Have anyone had any succes with them?
Does the 12" move have a great impact at the fight?
Do they die to easy to be used properly?
Achievements with them?

And also a rules question:
If I have a gang with 12 members and want to add a dog.
Does my income drop by one level when I add it (for a total of 13 models)?

I've never used them, but I would say they counted for income, since they do need food.

Dogs are followers in the Scavvy lists, where they are attracted on a battle-by-battle basis. They wander away after each battle (if they survive). Thus, they do not need feeding.

Cyber-mastiffs are robotic dogs used by the Enforcers, and they do not need feeding at all.

I would suggest that the Scavvy Dog rules are more appropriate generally, especially as they apply to living animals.

Dogs have a good charge range, and their vital stats for CC are pretty reasonable. Unfortunately, against better equipped or more experienced gangers, they will not be a great threat (except in packs).
I would think they are especially effective at scragging enemies who are "down" from being shot. This goes double as Dogs don't earn XP and scragging foe who are down grants no XP.

Oh, I think you've missunderstod me ^^ (Maybe I explained it abit clumsy).
I mean the dogs from the article about alowing gangs to take dogs as a part of their retinue ("Stay! There's a good boy").

I'm wondering the same thing. Haven't managed to purchase one yet. They seem quite expensive, so I would hope they're reasonably effective. As for food, I'm inclined to think that they'd eat table scraps and such, and as "gear" wouldn't add to your actual gang count.

I say take one and ******* the consequences :) If it dies buy another one, if it keeps living feed it. If it does nothing in game then you've got one characteristic mascot :)

I use a Holy Rottweiler in my Redemptionist force - his name's Barrington (naturally).
He's been pretty handy so far, to be honest, mostly for keeping opposing gangers on their toes, acting as a useful distraction, stopping gangers getting too close to my gangers, etc.
The food rules are in the article - the dog and their handler forage together and earn D6 credits - or in my case, they twang the heart-strings of the faithful with their weekly collection plate!

Oh, I think you've missunderstod meHeh, reading that now, I can see that I did! Sorry, I think it was my fault for not realising

I have just got one and his stats are looking good. 2W and Str4. i think that combined with the 12" charge and the ability to keep his handler from being captured makes it worth the cost.

Erm, can I have a link to the rules, as I haven't seen them and I've just been on the Specialist Games site. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough...

It IS a bit dicey to find. Rather than being in the experimental rules section, it's actually in with the Fanatic Online back issues.

Starting at the Specialist Games home page, look at the right side of the page at the little blurb about Fanatic Magazine online. In that blurb, there's an itty bitty link to backissues. Click on that link and the dogs article is about a quarter of the way down from the top. "Stay, there's a good boy." is the title of the specific article.

There are a whole lot of very good articles on the Fanatic back issues page, which is why I'm directing you there rather than just posting a link to the article.
