Did the grey company come off the boats on horses?

I don't have my refernce with me and canät really find it on the web. Did the grey company exit the boats of the corsairs unto the fields of pelenor with horse or by foot? Did they ride through the path of the dead or did they leave their horses outside?

The Grey Company led their horses through the Paths of the Dead:

Then Aragorn led the way, and such was the strength of his will in that hour that all the Dúnedain and their horses followed him. And indeed the love that the horses of the Rangers bore for their riders was so great that they were willing to face even the terror of the Door, if their masters’ hearts were steady as they walked beside them. The text would suggest that they initially joined battle on foot For now men leaped from the ships to the quays of the Harlond and swept north like a storm. Quote taken from LOTR Book 5 Chapter 6 The Battle of the Pelennor Fields.

After taking the quays at Harlond I would assess they mounted up:

‘Then let us avenge it, ere we speak of it!’ said Aragorn, and they rode back to battle together. Quote taken from LOTR Book 5 Chapter 6 The Battle of the Pelennor Fields.
