i've just joined and i don't know what's happened in the past so I won't ask i'll just introduce myself. I've just started roleplay and I have group at my house every 2 weeks we've just finished our first story which involved a magic shield and a dwarf trying to get it's hands on it i'd love to do some roleplay on here if thats o.k or is it not allowed

A problem that I have is that I can't post regularly and from what I remember there are people who can post non stop. I understand this and there s probably nothing to be done about ... still kind sucks though.

And it sucks just as much for a character to be forgotten or ignored, for any reason.
But again i understand why it happens.

I know the feeling, I hold no bitterness to those who can maintain a decent post rate in themselves, but it does blow to be ignored and pushed into the background because it seems some of those of the high rate-of-post seem unwilling to approach your character most of the time for fear waiting for you to respond might slow down their post rate or something. :cries:

At this point, it's more people who selectively wait or ignore, based on how they get along with the player rather than how the characters ought to interact.

Um, most of the RPGs where I wasnt an Inquisitor Lord i faded into the background, its hard to keep up when i go to work and school then come back and thers roughly 5-8 more pages of 2-3 people just posting.

even when I was an IA i generally was just a Gm controlled character most of the time. Probably another reason it would be hard for me to run a RPG, I don't think I am consistent enough to post for the warseer rpg crowd, and thats a compliment lol

Everyone is welcome in the Forum. There are no distinctions of veterans or new blood, we are all roleplayers who enjoy to roleplay. Characters get fun and interesting and people use this forum as a release from the day to day Grunge of Reality lol.

Looking back on the posts, this was moving in the direction of being Tactica: Roleplaying. So, Shamfrit, Slazton, Ravener, would you three be interested in the project? I've done things like that for two years now.

Great Heavens it would be a task worth undertaking to be honest. I would also hope that Luthor's Shadow would also lend a hand. He had a different style. Hate Train is another GM that I would recomend in adding to this undertaking.

See my proposal would be this:

Sections devoted to:
-Characters
--Equipment, Choices
--Background
--General Template for Character Description

-GMing
--Different Styles
--Tips for control of Players

-Plot
--How to adapt
--Flexibitly
--Player(s) input

Something along those lines. I am sure there is more, but this is what I came up with.

Well lots of us oldguard are still around but just don't post anymore. I'm at university now so I don't really have the time. I think a section of different sorts of players would be important: controlling a munchkin is a completely different job from controlling a loonie, but both are equally hard work.
