Well, since my interest in Fantasy has recently kicked up into high gear; I've been thinking I might just get into Mordheim as well, since it requires a lot less investment and I can go nuts on the minis.

I did some looking through the rules (though I've quite a bit to look at to gain some real understanding) but I'm wondering, how do the Possessed fair? I'm very much looking to tie my Mordheim band to the Chaos army I'll be working on; so they seem a natural fit; but I'd like some opinions and ideas from the folks here.

Tying your warband into WHFB sounds like a great idea, rotating between the two games is one way that I keep the hobby fresh for myself. The possessed are considered on the less powerful side of things, but I wouldn't let that stop you from playing the group you will have the most fun with. Mutations allow for fun conversions, and the possessed models themselves can really become quite powerful. If your playgroup allows for the blessings of the dark gods table in the optional rules, I can really see the possessed as being a really fun warband to level up.

Fun is definitely the goal <^_^> I did some more looking last night, and I definitely think that's what I'm going to do. Basically make it a small detachment of specialists led by my lord's lesser apprentice. (Lord it Tzeentchian so it works out double well! Good reason to hunt Wyrdstone too!)

I'll have to check out those optional rules. I'll probably start my Mordheim band after I get my Chaos army rolling so I know my play group. (I'm just getting into the hobby as a whole, so I'm not entirely sure where I'm gaming yet; but I shall find a place!)

Thought you would like to know that my buddy just started Possessed last night (his bitz order came in!), and he proceeded to rout one of the stores best player in his first game of Mordheim! It looks like fear will be your best friend, along with the plethora of abilities lent to you by mutations - giant claw, tentacle, and scorpion tail were last nights MVP's.

Excellent <o_o> I'm still working up my initial warband list; but its cool to know it can work both on a fun and competitive level hehe <^-^> I do believe I shall enjoy this!

>.> Soon... I shall conquer Mordheim, then the WORLD! ... or not <,<
