You may recognise McMoo from the first team I posted, Chaos Dwarves. I'm finally getting around to reusing some models. For several teams, I am planning to just amalgamate players from other teams, another reason for the same colour scheme on most teams. Saves me cash and time! Also, apologies for the bottom left of every one of my pictures - for some reason I cannot ever get my phone to focus on anything in that corner.
The Warriors
Entirely Mierce Miniatures with the weapons removed. Love the two metal big guys, and most enjoyed painting the chap on the left. First time I've ever used a 32mm base on anything too. Interesting size - too big for normal guys, but a good midpoint between the 40mm big guys base so my chunky lads don't look TOO huge.
The Beastmen
All but one have some sort of mutation, even if it's only a big head. Can you see the beast who hasn't been blessed? He's not happy about it... Thanks to Abraham Danglebreech and his mutant army for giving me the push to just paint them in all sorts of colours, and try something bright with the hair. An inspiration.
I'm quite pleased with how they all came out, and it has been some good practice on painting skin. It's still the kitbashing that's my favourite though, using all those old bits and chopping and carving them until they fit - so good!
Anyway, next project is finishing the terrain bits for my next Rangers Of Shadow Deep scenario, then I'll be back to BB to redo my 3rd edition humans...
Cheers, dude.

I really like the dark armour; looks great .

I haven't been back for a while cos Warseer went down yet again and I've been waiting for my browsers to stop telling me my time is set wrong (it isn't, just Warseer's certificate out of date again). Very frustrating.
I finally finished the terrain I was doing and got going on the Humans! Several progress shots to show - I would have put these over over the last couple of weeks but... you know:
Finally stripped and based. Loads of spraying to do, especially as I decided to undercoat white then spray the base rims black, which involves spray one at a time while masking the body of the model with a toilet roll inner tube. Not too bad, but took an evening sat in the garden with torches and a lantern so I could see what I was doing.
All ready to paint! One linesman is done in the background, still working on a thrower, blitzer and catcher as 'test pieces' to plan how the scheme works on each position.
In other news, I've rejoined the local league for a new season with my Dryad Wood Elves. Currently 3-1-1 and finding that BB20 gives you a LOT of money (especially if you play a high scoring team - 95k winnings in my first match. Enough for a thrower straight away!).

Slowly progressing with the Human team, just 3 guys left and I'm onto the stars and backroom dudes. Picked up a few bits over the last month or so too:
Decided I may as well just get a dedicated ogre, as using one from the ogre team would mean rebasing the lot and using Grak, while awesome, would stop me ever being able to use Grak and Crumbleberry, which seemed a shame. Plus the boxed set ogre is dead cheap - <£10 delivered. While I was searching, I also found the boxed set refs for £6 delivered and just couldn't pass that up, so 2 new refs to add to my collection. Pretty sure the new dwarf ref is going to be SIGNIFICANTLY bigger than the old dwarf ref...
Saw these in the FLGS a long while back, and they popped into my brain recently as fun keg counters (think I was looking at a keg/fan counter on Greebo that involved drunken dwarves with kegs...). Unfortunately the FLGS no longer has them in stock so had to order online with P&P (bleh) but Wizkids blisters are <£5 so it didn't break the bank. Looking at them, I'm pretty sure the end of the kegs is smaller than the old school dwarf shield so the shield bosses should fit on the end of the barrels, which will make for fantastic branding/logos for the different ales. Looking forward to this, should be fun to knock out! Gotta get through the Humans first though...

Just been catching up with your beastmen. Gorgeous painting and colours! I particularly like the blue furred, and pink furred ones, and the eye mutation is inspired (I’m stealing that idea). They look brilliant all together too![]()
Thanks, man. Your stuff really was an inspiration - helped me just relax about colours and just paint, cos your beastmen are all sorts of colours and look awesome. A very direct influence on the blue and pink!
The eyes are a nice simple mutation to add to plastic bodies - the chaos spawn sprues have loads of eyeballs all over them, so just a case of picking one off, drilling a hole the right size and adding a little green stuff to made an eyelid.

