    Drop Pod - Pics...

    Well,

    think it deserves its own thread, rather than being lost in the midst of another thread.

    By showing this, i do expect the first born child of everyone who views it....

    its not much to ask really...

    i'll stop padding for time though i guess, enjoy.

    I don't like that they put red on the trim of the missle launcher, it makes it look like a toy. Other than that, a very nice model!

    I dunno, to me the whole thing just looks like a G.I.Joe-esque toy, with guns and other 'cool' bits tacked onto the sort of structural design that is just totally impractical in real life.

    Then again, I suppose that's more a result of the drop pod design in general than this specific model.

    Sir, I ask you a question;
    Did you just compare Warhammer 40k to real life?

    Agreed!

    To make it even funnier, try doing it while referring to yourself in the third person too...

    I agree.

    I've always thought 40k as a fun game and not a practical simulation of war at all. The cool looking and unrealisticness of it all is what makes it more fun.

    *Finally*, Space Marines will be played as the elite strike forces they are, instead of marching gun lines.

    As for the bling, well, that's one more use for the icons on my Dark Angels sprues. :skull:

    I've always seen drop pods as coffins falling from the sky. They look like sarcophogi, the better to instill fear in the enemies of the Astartes.
