A Warlord Titan is Re-born!

Stompy and me go back a long long way, I originally built him early 90's when I was a mere scratch-building hatch ling. He was later dragged out of the garden shed and rushed into service for the launch of Apocalypse. I finally got him back to the Titan Planetary workshops (OK, my spare room) to do him a little more justice

I will probably end up totally re-painting him after all the detail work is finished but I will cross that bridge when I come to it

Just finished pimping over the main weapons, the new Gatling blaster and Volcano cannon. As you can see from the Titan crew stood on the Gantry, they are whoppers!

Also pictured them next to 'Mjolnir' the New FW Reaver Titan, even he doesn't look so impressive when he is stood next to the mega Gatling cannon!

On another positive I am managing to make a little space and clear most of the crap lying around in my various bits boxes by slapping everything I can find onto the re-fit

I knew saving those pot noodle tubs was a good idea

Those guns, when compared to FW's reaver, look big enough for an Imperator Titan let alone a Warlord, have you thought of doing one of them instead?

Yes, considering the size on those you're closer to Imperator than Warlord. Also I must say that th guns alone look better than almost every scratch build Titan project I've seen on this site. I especially like how you included the maintenance walkways and ladders on them, its a nice touch.

that is just made of pure win, pure awesome, and a bucket load of oure insanity and bravery. That arm itself is amazing, and the fact that it's just the arm and is already bigger than the reaver is amazing. definitly keeping an eye on this. and good luck with the rest of titan.

It's awesome alright, but too big for a Warlord.

Having seen Epic titans before, here's a guide for you;

Warlord ~= Twice the height of a Warhound (About 60cm in 40k scale)

Imperator ~= Twice the height of a Warlord (About 100-120cm in 40k scale)

This said... That gun is *way* too big for a Warlord class titan!

Glad you like it chaps, Stompy is an old Mk1 Warlord (not really a fan of the Mk3) as I have said earlier, he will hopefully get the same makeover as the weapons, I already have full cockpit detail planned. Also lots more gantries to be added to the main body as I intend the titan itself to be a battlefield!

I never sketch things out and prefer to just work from my head as I go, I like it this way, everything is always a surprise

I got to be honest Admiral Koppenflak, I personally don't think there is much room in sci fi gaming for scale, especially for something of this magnitude, I just go with what looks cool and if it makes you think "Holy *****" then I have done my job well

Besides I hail back from the days of the original Adeptus Titanicus, when men were men, cybernetic sheep were wary and Titans were, erm, well TITANIC!

The carapace lifts off, I am toying with the idea of making a "Sunday best" Imperator cathedral to take its place, maybe some new Emperor weapons, long way off though. This is a project I am actually ENJOYING for a change!

I will try and get a progress page up and running on the website if I can break away from my craft knife for long enough...
