The adventures of Serefina and Crue

So here is the next installment of archway building, the Daxio way!



So used template again and cereal packet: cut shape, then marked and cut brick shapes to clad archway, glued all bits on both sides. Then cut 5mm ceral card strips for inside of archway to strengthen.
I hope these pictures are better!

Nearly the end of the building process, just making fancy and a few strenthening tips.



Using whatever i have to hand, cereal card, thicker card and barbeque skewers, cocktail sticks, pieces from my bits box- decorate the archway.
I use a mix of sand and PVA to create a cement to seal edges of base for strength- I use this stuff a lot.
Will paint archway when my head has stopped hurting from all this computer business!!!!

Here is final painted Archway. Lots of dry brushing with; the fang; Fenrisian grey; white; lines in bleached bone



The only extra thing I do is coat whole model with cheap, acrylic oak wood stain, its a bit like armybuilder stuff, allegedly.
I do this with everything I make.

Looking good! I use oak varnish on my terrain too- adds shading and varnishes at the same time
Leaves a slightly glossy finish I find, which brand do you use? I use wilkinsons own brand 'dark oak' wood varnish.

Its the Dreaded B&Q stuff, have tried deep mahogany- bit red, and settled on dark or antique oak depends which they have.
I use it on everything, figures, terrain, the lot, is a bit glossy, you're right, but I've got used to it,
think its great

The Windy Wharf Inn



This is the Inn that we start most of our adventures from in the City of Jaccio.
Luckily they let dogs in so Jazz is ok...
All the items are scratch built, great fun to do and I have to say plenty of inspiration came from "DMinfo and DM scotty's" tutorials.

Finally a larger picture, Serefina enjoying a meal with Bjorg and Jazz, while Crue gets the drinks in!
If it weren't for Serefina's obvious beauty, settlements could be difficult, no one wants to be chucked out by the guard!

Here is the latest room I've been working on, realised there were several smaller sections that I hadn't completed!







The torches are made from old pencils with green stuff ontop. All materials baring, greenstuff and paint, are recycled and board cost nothing to make.

Especially like the lollypop stick bookcase. How about painting some titles on the books? need to think of some funny books

I also love the bookcase. Shows how lolly sticks are brilliant materials for terrain making. How did you make the books?

Lovely stuff here. Added accessories really bring games like Warhammer Quest to life and you've got plenty! I Look forward to more updates.

These are pictures of basic models from Quest which I have had painted a while but never got round to photographing. They are mostly very old originals, Quest actually got me into playing Warhammer many years ago, or they're conversions.











Most of the smaller spiders are hand made from green stuff, I wasn't prepared to pay ebay prices. The rest I had kept from the original boxed set although I had given rest away!!!!

Some bats, again some home made. I'll have a go at modelling figures but am not brilliant.

The goblins are a mixture of old and new. In my goblin army I have a unit of 100 original Quest goblins with spears....fun!

I love checking in on this plog. Great stuff you've got here. I really admire the doorways, the ones that come in the box set are all identical and I always wanted more variety in there. Love how dirty and stained the floors are. That well is awesome too! Keep it up!