Humans are done! EDIT: Fixed image sizes.
The whole team!
Blitzers. Ever since they stopped you rostering Star Players, I've used Griff as my 3rd Blitzer. The 4th I only picked up a couple of years ago, at a local show.
Throwers.
Catchers.
Linesmen. These guys are going to do a lot of work, as they will be Vampire Thralls and Chaos Renegade and OWA Linesmen as well...
Halfling.
Ogre. Like Griff used to be my 3rd Blitzer, I used to use Zug as my ogre. Cheap plastics and increased team availability for him mean I can save Zug for being a proper star.
I've been doing some bits to break up the humans, so here's my balls:
The kegs are basically done, just trying to think up a name to paint on the back of one. After they're finished, I'll be finishing off the human stars and staff, then probably updating another old team...

Great stuff- wonderful painting.

Coach and Apothecary. Had the coach since way back, but only picked up the apo a few years ago. Just like with the Orc coach, it's a model I've wanted for about 20+ years since seeing in a White Dwarf, and now I have it!
Griff. Black Scorpion star player. As I'm using the 3rd ed. Griff as a blitzer, I needed a replacement. Picked this guy up for £5 at a Salute a while back, absolute bargain.
Zug. The classic. Post-star rostering, I've used this guy as my Ogre, but the size of big guys now means he just doesn't look the part anymore
The White Dwarf. Wish I'd got him done when I did my dwarves, but at the time he had to be played with the Black Gobbo, which meant painting both and having the right combo of teams and a willing opponent... Just didn't seem worth the extra work. Now, I can play them individually. Black Gobbo is in with my Goblin bitz, ready for when I get to them...
Currently working on a Hellboy model which I'm not massively enjoying (own fault - I messed up the primer so it's pretty rough but fragile resin bits so can't strip easily), then I'm either going to get one of my Greebo models out (a birthday treat for myself) or give another old team a touch-up and rebase, like the Nurgle team.

Wow, thought Warseer had died its final death during that last outage, but it's back, so so am I!
Left the Greebo things for another day and decided to rebase and touch up my skaven. They were entirely made from the Gutter Runner box except for the throwers, and I experimented with just using washes for as much as I could (this was back in ~2009 when GW reintroduced washes after moving away from hex bottles). I even made a Rat King rat ogre. However, the rattle can varnish came out a bit frosty and killed all the metallics (never used it before, not used it since), and I'd put them all on the square bases that came in the box, which also weren't snow themed, so lots of work to do.
The team.
Throwers. Had to do from Gutter Runner box - one is an old metal thrower, the other has a metal thrower arm on a plastic body. Found the arm on eBay, perfect fit in every way, no idea what model it came from.
Blitzers. Claws + 'helmets'.
Gutter Runners. Hoods + cloaks.
Linerats. Just bog standard rats from the box.
Rat Ogre. I had the Island Of Blood rat ogres sat in a box not doing anything, so it was an obvious choice use one for BB. As I've said before, big guys are much bigger than when I started building teams, so some I've had to upgrade.
Muties. 20 bodies in the box, so may as well have made some randoms with added spawn bits. Love the big hand guy, he's going in my Chaos Renegades team when I get to it.
Apo.
Hakflem Skuttlespike. Simple conversion by adding a head and extending the tail of an old metal blitzer. Think he might get some use in skaven, gobbo and underworld teams under current rules...
In other news:
*My kegs are complete, but I haven't taken a photo yet. Very pleased with them, they are a great addition to the dugout to remind me about the kegs I've bought.
*I got through to the finals of the 5th season of our league with my wood elves/dryads. Man, woodies really are still a very top tier team. I played 13 league games: drew 1, won 12, including a 3-0 victory in the final despite missing 2 Wrestle/Dodge and 1 Kick linesmen for the game. My first time playing with elves, so it'll be interesting to try a different elf team at some point to see if it's all elves or just woodies that play like that...
*For the next season I'm looking at changing it up (as usual) by going either Chaos or Gobbos. Chaos aren't hugely inspiring so I'm leaning toward gobbos, assuming I can get them painted before.

