Hi to everyone now and to everyone that reads this in the future, I have over the last merge been posting bits on my Warhammer quest page but now I think its time to start its own blog and not squash it all into one. To Start off with I be re posting all the photos I can find of what I have done so far, this will be a slow blog due to mainly where i'm currently with the project is waiting on Simon (you know more later about him) and time to turn my designs into mdf pieces.

20 or so different terminators to choose from

So to start off with every Christmas I buy bits and parts to put together a kit bash present to myself that has either court my eye, liked the idea to make it real or seen a model and got to put my own twist on it. the model was the Store birthday or New store opening Limited edition Terminator Chaplain, it screamed Black Templars and at the same time I was reading (a very worn and read a dozen times) copy of Warrior Brood. Love the deathwatch before this but first time read a book on the different personalities put together, so there's my inspiration, and after a powerpoint odd job the idea was a go.

Hi all so i knew what Terminator Libby i wanted to use as the entire model is awesome i just had to remodel the shoulder pads and the model was good as done



Another model I knew I wanted to use was the Salamander Terminator that came with the Deathwatch Overkill game but again I wanted to convert a little so will be changing the nozzle of the flamer when I do build it, also pick up the terminator captain sprue



Manage to get this sweet model too, how can you not use the Lysander model for the Fists. Knowing that I wanted to use modelled shoulder pads and there's a limited amount of them made by forgeworld I turn to 3Dshapeways and found many a talented designer and have had 19 different chapter shoulder pads made to order. in terms for my board I pick up a large amount of these pipe sprues knowing these will be rightly use.

Hi all so what I wanted to do with this project was have no limited to weapon types as deathwatch is a specialist branch where the Brothers use weapons their fond of and thought it be cool to have as many varied and different weapons I can think of and make rules for them. with many different poses I wanted to try and get as many angle as possible for instance I will try to have a terminator shooting with left arm up and right arm down am hoping to do another with the opposite arms, this goes for combat terminators too. I loved the idea of a shield and mace and decided to do the Howling Griffons as the chapter to represent this, with the 3d chapter images I received I went ahead. (for all those that actually read the jumble mutterings I write you would of notice and know that these 3d prints came before I found a designer to create the 3d shoulder pads and was going to go down this route with what I had, I found the badges to be too small for shoulder pads but perfect for armour detail it was not long after I got the idea for Shoulder Pads. So what you see is the first attempt at shoulder badge conversions)





As for my board design we started out with this design idea but after making my quest board raised I wanted to do the same for Space Hulk Too

hi all so a group photo so far I 've lost the pics of my space wolf terminator but all honesty I was happy at the time but have had other ideas to use the space wolves for something else in the future



My next terminator is to be a Minotaur and a new weapon load out for Space Hulk.

Hi all so this is the finish project at the time but to give a future update once i knew i would be using 3d printed shoulder pads i removed the spear arm and will be replacing the arm once i get the shoulder pad(personally very happy as wasn't fust on the arm)





In terms of other projects the techmarine is something I would like to do thinking of an iron hands ironfather or a space wolf iron priest

My next Standard Terminator will be the Scythes of the Emperor

Simon manage to send me blue prints of the 3D board for laser cutting and their looking great so printing is a go!

I made a start on my Exorcist Chapter I thought using the grey knights details would better represent the chapter





I also finish the Scythes of the Emperor model and I manage to pick up dark vengeance terminators

I made a bitz order for books and purity seals to add to make terminators and add a new edition to the collection a Black Consul

Hey all i got dry fit pics from Simon first and very happy it all came together



Next Terminator I started was the assault cannon terminator, I wanted to use the DA assault cannon but not be a DA terminator found a torso of a sable swords icon in the deathwing pack and got my connection with the sword on the barrel just need to put in some green stuff to fill the sword crack.



The space hulk model had to be cut to fit the torso which the end result am glad went well.

Hey all so the model came out well



been thinking towards next batch of models to build i know that the deathwing and blood angels assualt terminator box sets offer a lot of value for its money



Been thinking of a new space wolf model as not happy with the one I did. maybe a heavy weapon specailist



I think a techmarine will be a cool conversion and theres only 2 chapters that can represent them right

As mention before the posts are back logged from my other thread so i pick up the trial tile board last year and set an evening aside to test various pieces with the mdf.

Very happy with the end result that me and simon have decided to go ahead with the build of doing a full mission map. Inital Talks are of making a large part of the board as single pieces rather than loads of multiple parts when their so close together.





Update 24/07/20

So i have changed the design of the board a little, i design and made my warhammer quest board to be raised and love it. I thought i would love the idea for space hulk but found that i loved the quest board for it being my idea and what i loved about the original space hulk is the board tiles had such a high level of detail at such a low level, not needing any scenery. Also hirst arts space mold projects grab my attention too.

Hi all i hope everyone has kept well and safe, i have had to work through lockdown, but finally getting back into the space hulk project, i have decided to change my board height to be more ground level reasons mention in earlier post. I have change my captain and librarian models to make them wear helmets as i didn't like the idea that their in the middle of space with alot of airless corridors and genestealers like fleshy areas pretty easy target really. and my assault cannon didnt look like he was packing for a long period of isolation on a space hulk.
