Has anyone got this and played it much?
I actually quite like Talisman, but I'm wondering if it makes the transition to 40K well?

“For a long time humour was thought to be the most potent antidepressant; recently, though, it was found that the bitter suffering of one's enemies, with the placing of sensible limitations on the success of one's friends, was still more effective.”
Haven't played talisman. But relic is quite a good game from the one session is had. It's long though and every one went through at least 2 characters in the session I played.
My understanding is that talisman is more random where as in relic you can mitigate most die rolls by playing cards instead.

I used to post links to my Plogs, battle reports and other gubbins here, but now I have too many projects for the URL's to fit, so now I'll just bring you this message.
I had a lot of fun with Relic, and you can work some strategy into it (though you are at the mercy of the dice at times), I was playing as the space marine and found an area on the inner ring that generated plenty of good challenges and loot for my build, and ground that area to level before taking on the warp storm.
As Masterdecoy said, its a long game to play, but good fun for an evenings game and the characters have lots of re-playability.

Would you say it's worth buying if you've got Talisman (and a few expansions) already?
Depends on how much you like the ip.
