When did man turn up for the party?

    How do folks,

Just a quick wee question, when did the humnas make an apperance in the warhammer world? It'll be after the elves and dwarves...but not too sure on the approx date on the imp calender.

Im trying to work out a timeline for a chain of islands and its the only thing im really struggling atm

well, man was certainly around when the warp gates fell and im pretty certain they were indeed created by the old ones.

what you have to remember is that the old ones spent probably thousands of years terraforming etc so theres plenty of room for the elder races (elves, dwarves etc) to have been around for some considerable time before the younger races (humans, ogres, halflings etc)were created while still being way back in the mists of time.

Humanity would have been small, tribal or possibly nomadic societies at the time (i have a theory that the elves refer to man as a "younger race" simply because mans level of higher civilisation hasnt been around that long rather than the age of the race itself)

i think maybe the best place to look for information would be the timeline in the lizardman army book, but i cant find mine right now

In "Malekith" Snorri and Malekith come across a band of humans camping out in the north so they have been around since before the Sundering

That old book "The World of Warhammer" has the Old ones arriving in -15000 and begin with the Elves immediately. The Dwarfs begin colonising the worlds edge mountains at -5000 and meet the Elves in -4119. The collaspe of the polar gates happens at -5600.

The stuff i can see that gives firsts for humans are:

-2500 First human civilisation, that of Nehekhara, flourishes along the Great River east of Araby.

-2000 The largest human city of the Old World flourishes in what is now Tilea (the name of this city was Kavzar becomes Skavenblight in -1600)

-1000 The Bretonni tribe settle in the north west of the Old World.

    -30 Sigmar of Unberogen born

It also mentions that small tribes of humans are around the Old World at the same time as Nehekhara but they are almost an afterthought.

Before the Dark Elves split from their evil cousins who refused to put the true heir on the throne, Malekith was a very good friend and strong ally of the dwarves.

This changed after the split, when Malekith thought it would be funny to raid Dwarven outposts in High Elf army uniforms, starting the High Elf-Dwarf conflicts which lead to the Dwarves' beards being shaved off by the High Elves.

I liked "Malekith" it gave some pretty good insight into Malekith and the beginning of the Druchii.

Duh, Man is M4 , Elves are M5 and Dwarves are M3.
Man is medium height, Elves are tall , Dwarves are short
Men use most weapons including guns and bows. Dwarves and Elves use guns and Bows.
    Ghal Maraz = Dwarven
    Magic = Elven
At any point did an Elf screw a Dwarf and have a Human baby?

Actually, it would've had to happen at least twice....

A little known fact is that The War of Vengeance wasn't started by Malekith, but by a simple custody battle .
