AoS Factions are finally settling down

    Evening all,

I was searching the GW site the other day and noticed that the AoS factions have been overhauled again on the site under each alliance. They now break down into...

    Order
    • Aelves
    Daughters of Khaine
    • Dispossessed
    • Free Peoples
    Fyreslayers
    • Idoneth Deepkin
    • Kharadron Overlords
    • Seraphon
    • Stormcast Eternals
    • Sylvaneth

    Chaos
    Beasts of Chaos
    • Blades of Khorne

    • Creatures of Chaos
    Disciples of Tzeentch
    • Everchosen
    & Slaves to Darkness
    • Hosts of Slaanesh
    Maggotkin of Nurgle
    • Skaven

    Death
    Flesh-Eater Courts
    • Legions of Nagash
    • Nighthaunt

    Destruction
    Beastclaw Raiders
    • Bonesplitterz
    • Gloomspite Gitz

Greenskinz - These have now gone from the GW site
    • Gutbusters
    Ironjawz

Most of these have Battletomes (in blue).

We know that Slaanesh will be getting their BT this year. For the rest I imagine we will see the new High Elves this year too as once Slaanesh breaks free they will have lots of time on their hands.

I'm not sure what the future of the Greenskinz and Gutbusters is...though the Greenskinz Start Collecting box isn't on the UK site anymore.

Not sure how much of the Slaves to Darkness range is in the Everchosen book but I assume we will see this settle when the Darkoath are released. Creatures of Chaos could easily stay as a range of random Chaos beasts unallied to any particular Battle Tome.

That then just leaves the remaining Dispossessed Dwarfs, the Free Peoples and the survivors of the Dark & Wood Elf ranges. With the Wood & Dark Elves the plastic kits are mostly the new-style dual kits so I kinda assume they are staying as are some of the Dwarfs...maybe all of these will be rolled into one tome.

    What do you think?
