Cheers for the comment. The red on the beast is mechrite red, drybrushed with blood red, then about 3 coats of badab black over the whole thing. Re highlight the edges with mechrite and I gave the whole thing a really really light drybrush with white.

Any other details wanted please ask, glad to have people showing interest.

    Hey hey!

Thanks to all for the comments. Yeah that whip is a little crazy, but I thought if that guy has managed to break in a juggernaut he can handle it! Also was always disappointed seeing other whips on models and thinkin they always looked too short.

Rule of cool on that one, theres not much more brutal that a massive barb wire whip in the hands of a chaos marine!

Progress. Bin converting a rhino. The plan was to make it chaosy without just sticking the iron railings on. What do you all think?

And for a bit of fun bits so I can use it as a vindicator!

I've also been messing with bits to adapt it to be a razorback and whirlwind. Not sure about them yet but I'll post some pics at a later date for the public view.

    Cheers for now,

    Sprugly

that looks good so far, although I would have used a proper dozer blade if your trying to keep away from the typical spiky bits chaos

what you plannin for the plasticard hatch? maybe a bit of freehand in there?

Those Juggernaut riding Marines are awesome! I think the whip is a great addition. I'm just wondering, how did you paint the red armour on them, what technique?

Might do some freeman on the hatches. A big black skull if nothin else. As for the front ram, there are 3 reasons I used the spiked bit. 1 It makes it different from the loyal rhino I did for the dragons which has the big dozor blade, 2 I don't have a spare dozor, and 3 I kinda like it! I don't mind some spikes I just think the railing set up can look a bit stuck on like an afterthought.

    Cheers for the comments!

this was the plan for the whirlwind conversion

    and razorback

what does everybody think of these. not sure myself. think i may scrap the idea. Instead i may use this turret and "count as" twin assault cannons for a razorback. Not too much of a stretch there i think?

not keen on the boxy turrent myself, looks like something the orks would sling together...whats the turret from? although the autocannons look cool

The square bit is the base of the autocannon turret, its from the defence line or bastion kit, can't remember. The autocannon is cooler.

Yea I think the autocannon looks the coolest, the box looks okay for the whirlwind conversion, but I don't think it looks as good with the heavy bolters.

Anyway, Chaos can't take whirlwinds right?

BTW, the autocannon thing is from the Hydra Flak Tank right?

    The autocannon are from this

    http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/ca...dId=prod20006a

As is the box bit. I don't think I'll bother with the whirlwind bit at the mo. Maybe I'll do something later cut to be honest I'm far more likely to use the vindicator.
And yeah, unfortunately you can't use a whirlwind in a chaos army, then again there aren't rule for juggernaut riders either which I why I'm using the space wolf codex. When I saw the new juggers I just had to put a marine on top! Lol

Maybe you could change the autocannons for assault cannons. They are searched by GK players now

And yeah... the turret is too blocky. Maybe you could use the front plate of the turret as shield for the weapons, if you know what Im refering to

Undercoated the rhino now along with the autocannon and vindicator turrets.
I could swap what weapon around but the autocannon does look cool. And i don't want to spend too much longer fiddling With the razorback turret cause I don't think I'll be using it much anyway.

I do have another couple of those quad autocannon turrets so maybe one day I'll build a rifleman of my own
