New building in town.
I photo shopped this picture into several versions of a Quonset hut.
I'm not sure what I'll do next. Maybe a concrete block blast wall or indoor items found in homes and offices.
I was thinking with all the blasted open buildings used in the game that there is very like stuff in side those builds.
Items like desks, couches and appliances.

How do you make them? (the textures i mean)

I just use photographs I find on the web and I also found a couple of web sites that have royalty free textures.
I am using a program called Gimp to photo shop the texture and photographs into models.
I'm just learning as I go. DagobahDave, Bugbait and some others have also been helpful with software suggestions.
By the way, take a look at DagobahDave blog too. He has some really great paper scenery and just started a new SciFi range.
Lately I have been mostly building his paper models I bought recently. I have been turning his medieval buildings into Christmas decorations.

I only glanced at this thread a few weeks ago. On closer inspection there is some incredible stuff that you have created, especially the items that aren't commonly done (the boxes, machines etc). Really excellent work - stunning in fact.

Any thoughts of some additional urban buildings to accompany the couple that are most fitting?

I just registered for this Thread, someone posted about this on the Pulp City forum, and i came looking.
Love your shantytown, great stuff.

I only fear, that the textures are a little too blurry, but who complains about freeware?
Still, if you have higher resolutions versions they would be highly appreciated.

My first offerings (all the boxes and similar items) where all done on JPG files, but I moved on to PNG which is better.
The only way to make better images would be to go back to the work in progress items, if I didn't save over them.
Hopefully the buildings are are better for you if you need those items?
I still have some problems with losing detail when I convert the PNG to pdf files for the buildings.
I'm using free demo software to convert to pdf.
It's still a lot better than JPG, but I have to make do with what I have.
Hopefully in a month or so I can get back to doing more stuff.

What is you next area of focus, having dealt (comprehensively) with the boxes etc, then the shanty town?

Just one or two more shanty type buildings, then maybe a blast barrier wall.
I'm thinking of some indoor items to scatter around the interior of damaged buildings.
Things like appliances and furniture.
