Cheers.
I have since added wire for the arms and started bulking it out... and they have started to look quite dynamic (even the ones just standing) . It's going to be a pig; sculpting the pistols but it's not something I haven't done before... and seeing as these are not as uniform as some of the previous ones, a little bit of difference will be fine
. Axes and hammers wont' be a problem
.

Something from the weekend. Started on Friday evening, finished on Sunday. Someone contacted me and asked if I could sort out a Squat piper for him... I said I'd give it a go and really got into it
. It's nice when that happens; especially when I'm in a bit of a lull (motivation wise) at the moment
. It's converted from a classic, plastic Squat head/body and a few bits of wire and tubes... with a bit of green stuff
. It's already been sent off too
...
I'm now thinking that I might need a piper for my project now... what do you reckon?

Inso,
Well I think that would be a grand idea indeed. Good job on the old Trooper figure.

This is not one of the miniatures that I planned to finish... but here's a Primaris Psyker proxy:

I'm glad you like him. I wanted to mix things up a bit
.
The belt buckle was left plain so that it could be painted like a planet... but I'm sure that other details could be painted on to "shujj it up a bit".
I have a female version on the cork at the moment...and I am working on one of the close combat troopers too. Once the lady has some clothes on, I'll share some pics because at the moment, some of her assets look weird because I have squashed them to fit into clothing
.

They look great, especially the kicker!
Are you planning a mini diorama with the kicker?
This is Sparta! Whomp!

I'm not even sure that I'll be adding any of these to my army (apart from the DJ) because there isn't a slot for them (unless I use them for sgts/officers) so I doubt I'll make a diorama.

It's slow going... but I only have to sculpt the bolt-pistols and basing tabs... and do a final tidy up... and the five Close Combat troopers will be finished.
I haven't been in a sculpting mood, lately (I got poorly... but I'm better now
) so I am on a bit of a go-slow. That said, I have nearly finished sculpting a mecha (converted, Robotech, Gartan mecha) pilot for my OLD army project (based on the original plastic Squats) and am ticking along with the bolt pistols, in between drying times... did I mention that I don't like sculpting weapons so that isn't helping at all.
Still... all progress is progress, no matter how little.
