So it has been half a year, but I am back to working on my remaining Sisters of Battle. I have picked up three old metal Sisters with Standards that I am going to convert into Imagifiers. It was not cheap...I was hoping more would be available at a reasonable price as many folks are switching over to the new plastics. One I received listed as used but complete was even missing part of it's standard, so I have made a conversion holding a Sisters of Battle vehicle Icon.

First one in progress, Icon but together from a cut-up vehicle Icon.


The next two in progress. but further behind, including the one with it's short staff (now with an Icon with a hole drilled in the back stuck into the stump).


If anyone has an old one of these they do not intend to use, let me know.

Excellent work on those Icons/Imagifiers, it really captures the diverse appearance that religious icons would have and breaks up the sisters a bit.

If you have access to the old bretonnian range, that would be a great source for holy relic looking bits as well. I'm interested to see what you come up with

Very nice! So I think it was around this time last year you were nearing the end of the sisters army. With the new kits and new 3rd party pieces available, has the acquisition program been extended substantially? Are all the new pieces fitting in well enough with the old?

Chartist Captain,

You are correct, it was about this time last year I had finished the army...then someone made me an offer I could not refuse on four Sister's tanks still on their sprues and I started a replacement plan for my old Mark I Rhino chassis based tanks. Now I am at five of seven painted up (2 Immolators, 1 Exorcist, 1 Repressor, and 1 Rhino) although I have no intention of matching the numbers of vehicles I had. In the meantime added a few more Sisters to the army as the Chapter Approved changes came down. Now of course, the "new" tanks I have been painting have themselves become obsolete.

Next up is a metal and plastic Exorcist.


I did try one of the new plastic Sister's models, but the model is so different that I do not intend to add plastic infantry or the new vehicles to my army and will instead stay a metal force.

Yes it is a bit annoying when the new range just does not fit with the old range. That happened with the Bretonnians, not only the humans, but the horses as well, were completely changed. You know that I have had three world destruction's that have killed of my Armies. Squats, Bretonnians and now look what they did to Cadia.

To be honest, CB, I much prefer the metal Sisters of Battle anyway... and feel quite sorry for all those people waiting for an update, only to get 'souless' plastic miniatures that are in a completely different scale. I'm loving your work on the metal ones and am looking forward to seeing how you make the next vehicle a bit different.

The Imagifers look great... it's the little differences that really make an army pop.

Keep it up... don't be disheartened about the plastics... the metals are much better .

Here is the seventh and final tank of the reboot from the Mark I to the Mark II Rhino chassis (which has now been replaced by new Sister's vehicles).

Made from a regular Rhino chassis, with some magnets and some Sisters of Battle extras with some old Bretonnian transfers thrown in.
