How experience works in necromunda gang war 1 and other questions.

In the french edition p 15/16/17 there are three progression table that i find highly confusing. The first one is available to every one ? Where you pay for progression including skills (p16) One where everybody rolls except specialist except if a ganger become specialist. It's a table without skills. p18 it's a table only for skills.

So how does it work? Do i pay on the first table, then roll on ethier teh secon or third table? Does it work differently?

The trade post does not have heavy weapon. Does that mean that esher can't have acces to heavy weapon and the goliath only to the one they have?

What about older models of heavy? Do we let them collect dust?

How function territories? Do the gang have a basic one that allows you to collect money and then add more with special qualities?

I don't know if it is the translation or this edition that frustrate me the most. I love the minis but the feeling that i buy the rules in pieces when before they were in one book is hard to accept.

    Hey Corps,

Yeah, I'm disappointed eith how they have split the rules into the main book and at least 3 different supplements - it feels a bit money grabbing...

So on advancement, it is different for gangers than for all other gang members - when a ganger has 6 xp they can roll on the second table.

For leaders, champions, specialists and juves you pay the price on the first table, if you have bought a skill upgrade you then roll on the third table (you need to choose which skill set you're going to roll against).

The trading post has no heavy weapons and no armour, so Juves can never have armour even when they're quite advanced. I'm hoping the trading post gets updated with gang war 2 (out today!). You're older models may have to collect a little bit more dust.

I've not read up on territory yet, but in the previous versions each gang got one at the start of the campaign and could gain more as mission rewards as the campaign progresses.

Hope that some of this helps.

Thanks you a lot for the clarification and for the help. I m starting to think that i will buy as a collector but wont play that edition. I m disguted by their policy of release.

Ten pages on 65 on gang war are more a less a reprint from the rules book. 22.50 euros.

Ten pages on 46 are again more or less reprint from the rule book. 22.50 euros. So only 36 "useful" pages for the same price!

The rules are unbalanced, the restriction of weapons and recruitement makes no sens and are justified by balance.

You can't change weapon on a minis because ganger love their toys.

So we have unbalanced rules, same price for less material, a fluff that is not great. Ok that one is subjective but still...

The only cool thing is the exceptional qualities of the minis.
