What do axes, swords, and blunt weapons do?

I was using my old LotR Strategy Battle Game book to make a historical game (also using the Age of Trebuchet rules), and I was thinking of doing something with the difference between axes, swords, and blunt weapons. I could not remember what they are and could not find the old thread that asked that same questions (it was a very old one). Would someone be kind enough to tell me those extra rules. Thanks!

Axes: better damage less defense
Sword: re roll if you roll the lowest number on the dice
Mace: make them fall
