Current Epic Army Lists

See here for the current Compendium of Epic Armageddon army lists as developed and tested by the Tactical Command community. I tried adding it as an attachment but the file is larger than the forum allows. If you notice any errors please report them in this thread here.

Also, there's a good online Epic Armageddon army builder to be found here.

Historical note: I previously had several posts worth, each with many attachments, one for each army list. Thankfully now there's an up-to-date compilation of them all, which is much better, as I started the thread with good intentions, but never got round to updating the previous individual lists.

Happy to be of help and to give more exposure to the lists, it's good to see people downloading them. I have added an appropriate comment to the Tyranid list Chroma.

I have a bit of a dilemma, should I:
a). put as many lists here as possible, including all the variants and little lists? My concern is some of these might be very experimental and possibly unbalanced or outdated though, or have seen little feedback or playtesting though, which might not be so ideal for new people to use, plus I would probably run out of space to post them all here.
b). keep the lists here just the official and more well balanced and finished lists, while being quite clear that many other lists were available over at Tac Com and the Wiki should people wish to look for them?
I initially thought a). when I started this but am now leaning more to b). Thoughts / preferences?

Either way I'll edit the initial post to link to the Wiki and Tac Com, where I will be clear the playtesting takes place and I'll write a little introduction pointing out that epic was made the great game it is by a large fan involvement and to try to counter some people's disregarding of the lists, just because they are not 'official.'

To respond to something from the other thread; this isn't intended to replace or compete with the Wiki, but to cater to a partly different audience and the more exposure is all the better IMO. I haven't really used the wiki myself as I was put off when I looked at it ages ago as it seemed out of date and I wouldn't know how to or want to be keeping it updated myself, but it would be great if others did so.

Finally can anyone point me in the direction of the Lugganath list? The link I found didn't seem to work and it sounds interesting.

The lugganath list appears somewhat experimental. It was posted up in a topic on the Tac Com eldar forum about alternate eldar titan weapons. I've attached the copy that I've got that came from there (I assume the most recent) until the author puts an update up somewhere.

I think all the main lists for the major races plus notable variants (So chaos legions, SM Chapters, Eldar Craftworlds etc) and leave out or add notes to highly experimenatl lists like Phase III nids.

I've attached Thurgrims squat list (Most recent list I think) and Epilgrims Demiurg V4 list (It was a forum post converted and reposted by someone else as a word Doc that I've taken and added a reference sheet to and attached here as a pdf)

I also have the Khazak and Gharmull variant lists (I think they're effectively dead though) and the English translation of the the French Squat Codex (too big for file attachment) you'll need to link it to the Tac Com page.

Is there any chance of marking the tourniment legal list as such? I've been away from EA for a while. I no longer know what the 'legal' lists are since Swordwind.

They are already marked. The "Tournament legal" lists are the ones listed with see GW website and haven't been added as pdf's here. On the UK website they're under Specialist Games, Specialist Games Resources, Epic Resources along with the core rules.

Generic Space Marines, Ghazgulls Orks and Generic Imperial Guard in GW PDF 5.0 Background and Forces (points in PDF 6.0 Epic Gaming).
Biel-Tan, Baran Siegemasters and Feral Orks in GW Swordwind (PDF parts 1-4)
Speedfreaks and White Scars in their own pdfs.

Mind you, I suppose it's up to the organiser to decide, in the end. What proportion of Epic tournaments are run by GW?

Which makes me wonder;

How many people play as "intended"; using whatever models they have/like/are described by the scenario, including all the "counts-as" stats, rather than restricting themselves to the tournament lists?

I will give this a good update towards the end of the month, as soon as I have time, with any newer lists and also making it more clear which lists and official or well tested and which are less well playtested or balanced ones.

In general I'll update it more regularly too, I would have liked to by now, but I've just been insanely busy with final essays for my masters recently, it's a temporary thing that will pass.

A request for the mods to hopefully sticky it is in.

I know its a bit arsey to ask for more but to answer your question Id say you should keep up all the lists but it would be nice to have it noted what stages they are all in (ie. ready for use, playtested but needs some work, as yet un-playtested) or some other assessment of how useable they are.

However, that would mean more work and either way thanks again!
