    First pics of Fantasy terrain

    Hi folks,
a friend of mine was on the Nürnberg Toy Fair where the toy industry presents the new stuff for the year. GW was also there and presented a flyer plus some real models of the fantasy terrain that appears in some previous rumour threads.
He gave me the flyer and a photo of the gaming board. So here are the possibly first pics of these fantastic terrain pieces due summer this year.
Pic 1-3 are the buildings "watch tower", "chapel" and "walls and fences" (no wind mill yet as rumoured), pic 4 shows the big box including kits 1-3. Pic 5 shows "arcane ruins". Pic 6 are the plastic trees, mounted on one terrain piece, pic 7+8 are two new hills, pic 9 shows the modular gaming board in action with some other terrain pieces on it. I will add a second pic of the board with its bag in a minute.
Here we go (be aware that the pics are big, around 100-400kb ea.):

Nice. Do you know if there will be a big mega set like they did with Cities of Death with 40k?
    Do onto others. Period.

Re: First pics of Fantasy terrain

Here is the pic of the modular gaming board in its bag plus a sketch of the puzzle edges. BTW the flyer only shows the pics with the above names and the release date "summer".
The other page is on the Nemesis campaign, but give no new details 8other thatit really IS in the forests of the Empire). It only details the summer campaign procedures which are exactly the same as in the Medusa campaign 2006 (website, booklet, global and interactiv).

Edit: No prices, just names and pics. Box 4 is something like the Imperial sector, as it includes all three building boxes. But the special non-city buildings and limited modularity are not in favour of doing a bigger building box, but that is my personal oppinion. No info on the fair on a big army size box, but I have heard unconfirmed rumours that there will be an all terrain box, and i guess that it will be a limited release like the "Imperial city".

Re: First pics of Fantasy terrain

    Thanks. Awesome information.

It's odd to see them using the Citadel brand. It reminds me of the days back when my local game shop stocked the old trees. I brought them up the register, handed over my $10 bill, and soon learned what an English pound was (the game store never changed the price tags from the English version). I always thought the symbol looked odd.

Also, this looks like the normal dragon kit, but what's with the wings?

Also have a look at the live picture (#10) in my first post. I am not sure, if the dragon is a new chaos dragon or something. Sorry, no better pics of that one.

Nice finds. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to incorporate the first two into my Bret castle.

I noticed that too...I can't make out much about it, other than the fact that it's not something I've seen before, as far as I know.

Edit: It's likely a conversion, but upon magnification, it's a Chaos Lord riding a Dragon. Pretty nice if you ask me...well, from the back anyway.

Perhaps the rumoured new plastic dragon, modular for several races?

Wow, those are neat... but I don't see the coversion potential of those compared to the COD ones.

But, we will have to wait and see won't we!

I like the idea of the "puzzle" table. that would be VERY handy!

    Thank you for the pictures.

Very nice, a surprising change from a lot of what we have seen of late. Thanks for the pics!

Re: First pics of Fantasy terrain

They all look really good, could be better painted though, like the tower in the last pics of the battlefield. That shows how good they can and will look on the board. Very nice indeed.

Awesome. Just plain lovely! I guess it would be ~£15-20 for each basic set. Uber cool.
