Wow, these are amazing models, nice use of gnoblars. The conversions and concepts are too awesome, very very good job!
I've never looked at the Blood Bowl line before, so I don't know what you've converted and what's original, but it is all fantastic. Great colors and very cool looking.
Hat tutorial please!
This is fantastic. Whenever I complain about White Dwarf it's because they never feature stuff like this. Amazingly creative!
Yep this is some awesome stuff here...but
The bases? are they finished yet?
Please tell me you going to do them all cobblestone like the captain
I dont know if its a rule thing (i expect it is) but do the robo-gobos have to be on a small base? would look better if they fitted onto their base
Everything else is fantastic though.
Thanks for the comments so far!
The bases... I'm undecided what bases I will use for my 40k Orks yet, so I just will leave these plain black until then. I doubt it'll be cobblestone, it's much more likely they'll get these as they fit the theme and it's possible that I'll make a ship-deck gaming board if encouraged enough!
And the steam trolls would look a lot better on bigger bases, but unfortunately we have only 1 board with spaces big enough. On other boards the grid is 1"x1", and with 40mm bases it's hard to stand any more models in contact with them.
The hats:
1) Add a ball of GS to the models's head. Smoothen it up to make an egg-head model - this is to provide support for the central bit of the hat.
2) Make a ball of GS the size of pea, flatten it on some moist smooth surface into a thin disc, then cut it off with a long blade (retractable knife is best).
3) add a drop of Superglue to the top of egg-head (or dry the GS thoroughly - I found superglue works much faster) and put the disc with the middle over it
4) then just flatten the disc with your fingers to match the eggy bit
5) bend the edges of the disc upwards on a plan of a triangle
6) Push the middles of the sides to get stuck to the middle of the hat
7) work on the edges a bit to give them used and worn look
8) add 2 "rivets" with an automatic pen on each hat facing
9) flatten each from up and down, and press over and below the space connecting them to form a "pin" holding each facing up.
voila!

I never though I'd say this about warhammer, but they are adorable. I want one as a pet!
The steam trolls remind me of some of the crazy goblin robots in Dungeon Siege.
Nice work on the whole team Hortwerth.
I have uploaded some WIP pics so you can see what they're made of.
Jason is just a club-hugging gnoblar with Goblin head and the club cut off and replaced with Gorkamorka Ork Choppa:
The two last players (who advanced from being cheerleaders as I got the money) are made from plastic Snotling from old Night Goblins box with the head replaced with Gnoblar's, and the squids sculpted:
Lobba is just a walking Gnoblar bent into more upright pose, with club replaced with stikk-bomb. The fez is a slice of some arm.
Kung pao uses Goblin Wolf Rider legs cut and repositioned:

Lucky Blind is a result of a crazy brainstorming session:
Kaptin Friggrot uses a Gorkamorka Yoof as a base, with goblin head and the rest sculpted:
Here's he's throwing threats with some steam behind them:
