Super jealous you have yours painted already. I've got mine all ready for primer, just need a day warm enough to do it.

Also - not to be critical - but if you have Photoshop or another image program handy you might want to brighten your pics abit. Your lovely work is being obscured.

This was literally a 5 second task. (That could be automated for large batches)

Totally agree with what you say Schmapdi, I am useless at taking pictures, on the plus side my customers are always shocked when they receive their models as they are usually much much better in the flesh! LOL

It's one of the reasons I have actually started to try and include a few pictures in 'natural' light and out of the cube as in real life the shading is much more subtle and the digital photography, or at least my ham fisted attempts can make them look a little rough!

Next batch I will try and lighten them up a little, I do actually take them pretty much up to the level you show using photoshop then I lay a gradient filter over them (coz I think it looks purty and all fancy pants). I will try and hold back from my established tradition next time round, leopard and its spots and such, but I will try!!!

I think your pics are, for the most part, excellent. Just a touch too dark. And I'm entirely sympathetic to the problems of getting decent shots of them. You can see in my own logs that, even with a lightbox, my results are just all over the place.

Anyways, greatly looking forward to seeing your Blight! Keep up the good work.

Great paint jobs!! my god i wish i could paint that fast, every time i play the game, i say to myself i'm going to start getting these painted up, then once i realize it will take me weeks or more to get them all done, i rebox and for my next play.....

Finally pulled my finger out and started work on the Rivet board.
Got together all the materials last week, Balsa wood, thick backing card and some HD poly

Got cracking this afternoon and fleshed out the boards to build a generous size battleground. I decided not to go too crazy on the ground detail as from experience putting too much on the floor just results in figures standing at crazy angles, etc. Think I will spray the whole board with stone textured paint. The craft stuff is latex based and I have found as well as creating a nice textured finish it provides quite a forgiving surface when models hit the dirt! Casting some sandbags up as we speak, these will probably be mounted on card runners so they can be positioned as necessary and removed to allow the boards to stack neatly. Its just a matter of cutting all that balsa up and creating the duck boards then. All good clean fun!
As you can guess, I'm making things up and experimenting as I go along...I work best this way and more importantly having a lot of fun!

Sandbags added. Removable in sections so the boards can stack. Next job to start chopping some balsa and creating those duck boards then a splash of paint!

Burnt a little midnight oil and got the duck boards finished. Quite a relaxing job, hardest part was eating all those lollies fast enough so I could use the sticks!

Great thing I discovered is the sandbags slot into the trenches when not in use and it all stacks neatly, wish I could say it was by brilliant design but I have to be honest, totally lucked out on that one!

Brilliant game of Rivet Wars Yesterday, friend and me playing the Blight just managed to pull a victory out of the hat with by shooting the Allied carrier Pidgeon before he made it to the enemy HQ with vital orders. Last turn was neck with both sides needing only 1 Victory point to win!
