Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Yo! Ive been a fan of the Diablo series since I got a hold of the Demo for the original Playstation. Still occasionally play it to this day. Anyone else here play? Maybe we could arrange an Uber Tristram run?
Ive got one particulary hard Barbarian on Non-Ladder Soft Core, a Necromancer (summoner) and a Sorcercess in the making on Ladder Soft Core.
And I play on Europe.
Anyone else a fan? :)
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Hell yes! Diablo is one of the games I keep crawling back to every few months/years. I've played most types of characters, usually sticking with Sorceresses, Barbarians, Paladins, and Druids. The Assassin is about the only character I don't really care for, though the sorceress and elemental druids are probably my favorite style to play.
I haven't played in months, and have lost all of my characters by now....for the 5th time or so. I play on US East.
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Good old LoD, would of went back to it bout 2 month back, but my mate have lost their disks :(
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
I play occasionally (on Europe) but I've been offline long enough to lose all my characters by now. I prefer Paladins and Sorceresseses, for being simple to use.
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Paladins and Sorcs are cheap.
Blizzard / Charge + Smite.
Cheap like the budgie.
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
I played it alot before the new update showed up.
I quit playing it becouse my Ladder charachters turned into Non ladder charachters.
Still logging in every 2 weeks though. dont want my full tall to be deleted

Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
I was actually thinking of getting Diablo 2 + LoD. :p I've downloaded the demo where you get to play as a Barbarian, and that was fairly fun. Druids and Necromancer seem a bit more interesting, though.
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
You should. The online community is still massive.
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
I'm still thinking whether or not to come back to LoD on-line..........at my time of leaving is when duping, map hack and cowards who PK'd people for the hell of it were rife
if it's still like that I'm staying away
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
now and then I get an Diablo urge and play nonstop for a month or 2.
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
such a good game. I should start again. but right now with school at the max I dont think the uber-addictive style of Diablo would help me in any ways :D
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Since I last posted in this thread, I've actually gotten Diablo 2 + LoD. It was a little while since I played last, but I have a Elemental/Summoning Druid who's in the later twenties. I'm stuck in Act 2, though... Stupid end-of-level boss.
So I've been running around willy-nilly, Fissure-irising those goat demons like mad. Occasionally something nice drops. I think I have maxed out the amount of gold I'm allowed to have in that level range... I have a lowbie Barbarian that I'm not sure what to do with. Swords or polearms? Decisions, decisions, decisions. :p
I should play it for a bit tomorrow, I think.
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
What is this Lord of Destruction that you speak of?
I have Diablo II... is it the online version?
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Lord of Destruction is the expansion, where you have to run after Baal (Diablo's brother) on his way to the top of Mount Arreat and the Worldstone.
I'm actually currently on a D2 spree. Started all over again, and I now have a lvl 50 summoning druid who's pretty much maxed all the summoning he wants and is now at a loss for where to spend his next skill points. Lycanthropy? maxing spirit of barbs? Go elemental? I just don't know.
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
i used to play online but after the hundreth person asking me to rush them to diablos lair, it got old quick
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
You know I've had this game for like 5 years and I'm just now gonna finish it with an Amazon with cold arrows :) I don't have the add on.. is it worth having?
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Does Blizzard still have its redicuolus PVP stance in diablo. IE its fine, even if you abuse bugs to kill people in hardcore?
That really pissed me off as you might expect.
Re: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Man! Diablo! :p Should play it once again one of these days... My favs are/were the barbarian and the sorceress... Pure ownage that game :D

Swords all the way for a babarian, and get rune word steel in a soceted falcon. Nasty at low level and probably one of the easier to beat Duriel classes.
