As ive read Double eagle far to much, ive been thinking about rules for the chaos Hell Razor. so far i have this

Chaos hell razors

Pts : 20
Thrust : 2
Top speed : 7
Min speed : 2
Man : high
Hits : 2
Trans : 0

Quad autocannons 4 - 6 - 0 dam4+ Ammo 4

Weapon options +4pts
Shrieker missiles 2 - 2 - 2 Dam 3+ Ammo 2
Bombs 4 - 0 - 0 Dam 2+ Ammo 1

I see them as a squashed Hell Talon's, that is as wide as it is long.

I see the the Hell Razor as a slightly bulkier Hell Blade.
I do not think it should have the option of Bombs (especially nearly on par with the Hell Talon).
I think there is the option of giving it Lascannons - making it as capable as a Thunderbolt in terms of Fire Power. Making it a proper fighter, while the Talon is the Fighter-Bomber.

I am really of the opinion that the Hell Talon should have bombs standard.

i think you are right. I wanted to make it on par with the Thunderbolt, as in the books it was the main opponent, but its a bit more of a fighter bomber with its current loadout. I find the Hell Talon doesnt have the A2A capabilities to make it a viable fighter (hence why its a bomber). Maybe the addition of the Lascannons would be correct, but they are never mentioned in the book. Maybe more autocannons upping it to 5-7-0 or even 6 - 8 - 0.

I think bombs should be at
2 - 0 - 0 ammo 1

I agree with you on the Hell Talons having bombs as standard.

How about 6-9-0 based off the Autocannons off of the Marauder Destroyer?

I can see the 2-0-0 2+ ammo 1 grnd atk, xtr dmg 5+ - same as the Ork Fighta. Points would take some playtesting.

Those shrieker missiles are pretty hardcore... 2-2-2? No blindspots? only 4 points?

6-9-0 thats a huge group of autos, the whole nose of a 4 engend bommer is required i think it's mabe a tad over doing it. the book realy didn't go into mush detail of the razers weapons configuration, i agree there was no mention of lascannons why not give them a version of the sky strikes, 0-1-2 3+ 6+extra? i agre with luke that 2-2-2 is alittle extream.

True the 6-9-0 is a bit much... how about just a cluster of Autocannons 5-7-0 that way they are not quiet as capable.

Got a different idea for the missiles - make it an air burst frag - long range, more dice at long range, lower on the possible damage end, but possibly lots!
