...As I neglected the first one and didn't stick to it (because i'm weak-willed) *ahem*. My aim for this is simple. To plough through much of the stuff i've got so buying more stuff won't be as bad (he he)

Without further ado, I introduce the particpants:
RED is bad, not really a priority. But I would like to get them done.
AMBER is so-so. I've a good force for gaming with but they've been unpainted for too long.
GREEN is a good status, the level I would like to get all of the armies up to.
Space Wolves: about 85% done, i'll tackle these first
Khador: only about 1/2 the stuff painted
Cult of Slaanesh Dark Elves: about 70% done.
Nurgle Daemons: Basecoated. These may have to wait until the new book next year.
Necrons: 99.9999% done. They're not really part of this (yet) but the squads paint up so quick they can be done as an "in between" thing)
Legion of Everblight: Basecoated. Stuff still in boxes.....
Dark Eldar Haemonculi Cult: Urien Rakarth painted, Grotesque conversions basecoated.

There's more, but we'll do them later. One step at a time.....

Whoah. 76 views and no replies. I'm not that boring am I?

Some progress has been made on the Terminators. I know the paint looks a little thick on the Cruxs, but they're repaints.... and they look a good gaming standard in the army as a whole IMO.


Now to jazz the thread up a bit I give you the Brass Scorpion conversion (made to look suspiciously like Plaguelord Baldaric's version) I won't be painting this for a while. But if you egg me on enough I can get round to painting it.

Some very cool stuff here, I espicially like your Wolf Lord and your Khador, even though I don't know what the Khador is!

I would suggest maybe adding a couple of highlights on some of the wolves armour, it looks a tad flat.

@Tonberry: Nope, it's just 2 Defilers. Pretty much the whole thing is made from the 2 kits

The Terminators are now done.


and i'm moving onto the next stage of the army (as it's being converted to an Apocalypse force) This is how it stands ATM.


Naturally i've decided to go full circle and re-do my first ever army (the originals are lost in the mists of time though) as allies.

Here's one Sergeant Centurius to kick off my LOTD allied contingent.


The flames are not as bright IRL, the flash on my digicam brought them up like that, just like it dulls the highlights on my Space Wolves......

As for the Khador. They've been put on hold for a bit as Nurgle Daemons will take their place no thanks to a good friend of mine who got my playing WHFB again so the Warhammer bug is rooted firmly in place and won't budge till i've painted an army.

It was part of a stillborn Iron Hands army, but got converted (more) and migrated into my SW army. The head is made from a GW keyring, which I found out completley by accident that they're made from the same substance as their metal figs.

Also, here's a Vindicare Assassin Kill Team for Apocalypse.


They're made from some old Syntha (I think) models from Void, Cadian Lasguns and CSM smoke launchers as the scopes. Two scopes on each weapon, they've got to shoot better now surely!

*BTW i've noticed the splodge of paint on one of the Vindicare's legs. It'll get corrected in a bit.

They're meant to look like that. Getting trapped in the Warp does not exactly do good things to your complexion.

Speaking of LOTD, here's a start on the Terminator (do you get the impression I like Terminators?) and Command squads. They are both VERY WIP, the flames need sharpening up quite drastically for starters but it give you an idea of how they're painted.




Also, here's a sneaky peeky for the Daemonic Legion i'll hopefully get started on next week(ey).

Update time!

Here's a shot of the whole Apocalypse-sized SW force and also an indication of what is left to paint



I know what you're thinking. They need more tanks! As after looking at that pic that is what I thinking. I'm incredibly heavy on the infantry front, but I think I need a little more armour.... Though having said that a converted Knight Castellan is absent from the pic as it's in the window of GW Lincoln (heh).



WIP on a Librarian made from the old Tiggerius (hoo hoo hoo hoo, yes I know mispelt it) He should be finshed by tomorrow.



Completed Command Squad. Did a little freehand on the banner, the skull is based on an Aztec idol of Mictlantecuhtli, whose "sunken-cheeked and horribly grimacing, keeps watch over the cold, famine ravaged relam of the dead." Sounded perfect for LOTD!



Lastly a WIP Tactical Squad, complete with a conversion of a Vet Sgt. that I "borrowed" from CMON.
