How can I change the information in my profile?

It is your responsibility to keep the information in your profile up-to-date. You should especially ensure that your email address is kept current. You can alter any of the fields in your profile, except your username. Once you have registered your username, it becomes yours for life. In extreme circumstances, you may request that the administrator change your username, but he or she will require a very good reason to do so.

What is the signature for?

After you have registered, you may set your signature. This is a piece of text that you would like to be inserted at the end of all your posts, a little like having headed note paper.

Please note signatures may not contain any images or pictures.

You may turn the signature on and off on posts you have already made by editing the post and altering the state of the 'Show Signature' option.

To edit your signature you need to click on the Settings link . From there you need to navigate to the signature editor by clicking the Edit Signature link.

Please keep signatures to a maximum of seven lines of text, including blank ones, using vB font size 2. Please do not include images or pictures or attempt to create images using text symbols in the area set aside for signatures, it is for text only. Any attempt to create a signature as part of a post will not allowed and will be removed. Please do not include links to websites from which you gain personal benefit such as referrals. Please do not post links which are misleading or are deceptive.

How does my Rank & Postcount work?

This is the current postcount-rank relationship model we are using.
0 - Scout 10 - Marine 25 - Brother Sergeant 75 - Veteran Sergeant 150 - Chaplain 300 - Librarian 500 - Commander 1000 - Chapter Master

Note that not all of the subforums will count your posts. Posting in these non-counting forums will obviously not increase your postcount.

The non-counting subforums are:

  • Computers & Consoles
  • Role Playing
  • Groups and Factions
  • Non-English Language Threads
  • Arena of Death

How do I add a custom status to my profile?

Custom status titles are not enabled for normal users. For now Custom Ranks are restricted to Guilders (see "Subscriptions" section of the FAQ for details), mods and admins. Please note that the following terms are not allowed as a user's Custom Rank:
  • Administrator
  • Banned
  • Herald of WarSeer
  • Inquisitor
  • Suspended
  • WarSeer Scribe
All these ranks are used for special usergroups only.

How do I get a picture under my username?

These small images are called Avatars. They are displayed below your username on all posts that you make.

To use an avatar, you'll need to click on the Settings link at the top of the forum. There you choose the Edit Avatar option on the left.
Please note that Avatars have to follow basic guidelines when it comes to the picture you are planning to use. In general, the avatar has to follow the Forum Rules and needs to fulfil the PG13, 'Family Friendly' criteria. Just use a bit of common sense when choosing a picture.
