Hello to all, to those who know me I have experimented many times with different attempts to make my Quest dungeon but due to family reasons were sold to make money and restarted later on. With the release of Silver Tower, I was wavy with the idea of being in just a Tower and that GWS just slap the name to a new board game. But worries aside the game is good and a inspirational for my project came from the Silver Tower Adventure Book page 3 of a Lord of Change grasping within his claws two dice.

Silly i know to base a project on that one image but from that I remembered the film Jason and the Argonauts where the men were but pawns to a game of the gods. and I thought what if we were the gods as players controlling the models in a world of the original Warhammer quest using the silver tower rules. Where we see the models on a board floating in the denzions of the tzeentch world but the models see only their world of stone and earth. I took the project at full speed and decided to try a make the Original Quest with the new rules for silver tower.

My games will be heavily influence by my main band of Heroes which will be based around a witch hunter that his adventures will be games against undead and daemons and greens.

To complete my image of a floating board in all codexes and Warhammer fantasy army books tzeentch buildings are floating upon rocks, I wanted to repeat this strong image so am using the scenery from Dreadfleet to make this a reality

So I wanted to have a clear image of the board floating so I knew the flying stands by games-workshop were a good starting point
I place loosely the Dreadfleet rock scenery to get an idea of what it would look like once placed

From looking at the flying stands done by GWS I found another company run by a another now good friend called Simon whos
blotz company does laser cutting of both pdf and clear plastic. we decided on using a clear base stand form from two clear bases
with slots to fit the flying "legs" and with clear glue. sorry about the pics being wrong way, warseer pic upload changed the images I uploaded for some reason cant find an adjustment tool to rotate it

I have made a order with Simon for multiple flying tile stands so while I wait for them I've been very busy the other side of making the board with my models and rules ideas. Now I wasn't happy with the current orks GWS do, size wise so I knew my first conversion work was to make a very large aggressive stance orks to fight. I like the Ork Nobs from a old starter box including ultramarines and a crashed plane for 40k and used them as the starting point, few Warhammer heads and swords and shield swaps and this is what I came up with.

With making the orks bigger I wanted the scale of the heroes to suit and I loved the avatars of war range so bought a large amount to get started with. I also had a old Grey Wizard from Mordheim which worked with the imagery I wanted for my project.


My first Hero I wanted to work on was the Dwarf Ironbreaker which its presence amplified the idea of defence and this is what got, very happy with the result.

My next idea was my Marauder, now I like the darkoath Cheftain, but not his head so may do a heap swap in the future. I wanted to do big two handed axe so using one of the new Khorne heroes from Age of Sigmar's Axe this is how I got on.




And my Bretonnian Questing Knight on foot, I couldn't find one suitable so I had to convert it I think it came out ok

Ok I knew I wanted a Bretonnian Knight and my idea has been called Blasphemy by a certain legend on the Quest forum. But I think I did a good conversion little touch ups to be done. But happy with the result, I may do another one same model but I try maybe a sword conversion. Avatars of War also do a female Imperial Noble which is very thin compared to the others so we see how it fares later in size comparison.

I'm a fan of repetitive stances with enemy models, with small differences. Easier to represent when rules and gameplay come into mind. But I should of known GWS would bring out multi limb models later on. Anyway these are the models I did as soon as the game came out last year. I wanted them all to have shields so here they are.
It was the same with the beastmen, I wanted repeated stances with little changes and the axe looks really cool so wanted to express this in the models

On to the blue horrors, again the models are nice so simple hand swaps and they'll do for me

Gotta say this is one of my favourite single models Gws has released, beautifully stream lined

So gaming wise I have experimented hero wise with original character ideas of models, either have or hope to get. now some rules are made up, but 87% are taken from the app, renamed or reapply in certain way which I thought would work, weapon stats are same. these are just ideas, I hope their fare in game haven't properly tested them but will soon.
When it came to doing the Dwarf Slayer I know theres a two handed weapon model and two axes I like so I tried to make the hero so you can use either.

Upon looking at the images after uploading, the Pit Fighters Battle-blades ability is supposed to be +1Combat weapon action not whatever you like to do action.

So I received my order from simon and have started to glue the tiles to the stands, need to purchase more clear glue to really start going more in next post, for now I have just wanted to see how the terrain would work with the game so pics illustrate my idea of using the extra side tiles for terrain but not getting in the way of game play.

ok so gaming wise I wanted to make rules for orcs but I wanted to make them simple and game play straight forward. Now orcs with hand weapons and shields, orcs with bows I have made be havior charts simple and forward but i wanted to have shamans and brutes, warboss etc but that means more charts which I didnt want to do, so i'm trying 2 charts one for orc warriors and one for bows, with orc brutes and shamans to make them stand out a little, they will follow the charts but have one ability which will make them stand out in games not massively but enough to keep it stream lined. Orc Brutes are able to re-roll failed rolls of 1 while shamans unless adjacent to a hero, they will always attack with their spell area attack. I will make bigger meaner characters with their own charts, their will only effect them on the chart but I haven't tackle them yet suffice to say they be like the gaunt summoner and the ogre wizard. here are so let me know what you think

I'm amazed by how cool those floating tiles look. Seems like a ton of time and effort but I love the result! Can't comment on the rules because I play very little and have next to no idea how these things are supposed to work, but good luck!
