I had a full on year and little time for any progress. Hopefully that is changing.

I'm glad there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we'll get to see a few new minis.

... the world needs to smile a bit more, I reckon
...
Seeing as I have a couple of these, it was only right and proper to paint one up for my army. He'll proxy as a command comms, I think:

He looks like he's pumping his fist to the latest hot Dwarf Techno track. Excellent work.

He's based on a friend of mine who is a DJ and loves '80s and '90's music... and he loves to "fist-bump" the air when he's playing a set... so it's more that, than the beer... but it could CERTAINLY be both
.

I was hoping to paint up a Christmas miniature but didn't have time... so here's the latest sculpt, an Ordnance Officer. Merry Christmas:

I thought that he would have slightly different uniform to my standard army, due to him being an advisor from an ordnance regiment... and I reckon that those who deal with heavy artillery would need helmets...
I've started an Air Force advisor and he'll be wearing a chip-hat.

The Air Force doesn't allow beards... so a fabulous moustache just has to do. Someone has just buzzed the tower and he's mad because it made him spill his cuppa!

Little bit of a mod he would make a good Mortar Man.

But... he'd have to put his cuppa down!
I had nothing to do with the mortar team. That was all Chris's work (converting some of my troops and getting a mortar sculpted)... so I don't have anything to do with it.
I am having a bit of a "lay off" at the moment... catching up with a few commissions... so the Dwarfs are off the table at the moment.

Just in case anyone was wondering what I am being distracted with, that is stopping me sculpting more Squats... this is going to be a pendent for a friend of mine who used to be a Navy Diver. He wanted something different, even though I said I could sculpt him a Navy suit:
... and this is a conversion that was requested for a gaming table, at Salute 2023:
I'm currently working on a "chibi politician" and a pair of 2" tall, laughing Buddhas (which, when complete, will turn into a pair of tasty lobsters because I'm trading them with a local fisherman).
In other news, I've got hold of a Siku 8x8 Argo that is likely to become a transport option for my halfling snipers. In fact, I have been looking at it with a view to fill it with sculpted-in snipers... LOTS of leaves!
(Google search for Argo: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Si...client=gws-wiz )
Here's a reminder of my snipers:
Then... maybe I'll finally sculpt a 6" tall Audrey Hepburn that I've been promising someone for years...![]()
.
That said... I doubt that I can keep myself away from this project for very long...

Inso, these sculpts are great - some fantastic stuff here. I really like the Wine Witch!

@ Gen. Steiner - Cheers.
I've been pretty slow with these, lately... but I've sent a few off for casting and they should be back over the next couple of weeks (hopefully). The ones off for casting are the two advisors, the Engineseer with his servo arm, Thor and the diver (that's being cast in resin and metal so is likely to hold things up for a little while). They have already been cast in resin... just waiting for the metal casts before they are all sent. The resin casts:
I still need to sculpt some servitors but I am really reaching the point where the sculpting for THIS project is coming to an end.

That said... 10th edition is coming soon so I may need to add a few other units... but I reckon that will need to be a different project.
I have always planned to make some carapace clad Squats... maybe that will be the start of the next big project...
