Some Dwarf characters are going to die.
Gav Thorpe said as much in a thread somewhere. Something along the lines of him being partly glad he's not writing certain end times books because it would be hard to end some of the (Dwarf) characters involved.
It's when I read things like this that makes me seriously question this whole End Times campaign.
I know this is second hand source, but if Thorpe really did say this, it makes me kinda sad. Some of the dwarf characters make Warhammer for me. Without them, things won't be as fun.
But having said that, with the recent planet-changing shake-up of the Elves, it would be weird if something similar didn't happen to the dwarf kingdoms. I suspect massive earthquakes, undermining by mutants/ skaven, etc; will destroy most of the major dwarf holds, forcing them out into the open.
I've got a feeling both Thorgrim Grudgebearer and Ungrimm Ironfist are both going to be killed off when their turn comes around, I do find it quite sad as others have already said on this thread advancing the storyline is good (wrapping up the King Kazador story was nice) but the End Times is jumping ahead and killing off everything which gave Fantasy it's own world setting with each race clearly individualised, with everything that's been happening through the End Times I'm wondering how much of the world will be left that players will recognise as the same setting?
I did see a part on the rumour list on the BOLS site saying that the End Times might not be mentioned in the rulebook, not sure how reliable they are for rumours though?