Just finishing up the gobbos and realised I had a couple of work in progress pictures I hadn't uploaded! Before I get to photographing the finished team, here's the WiP's to wet any appetites that crave gobbos.
The raw pieces - AoS/WFB Gobbo box, Zarbag's Gitz, 2 old stripped metal trolls, some plastic bitz and a bit of wire...
Nearly done, just trolls, basing and a couple of positionals left to go.
At this point I just have some blood effects to try on a troll then take some pictures. Hopefully I can find the time and space to get it done this weekend, but 3 year olds will be 3 year olds so you never know...

Some really great work here, loving the heresy mintoar. The human team looks great! I should really paint my BB dwarfs
Thanks, dude. The minotaur was a perfect find at Salute, so lucky to spot it as it's works beautifully in BB. Definitely get your Dwarves painted, would love to see them!
The gobbos are completed!
The Rib Peaks Rascals
Fanatic, Looney & Pogoer. The Fanatic is great as it is so different from a standard Fanatic it adds something new (and height). The archer hands are nearly perfect for holding a chainsaw. The pogoer has the banner pole arm, extended with some plastic rod that goes into the base, with a shield and some rope from a weapon drilled out (such an incredibly delicate process) to add strength to the join. The spring is from something my wife found (no idea what, but it's some sort of long thin spring/coil), and the head of a mace was drilled out to make a stopper on the bottom. Banner pole topper added to the top as Scrappa has a skull topper, so this guy needed one too.
Bomber, Doom Diver & 'Ooligan. Bomber has plastic rods with wire pulled from inside some electric wire, except the one he is holding which is his weapon cut down. Doom Diver is maybe my favourite, with rocket and head from the Stormboyz set and that wire going into the base of a sword hilt as his 'ignition control'. 'Ooligan bangs his gong for Disturbing Presence, and has an extra spike on the bottom of his instrument for getting in those Dirty Player fouls...
Gobbos. More careful drilling on all those hands.
More gobbos! Wanted to get a 2-headed gobbo to use in Chaos Renagades, and there was only one headless body and 2 heads for it in the box so just about made it work with a little green stuff and lots of filing. The Zarbag's Gitz gobbos added a bit more variety into the squad, pleased with them.
Da trollz! Had these guys forever as my trolls for everything, mostly my CJ Snotling team (the good old days). Now, I actually have a decent saw and ideas for what to replace their weapons with! Noise maker on the left (might have put the centre piece on the wrong side, but it's a minor issue I didn't notice until I started painting) and a lacrosse/hurling stick to toss goblins made using a spare giant/gargant hand on the right. Love that guy's eye!
Credit where it is due, the inspiration to use Zarbag's Gitz and a jet pack for the Doom Diver come from Targ3tje on Reddit's r/bloodbowl. Not a Reddit user myself, but it came up when I was searching for Night Goblin BB teams and looked so similar to what I already had in my head. Never ever played as Gobbos before, so this season will be interesting one. Now to paint some more Star Players - got a Dribblesnot, Black Gobbo and The Verminator to get ready (and must, MUST remember to photograph those kegs next time! Totally forgot today).

The Amalthean Crusade: Background - Grand Army of the Imperium - Iron Warriors Plog
The Defenders of Tor Sethain - A WFB Tale Of... Plog
Thanks, dude, that's really kind to say.
As promised, Keg shots:
Very useful to have actual markers to remind me of the bonus and add flavour. The shield bosses on the end are perfect.
With Morg for size comparison.
Also, super useful star player:
Bomber Dribblesnot! So good in the first game I've used him in. Hard to see any inducement options other than Bomber + as many Bribes as I can afford for Goblins.
Also also, a GIANT!
Bargain Reaper Bones purchase for ~£6.50 from a local gaming show that was originally intended for Frostgrave (snow based, so still usable there). He's not the most massive, but big and bulky enough he certainly feels like a giant compared to my other models:
Doing some terrain bits for other games next (fly holes for Rangers of Shadow Deep and billboards for Gaslands), then I dunno - either some of the latest Hellboy board game KS stuff or the team my wife has nominated. Latest league season has just started so plenty of time before I need to have another team ready.
