Eldarish-imperial terrain log (a bit tutoriallike)

    Hi

Going to start this with building terrain with everything bought from a aquariumshop (with the occasional flock . Really, really simple and I think it looks pretty good

This is what I bought, showing some already made pieces from coral.

    A quick composition:

    Next

This is a plan with using cd-rom for a base. Later I will build eldar terrain with round landing docks for vypers etc. The base of this will fit on the landing base so the same piece can be changed. Here we go

    Cork and saw:

    Glued to the base:

    Drybrushed and with some moss:

    All singing and dancing:

Wow, very nice. I love the rock pinnacle and how you have done it. Its given me some idea's myself for scenery projects.

A great job also capturing the Eldar terrain feel. Fits perfectly.

Nope ... It's a tile that i think you use for the back of a terrarium. Just foam with some melted plastic on, a bit expensive, but in this first post I wanted everything to be really easy and "prebought" , no actual building.
When I get pictures of the rest of my stuff you'll see more cutting, plastering and ... well constructing

Ok, got inspired by the fast replies .

These next pieces are actually finished and I'll post them as soon as possible, when I get my camera ready . But first the cutting part :

Draw the shapes on the pink stuff (ceiling isolation foam, buy it at your local ... store where you buy wood, nails, and other building material. I'd try and go as thin as possible because it's really tireing to cut the thicker boards and easy to glue boards together with pva glue. And it kills the blades of the knife. ):

Draw the shapes of tribal tattoos seem to be the way to go

Sandpaper the shape and whooa... isn't that a eldar whateveritis-thingy:

The next is supposed to one of those eldar wraithbone structures, that some other race , maybe barbarian humans, later added stonework to build a bridge for a road on.

Template, two of them , mirrored :

    The rather tedious cutting part:

This is a great thing to use if you dont feel like mixing pva and small decorating stones by yourself:

Nice job of avoiding the usual CoD look with that terrain.

Tjena mannen! Looking awesome! This gets me all psyched up to travel north and pound your little Guardsmen into mushy bits.

But seriously, it looks awesome. I like how you've incorporated GWs terrain into your custom stuff.

I think the Eldar stuff looks a bit flat compared to the other bits. I guess you're going for the Wraithbone look, so maybe some yellow/brown wash and a shiny varnish would spice it up a bit?
