    My Blackstone Fortress Miniatures

Although all of these pics have been posted over the last two years in the Warseer Painting Support Thread I don't have collected together in a plog; so now that I am actually finished the basic game I decided to do just that. Essentially these apics are the order I painted them in.

I started with some traitor guardsmen.

I followed that with a couple of characters.

Though they make an appearance later in the game, I chose to paint the CSM and Obsidious Mallex next.

I added a couple of spindle drones for a break as they are so simple.

Onto the ratling twins; wonderful models, a delight to paint.

I followed them up with a pair of beastmen.

This past winter I was a member of the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge and as a part of it I painted Dahyek Grekh, the nega volt cultists and Taddeus the Purifier.

Nifty models but A LOT to paint on them.

Like the Nega-volt cultists, Taddeus was time consuming to paint.

Also as part of the challenge I finished off the last of the beast men.

After a bit of a break I did the rogue psykers.

As well as the remaining guardsmen.

I loved painting these figures; just the right balance of detail yet not overly complicated.

    Re: My Blackstone Fortress Miniatures

The final stretch this past couple saw me finish one of my favourite models, Janus Draik, the rogue trader.

    2 more mindless spindle drones.

The 4 ur-ghuls which were both very simple yet fun to paint.

I kept close to the studio paint scheme, though very simplified.

That left me with the last two characters; Amallyn Shadowguide and the robot UR-025.

Probably my least favourite model in the set, though more fun to paint than the CSM.

UR-025 is one of my favourite figures.

I loved painting him but as he was the last mini of this project I think I rushed him a little bit.

Congrats, it must be a nice feeling to have painted all the miniatures from a game. I like the whole Star Wars vibe I get from your pictures. And when I look at the right traitor guardsman in the second picture I feel it's a picture of a real person!
