Could the cylinders be repurposed elsewhere on the model and maybe replaced with supporting struts? The shoulder mechanism certainly seems sturdy enough, however I definitely get a sense that some form of additional support would be helpful given the scale of the weaponry and their recoil...

Awful thought that could involve lots of changes... What about some sort of shock absorber that could go forward and backward to absorb some of the force of each gun? I don't know where they would mount, as it would seem implausible for the whole yoke to move back and forth. (What if the guns were firing in a desynchronous pattern?) Maybe something under each of the elbow joints?

I'm all for extra gubbins, however there is a certain absurdity to the shocks to nothing... Changes now are easier than changes later..

Thank you for continuing. There isn't another project like this on the internet..
