Very nice work. I love the sisters of battle. If I was going to do another army It would definitely be them.
Keep it up!
My Imperium Project Log: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showth...f-the-Imperium
Thanks guys, so one more Sister finished, so here she is with the newly converted fromer Seraphim Sister Superior for the last two to add to my second squad.
That brings the Seraphim squads to 10 models each and here is the second squad.

So it has been a while since my last update, but I have not been idle (just been working on my Tau log). I found a pewter blister at one of my locale hobby shops and it was a Witch Hunters blister with several of the old retinue figures, so I picked it up as it has the Dialogus figure for a command squad.
So I have a few more figures to paint now and the two Rhinos as well.
More updates to follow as the long painting war continues...

CB,
Good score mate I have been looking for some of those fro a while.
Colonel Jacka
12th Cadian Mech Regt (Orphan Brigade)
Battle Group Imperators Aegis
CADIA STANDS!! All Hail St Pius! (RHUF)Posted by Rhaivaen "I think some of you are way to nonchalant about this subject."
Thanks Colonel Jacka, if you are interested in any of them other than the Dialogus send me a PM.
So you remember those two Blood Red Rhinos that I bought on EBay.
Here they are after a bath of Simple Green.
Then some primer.
Then apply paint...
The old Rhino had seen several coats it looks like and that left a patina of old paint that just would not come off...but I figure if these tanks were supposed to have been around for a millennium and cared for as nearly religious icons it would mean some buildup of paint.
Next Rhino is getting the same treatment and should be finished shortly. I went for simple and to match the rest of my tanks, so black with some highlighting and certain details in red or white. The tank name and lights stand out.

So I finished the Dialogus for the command squad and I while I was at it I decided to tinker with the Squad's make-up. Now I have two Multi-Meltas due to the Faith Point affect that the squad has, I think I will be changing the make-up of my Battle Sisters Squads because of this and the fact I need to make the Dominions into a full 10 figure unit to make use of all my Melta Guns.
So this squad will now ride into battle in the Immolator.

Nice, clean and striking colours. I would re-do the grill on the first rhino front side as the silver is a bit smeared.

Lovely stuff, Captain. You're like a machine - you churn figures out constantly to a superb tabletop level. Well done!

Thanks Gen.Steiner,
I just like having painted armies on the table top.
I also try to make certain that every update has some images or update information.
So this is my Dominion Squad, I have added some numbers to make an even 10 and added the standard to make certain that the faith point works for the four Melta Guns to make certain their target gets turned into melted goo. The extra Sisters also means that the squad can take some casualties and if necessary engage enemy troops protecting the target tank. I added the old Canoness with the Flamer Combi-Bolter to give a little extra punch if enemy infantry do need to be pushed aside. The Rhino is also in the photo that is used to deliver the Dominions into range with their target.

Picture of my two Sisters Tactical Squads.
First one is a sort of static firebase with sixteen models (mainly to catch the extra Sisters I have and make a decent sized firebase). It has mainly anti-infantry weapons and usually will set up as far forward as possible and if necessary move closer to an objective and hold it.
Second is more mobile with a Rhino and a Melta Gun/ Storm Bolter combination (sort of jack-of-all-trades squad) and with it's transport can go forth and seize an objective.
I am considering collecting a few more sisters and possibly another classic Rhino, so if you have some or know someone who does let me know. (Request now filled by two WarSeer members - really only looking for Sister Superiors or Canoness models/parts now - thanks guys)

Another addition, the Living Saint:
I painted her in the same colours as the rest of the army, as she was originally going to be a Canoness with a jump pack...but now she is back as a living legend in the flesh.

living saint looks ace fella, really great work.
Your Saint looks beautiful Capt Brown. I can't believe I missed this plog. Your army is simple and effective and looks great together. I love the old school rhino's, Repressor's and the Converted Exorcists. Classic SOB army.
I was going to do a bone coloured armour SOB army but once I caught a whiff of the WD dex, they where sold ASAP.
I think the Sisters are a converters dream army. There is so much scope for conversion work especially with the Inquisitors and the Command Squads. Please keep up the good fight. =o]
Gentlemen,
Thank you for the comments, sorry for the late reply, but my photobucket account had basically reached saturation for the month, so I had to hold off one of my logs and since the Sisters were basically done I left this thread alone for a while...
But as we all know no army is ever truly done...
I recently purchased some Sisters from a forum member, and then had one of my gaming buddies passed me some Sisters models he had lying around gathering dust...then another buddy gave me a few old Rhinos that had not been used in a decade.
So the next couple of posts will have the first photos of these acquisitions.
From my gaming buddy - four Sisters and two Heavy Weapons:
From a purchase on WarSeer: (From tulkasulmar - good trader - recommended)
The Flamer Sister on the left seems to be missing part of the end of her weapon, but I can probably cut off the nozzle end from an Imperial Guard flamer.
So I am going to build a couple of new Sisters of Battle Squads.
More to come, as the long painting war is never over...

Since I reached the image limit on the last post take a look at these babies...they have just been stripped of their coats of paint...these two Rhinos are so old the plastic is that tan colour old GW models came in back in the Rogue Trader days.
So now I need to find some Sisters of Battle parts for the side doors and the front.
Watch this space for updates.

>>Drooling over ancient rhinos<<
CB - great looking sisters, which units will be next from your "new" group?
Can't wait to see more
Thanks Dudde,
I plan on building another Troop choice first, so 10 Sisters and a Rhino.
I have not been posting on this thread and have left off the sisters since my Photobucket account was almost at its image limit and I moved over to my Guard log and had so much fun doing them I let this one slide to the back-burner. However now I have returned to the Sisters, to start I needed a Sister Superior (if anyone has one or two of them lying around looking for a new home please PM me).
First up I am going to make my own Sister Superior...in a trade from a few years ago I ended up with a Sister Superior Seraphim...one that there seems to be a lot of lying around. This model had come in a pretty beat up state, including both arms removed, both weapons removed from the arms and missing the Seraphim backpack. So with my pin-vice and some elbow grease and a spare plastic Bolter and an extra Sister's backpack I have built a new Sister Superior for an infantry squad.
Comments on how that turned out are welcome.
I also tried to fix that Flamer, but I was not as happy with the result. It is on the right; you can see the end of the Guard Flamer on the bottom of the Flamer end.
