Wait, SEGA is still alive? When did they find the time to stop making **** 3D Sonic games?

It would be interesting. SAGE engine is good, as is TW-engine(s?)/style.
Remember how Witch king worked with his fellbeast? It works in WH too.
Generals, heroes, sorcerers joining and leaving from units...

Good trailer, but it is just a trailer. I don't expect much until I see some gameplay (which can't look bad, when big company is making this [exept EA]).

    May I forecast:
Day one DLC-chaos. Chaos factions are available only in day 1. Then no more. Ohhhhhh I see soo much milking possibilities in these DLC:s as developer. Fyi the expansions and fans. We need money back in multiples!

And think about all of those special rules!

And shows that it is based on the old fantasy game and not what ever 9e will be.

Van Horstmann, Von Carstein, Karl Franz, and Gorbad Ironclaw looked awesome. I'm surprised they didn't have Ungrim in it instead of the random dwarf gunner.

Gorbad Ironclaw and Karl Franz don't live in the same time period so I don't think it's Gorbad leading the Orcs.

Great to see that it's not 9th edition Warhammer but I even hope the game takes place before the end times.
That could lead to have all Warhammer armies in the game if we are very lucky. Some of them would be minor factions of course (like Chaos Dwarfs for example).

You're in luck. CA confirmed it's set before the End Times.

Im still surprised so many people expected post End Times 9th edition. If it really does turn out to be bubbles of reality that concept wont fly with a TW game.

How so? Seems inherently what they do anyway. The Rome bubble, the Japan bubble, etc, etc.

I think he meant in terms of a contiguous map that makes sense for expansion and empire-building. You could do that with floating reality bubbles, but would look very different compared to other Total War games. Stands to reason they would set it in a time before that happens, if it indeed does occur. I think a more sandbox style game, allowing you to play as both the larger factions like the Empire, and smaller ones like Tilea, would be cool. Perhaps do the factions like they are in Rome 2: have the overarching faction, with subfactions that have different starting cities, some additional traits, and a modified unit roster. Would let you have the Empire, Chaos, Orcs, Tilea, etc., but with variation worthy of the game: Middenlanders, Reiklanders, Nulners, etc; Norscans, Kurgan, Hung; Savage Orcs, Night Goblins, regular Orcs (um...Badlanders?); Remas, Luccini, etc. Plus all the minor factions that are unplayable but still they're own factions, allowing for some random tribe of orcs, or dukedom in the Border Princes, to be a player in larger things.

    Could be awesome.
