington?

@MVA You can always download the rulebook from the Specialist games WM website as well as many of the WM from Fanatic magazine.

@Thread in general - Do separate WM tables exist at Games Day in whatever part of the world you are?

I've only once ever played in a Warmaster Torunement at a Grand Tournement and great fun it was. They used the same tables that the Warhammer games were going to run on. The WM tournement was on Friday night (along with BFG and Blood Bowl). Saddly this was three years ago and has not ever occured again.

I play in the sheffield area of the UK.
I have 3k of Empire, High Elf, Dark Elf and tomb kings painted.
I then have 3k of dwarves, skaven unpainted and I am looking to but a 3k lizardmen force as well as piecing to gether 1k of each of the mortal/daemon chaos forces for each of the four powers 8k in total.
Only fought a few games 2 with undead in which I got slaughtered and a few more with the HE which was more productive.
Currently in the process of drawing up house rules for the skaven works of engineering I have built.

any Warmaster players here living in Holland perhaps?

I've got a 1500 points dark elf, empire and dogs of war army, and I'm working on a 2000 points orc army, already have the models, working on the visual aspect of 'em ;)
