    If a mortal life of faithful honour was a rock, it would be sundered by thirtythree cracks of perfidy. I name them:

    I. Apostasy, for it is perfidy to deity.

    II. Heresy, for it is perfidy to faith.

    III. Laxity of devotion, for it is perfidy to worship.

    IV. Failure, for it is perfidy to success.

    V. Neglect, for it is perfidy to mastery.

    VI. Treason, for it is perfidy to tribe.

    VII. Disloyalty to your betters, unless called for by custom, masterly will or sacred and unholy decrees, for it is perfidy to the order of things.

    VIII. Unfaithfulness to your kin, unless called for by custom, masterly will or sacred and unholy decrees, for it is perfidy to blood.

    X. Failure to avenge yourself and your kin and master upon those speak ill, harm and slay you, unless called for by custom, masterly will or sacred and unholy decrees, for it is perfidy to revenge.

    XXVIII. Mercy to slaves and lowly races, unless called for by custom, masterly will or sacred and unholy decrees, for it is perfidy to cruelty.

    XXIX. Relent in oppression and exploitation, unless called for by custom, masterly will or sacred and unholy decrees, for it is perfidy to domination.

    XXX. Failure to punish, unless called for by custom, masterly will or sacred and unholy decrees, for it is perfidy to judgement.

    XXXI. Failure to grasp hungrily for more, unless called for by custom, masterly will or sacred and unholy decrees, for it is perfidy to greed.

    XXXII. Gullibility, unless called for by custom, masterly will or sacred and unholy decrees, for it is perfidy to cunning.

    XXXIII. Failure to betray unworthy allies and minions to benefit your kinsfolk and master, unless called for by custom, masterly will or sacred and unholy decrees, for it is perfidy to lordship.
