Managed to finish her (well, except for the base):




I have three minis standing on my painting table: A Tokusetsu, a Ninja Hacker and Shinobu Kitsune. Still not sure which I'm going to paint next - suggestions?

Went with the Ninja-Hacker. Not 100% happy with her (the Devlan Mud dried very uneven and on larger, flat areas, the washed grey doesn't look as good as in small, heavily textured ones), but it's enough.




Also got a game in (200 points YuJing training excercise :-D), pics coming when I've sorted them through!

So, as promised some pictures of our game:

My Gang: A Dumaru (my lieutenant), a Kempei, three Haramaki, a Ninja Hacker and a Tokusetsu(not pictured)


The opponents: Three Zanshis, a Celestial Guard, a Shang Ji Invincible, a Haramaki with Missile Launcher and a Hsien


A Haramakis advances down the right flank. He actually killed two Zanshis before dying to a misslie to the face

The situation towards the middle of the game. The haramaki on the top left was really annoying, as he could see literally everywhere and I had no good long-range weapons to take him down...


Suddenly a Ninja appears! But sadly, she failed at hacking the Hsien two or three times, barely managed to shoot down a zanshi and was then cut down by the Hsien.
(Though my plan was actually to hack the Shang Ji, wich would have been easier - but he already died to two of my haramakis)


In the end, my Haramakis managed to immobilise and finally kill the Hsien, putting the Chinese into Loss of Lieutenant and retreat, and my opponent conceded the game at that point.

We used the full rules for the first time, so the game took a bit longer due to us having to look up quite a lot of stuff. But it was still tons of fun .
Random thoughts: Next time I'll be a bit more agressive, especially with my lieutenant. I have the Kempei to back her up, so i should take some risks. In this game she barely did anything because I was to afraid of losing my leader. The haramakis were awesome, and I'm already thinking about adding one with a missile launcher to my collection. The Kempei didn't do anything, but then she was just an insurance. The Tokusetsu shoot a Zanshi (I think...he killed/wounded someone, to my surprise, not sure anymore whom exactly) and had no opportunity to heal a model - not sure about him...

Played several small Infinity games against my brothers Pan Oceanians yesterday. Unfortunately my cameras battery died, so only a few snapshots to show.

My order hasn't arrived yet, and probably won't for a few days yet, so there won't be updates for quite some time...

So, I'm sick. But on the other hand my package arrived, so in between the sneezing, coughing and blowing my nose, I got some painting done!

Hmm, not sure what's funny exactly, but maybe I shouldn't post after taking medicine But thanks anyway!

We played three or four short games (100 pts. a side) and I lost all but the last one. Most of my units are close combat orientated or at least work best in very short ranges, which in Infinity is kinda hard to get into. Learned a lot though - e.g. that most models come with a pistol and so can still shoot, even if their main weapon is out of range (not that it does much, but at least you can throw a dice when shot at).

Very nice painting. I am intrigued by infinity, they do have some nice models, and skirmish games are a lot easier to get into.

These models are really cool! And your painting has really progressed too, even in such a short time. I'd be proud to have these guys in my own soon-to-start Infinity army

A tip for your scenery: For the towers/buildings made from card tubes, cover them with some cheap filler or textured paint. It will let you make a more interesting concrete texture and cover the card tube lines.

@Pilgrimski: Thanks! The tip with the filler/textured paint is good, if I build something from cardboard tubes again I will try out how it looks!
