Even though it will be coming out at the end of 2016 (according to word coming from the 40th bday) it will be awesome to go through the year knowing it's comingOur league best dust off for season 3.
Very exciting stuff, a BB remake was heading into the territory of SoB in that we kept hearing about it but nothing ever showed up. Lets go Averland Archers! I mean... Sgmarite Sigmersons from Sigmaville.
Best news ever. And just as I thought I'd escaped from GW. They look really nice. Big question is what they plan to do with the rules... big overhaul or slight mod of existing rules?

i am hoping they stick close to the 1994 (3rd edition rules)
the current living rulebook while has improved some areas such as league and team structure from the original rules, it has become a bit bloated with "fan rules"
do we need 5 (high, dark, wood, pro, elf) elf teams?
new models definitely
new rules, i hope the are more cautious and use the 3rd ed as a solid starting point
There are 4 elf teams: high, dark, wood and pro.
not 5.

In the CRP, they're called high, dark, wood and elf. But it's still one too many, if you ask me.
Same goes for Necromantic, Khemri, undead and Vampire. Undead and Necromantic can be easily combined.
I'm painting a crapload of quite old models for WFB, 40K, Blood Bowl, Quest, Necromunda, BFG and more. Cheer me on!
I'm also restoring 20+ old Mk1 Space Marine tanks. Wave your pom-poms!
Models painted (% finished): 2014: 51 (6.6%); 2015: 106 (13.5%); 2016: 163 (22.6%); 2017: 35 (25.2%)
Agreed on the undead.
Big question is price of teams. I will assume they will package the new teams as 12 man sets. $75usd per?

This is indeed great news.
I'm actually thinking to come back to BB for a while now and was already checking the market out there for miniatures.
Must say that Necromantic Team from Willy Miniatures looks great. As does the Chaos Dwarfs team (and the future Nurgle Team looks quite promising as well).
I might risk it and buy some teams now. Even if they aren't in the new game, I could play using the LRB, as it will be just playing with friends occasionally.
No time for leagues these days sadly.
EDIT:
Actually the Campaign on the Nurgle Team started:

45 Early birds left as of now.
