.....and it back from the dead !!!!

I got this kromlech trakk and had second thoughts. It was on my modeling desk next to a tauros venator.......and.....i got a crazy idea !
What if my desurt squigs looted on of those venators ? How would that look ?

Heres the humble start of this mad project.

Loads of work ahead, but i Think it looks the part.
Ill use it as a buggy in the games i never get to play

    Thanks, Mate
The squats are alive and kicking in my imperial thread. Just started on a new squad for what will hopefully one day be a platoon of the small buggers.
The landtrain is on hold as i need some more GS details from -BoBo- Before i can move on.

Hmm, no one here either................what am i doing wrong ?

Changed the bigshootas for some lewisguns. Not finished but you get the idea.

Then i did some more work on the venator. Got most of the basics done, now i need to orkify it

    Do like orks in "tinhats".

Finally a picture so you can judge the size of these buggies.

Think that does it for today.

I totally dig those buggies! What did you use for the wheels on the 4 wheeler? They are way too cool.

    Thanks alot, Dark Magos Gillian
Those wheels are from the kromlech kit "ork desert raider". Both these vehicles are more or less kromlech.
Ive just added my own flavour, a little on the raider and alot on the venator.
I know that they sell those wheels loose, so i dont think you should have any problems finding them online

    Re: SDKFZs Orkz

So, ive taken time to work on my old sins from the start of this thread.
The gunwagon will get a M3 gunmotor carrage remake
This is how it looks right now. it needs some sort of Engine at the back and some more plates and rivets. (ork for scale)

Then i switched the wheels on my 15 CWT trukk.

Sad that they dont have gun trukks any more, this would have made a great kanon portee

Love the look and theme of this army. An phrase banded about a lot when I was a nipper about Brit vehicles was: "Designed in a pub, built in a shed" So perfect for an Ork themed army...

Thanks alot for your support, Mates

Designed in a pub, built in a shed, just right for my orks..........well ANY orks really
You just made my day, SpaceFink

Made some minor work on the gunwagon M3. Made a ground roller at the front.

This will only count as reinforced ram as its to small for a Deathrolla.
I think that a real deathrolla would ruin the look of the vehicle that i was after.
Im not a competitive player , i play for fun.

i like your last comment. "i play for fun" as that is what the whole idea is about FUN. really liking the front of that, and agree a deathroller would be to much on this.

    Re: SDKFZs Orkz

    Awesome work here...really good indeed.
For the Venator, maybe make them a bit more like Lewis guns? Like adding a drum magazine on the top (can never have too much ammo) and a small bar beneath each gun barrel (going from the little aiming sight on the bottom back to the main gun housing?
    Anyway, fantastic stuff.

    SDKFZ,

Great work, you really like the Venators in your various armies.

    Neat theme throughout.

I think a Grot holding a drum of ammo would be a neat addition...especially since the complicated fitting of the drum magazine into the weapon might take a little too long for Orkish patience.

    Cheers,

@ andyg2006: Thanks, Mate As i did lewisguns on the other buggy and most of my boys bigshootas, this one will have M2HBs instead. Might add those bars though........

@ Captain Brown: Yeah, i guess those venators grew on me.......ammogrots or riggers will get added, thanks for pointing them out, Mate.

Almost done with the M3 gunwagon. Here are some pictures to show you the latest.

Not sure about the "gun hood"......is it just that it hasnt got enough rivets and plates or should i build a new one, closer to the original ?
Rather pleased with how the engine turned out.
