Blocking Dice - Proxies?

Hi There,

I have the old versions fo Blood Bowl, and about ten teams! AS I can download the new rulebook for nothing, legally, all I'm short of is the blocking dice!

As they are six sided dice, Could I just use the symbol table numbered up to represent the various results? I think this would work, but as there are only 5 symbols, which is duplicated? And what number should go to each symbol?

Or is there somewhere I can buy just the blocking dice? I've checked ebay, but there's none there, and GW don't sell them separately.

As for the dice themselves, you could easily make a chart.

1. Attacker Down
2. Both Down
3. Push Back
4. Push Back
5. Defender Down (unless you have Dodge)
6. Defender Down

Scour Ebay for original or buy a Blood Bowl box set. Until very recently, you could buy the dice individually direct from GW. No longer though...

Just to point out, you CANNOT buy dice from the NAF. You get dice as a gift when you take up a memebership.

I've ordered them from GW mail order before - try there, with the changes recently they may not do that anymore, but its worth a try..

If it helps, the product code for the block dice was 99359999016. Worth a phone call to GW Mail Order if nothing more than to confirm they don't have them anymore...

I really tried ordering them a few days ago. The cost of dice is up from .60 USD to whatever you might find them on E-bay for. (Sucks.)

I took blank dice and drew the blocking symbols on them, was pretty sweet and was only 45 cents

I joined the NAF for a year. GW had not had them for years in Germany and ebay prices for blocking dice were ridiculous, so I joined for 10$ (at that time about 7€, which was half of what you paid on ebay) and got a set of 3 dice.

I too joined NAF a while back, and got three green Block-dice I'll use with my Orcs.
I recently rejoined too. Can't wait to see what colour dice they'll send this time...

I hope not green with red symbols again. My regular opponent is colourblind which makes using these dice a bit of a nuisance.

I just bought some white enamel paint, thinned it down and filled in the grooves...

New NAF dice are released at the BB GT, so if you've renewed recently, you can expect (very nice) orange with black ink dice.

while waiting for my NAF set, i made a set out of d6 "blanks" with sharpie symbols. works fine as a stand in. beats paying for a box set with an out of date rulebook and crappy minis.

dice come in slightly roundsed and have some weight to them, i busted out the sharpie for a quick draw job and got me 3 custom blocking dice, along with my custom templates and scratchbuilt team, and printed out rulebook, ive full alleviated the need to buy the box set.
