    The Bearded One's Tau Cadre

Apart from my fantasy armies I am also working on a 40K army. It's been in the fridge for a long time because I couldn't find the right colourscheme. I tried out something like 10 colourschemes but nothing worked. Then I accidentaly stumbled on this one and I am really happy with it.

After an excessive amount of fantasy gaming it's about time I get my Tau far enough to play games. I'm gonna start working to 1000 points first, and this will roughly be the list

    battlesuitcommander
    plasmarifle, missilepod, multitracker, targetting array

    2 bodyguards
    plasmarifle, missilepod, multitracker, targetting array

    2 battlesuits
    twinlinked missilepods, targetting array

    1 battlesuit
    twinlinked fusionblaster, targetting array

    8 firewarriors
    shas'ui, markerlight

    8 firewarriors
    shas'ui, markerlight

    8 firewarriors
    shas'ui, markerlight

sniperdrone team ( str6 AP3, pinning, and the spotter even has a BS4 networked markerlight, why not? )

    broadside
teamleader, twinlinked plasmarifle, multitracker, targetting array

    broadside
teamleader, twinlinked plasmarifle, multitracker, targetting array

The list might still be changed though. In 1500 pts I think I want to add pathfinders and more sniperdrones

Here is the first bodyguard battlesuit

I find the metal sniper drone team a bit too expensive ( €26 ) so I just kitbashed my own from the zillions of drones you get with all other boxes and a firewarrior.

Really nice Tau! Great colour scheme, and neat conversion for the sniper drone as well. Looking forward to seeing this develop!

Gorgeous painting. I love the highlights on this guy. The base is nicely done too- interesting but doesn't detract from the figure. Also I think you have the same camera as me! The lens cap looks identical.

A sniper drone team comes with a spotter and 3 sniperdrones I'm doing it the lazy way and converting them from drones and simple fire warrior pulse rifles.

The red amror looks pretty coo...hot. Gives the image of alien materials, quite fitting for Tau (what do they use btw?, kind of steel or an composite material or super-resistant ...wood?).
Looking forward to see more of this

Hello, oh wow! Love the red armour, such a great contrast between the shade and and highlight! And the grey really compliments it they both look really, really good!
And the conversion of the sniper drone spotter is awesome! A great way around the silly amount you have to pay for the metal ones

    Firewarrior squad, W.I.P.

The sept markings indicate this squad is squad #2.

Nice! The pulse rifles look like they need some highlights though.

The markings remind me of the Baresso logo. Not a bad thing, just... peculiar.

I think your spotter looks awesome.
    And the bodyguard looks awesome.
I'm not sure of where you're headed with the snipers, but I scratched mine using 2 flamethrowers, 2 shoulders from XV8s, a XV8 sensor thing, pulse rifle pieces, and the big antennae from the Devilfish.

    Just an idea.

I am accepting commissions for Forgeworld building. I know many of you may love Forgeworld, but I'd just love to get my hands on something just to build it, you can keep it. You don't even have to pay me! Just for the product!

I am going the lazy man's route and just take a drone with a firewarrior pulserifle stuck under it

Here's the shas'ui ( sergeant or veteran ) of the second firewarrior squad. The white helmet and shoulderpad panel distinguishes him from the normal warriors.

I started on a new battlesuit. Best foot forward shall we say? Quite literally in fact.
