    Warhammer collections

I’ve been collecting Warhammer miniatures since 1994, Here I will show the progress of painting as many of them I can. Orc and Goblins I will put in my old plog, terrain stuff I will put in my plog Warhammer Table, the rest goes here. Oh yeah, there is also a Space Hulk plog I’ve started a long time ago, that will get updated soon. And some 40K stuff I want to make a dedicated plog of.

I am working on Wood Elves right now and Khorne Daemons. Momentarily I’m playing Warhammer Armies Project.

I'm working on a Wood Elf lord on forest dragon and an Army battle standard on a meadow chariot.

Those kit-bashed Furies look great; the wings look very natural on those beastmen.

Here is a unit of Wood Elves Glade Guards. I bought a Wood elves army about ten years ago. The army was about half way painted. I really liked the colors, so deceided to layer over it and keep adding some touch ups and details.

I've finished the movement trays. Only to find out I forgot at least four. Oh well, that is a concern for later.

The movement trays are always a pain! You have a great solution here! What all did you use?

    Re: Warhammer collections

I use 4 mm hardboard as the bottomtray, round wooden sticks from the supermarket as the border and around 3 mm thick balsawood for the insides of the skirmish movement trays. the round sticks for the border, once glued in place with woodglue, are then filled on the outside with wall filler. For the green color, I just did one layer of green wallpaint, that I chose to be as close to goblin green as possible. I then glued all sorts of flock onto the borders with white glue.

To get myself motivated to begin such a project, I first check online what movement trays are going to cost me and then I'll decide to spend a few hours in making them myself, as I've allready invested enough in the hobby. More precisely, I think about what miniatures I can buy for the amount I just saved on pre-made movement trays :-)

    Thank you!

Here are 5 Dark Elf Reaper Bolt Throwers. I put some extra care in the lavabases and I made ropes from steel wire.

FIVE repeater bolt throwers? Well that'll sort out basically anyone! Fantastic basing, and I really love the Wood Elves further up the thread. The beastmen-furies are a particularly cunning conversion.

Thanks! Here is a war hydra for the Dark Elves. I made it from cheap toys.
I'm still working on the beast handlers.
