I have a bad feeling this is just a estimated guide line date. Doing some snooping around, the Cyanide Bloodbowl website isn't up till the end of March, and their forum chatter (yes, yes, I know not to trust most forum chatter) is casting doubt over any release dates.

Also Play and Game dont have it in their coming soon sections.

Upon closer look, it says it's out on March 30 in the UK only. June 30 for North America. Fun news, huh?... *facedesk* This better not be true!!! No, I don't know what I'd do if it were, but I know I'd be a very angry panda!! For frick sakes, even Austrailia gets it before we do!!

I cant be too upset, BB really is a UK/ European thing. Hell my mates over there said they can go out and play a game in the pud. when they came over for a visit, one of them suggested doing it here cause we were all a bit parched. I had to explain how that wasn't such a stellar idea, unless you were just a masochist.

Ah, I suppose you're right. Still, it's very disappointing how much longer we need to wait after it's been fully completed and released over there, none the less. Just be sure and let us know how it is.

why would you take BB to the pub when you can drink in the comfort of your own home?
and why didn't you have enough to drink at your house when they came over?

this entire post confuses me to no end.

now on topic i sure hope they release the game this early in the rest of europe too, not just the UK there will be hell to pay if they did that.
well they will get an angry letter from me at any rate, before i shell out the cash to buy the game, i need it.

edit: put in  to lighten up the post
(how the hell do you spell smiley/smillie/smillie what???)

I don't disagree, as Blood Bowl for some reason is popular in Germany (I know more Blood Bowl players than 40K or Fantasy players), but I've always found it strange that a game based on American Football is so well liked in places that have no real love for or exposure to the sport.

That site is incorrect. Release date for PC, PSP and DS versions is a worldwide simultaneous June 2009 (probably the 30th). The Xbox version has been pushed back to September '09.

Then you've obviously never experienced a league night or tournament in a pub - great experience, especially when there's 20+ people playing.

Only based on it in name - it's more like rubgy or AFL.

Since none of the three have any exposure here I tend to think of all three as the same.

I'd actually go so far as to say it's far more similar to Rugby than American Football for a number of reasons, regardless of what the rulebook/background fluff states as it being close to American Football. First of all, it's FAR more violent and gritty, but not only that, the ball remains in play when dropped. Both very characteristic of Rugby. American Football in my honest opinion is far too slow for me to want to sit through an entire match, let alone half. Dude hikes the ball to other dude. Dude holding the ball gets rushed and drops the ball. Everything stops and goes to commercial for 5 minutes. *rolls eyes* Perhaps I'm exaggerating, but you get my point.

On the topic of release dates, it's good to know the site's not accurate, but disappointing that the Xbox release is pushed back until September. *groan*

    Re: Cyanides bloodbowl

But then in Rugby you can only hit the guy holding the ball and you can't throw the ball forwards...

Swings and roundabouts I guess. I'd say BB has parts from both US Football and Rugby... not to mention some hockey, a little boxing, some dodgeball...

I for one am glad the xbox version has been pushed back... it'll make the "pc vs xbox" decision far far easier come release date!!!

We can only hope there's enough space for everyone! Keep in mind, it's not 40K, so there's a good possibility. haha The message I got said I would be contacted soon with download info after I clicked 'send registration'. *shrug* Ohhhh I hope...

(edit) Furthermore, it only opened on the 6th this month. Today's not even a whole day since.
